  1. Some of them have decent kit. Its not a 100% stat issue. I just played a game where a WH sorc used his interrupt on my force lightning. Woot!

  4. Following transfer of my server (Legions of Lettow) to Tomb of Freedon Nadd I think I finally get it why people are saying this game is well balanced. Most people are simply stupifyingly, incredibly, mind bogglingly, BAD at this game. Honestly on Legions of Lettow, I felt like sorc healers were pretty underpowered but after only a day of playing against 13-15k hp marauders, asassins and powertechs I can honestly say that they are actually hugely overpowered (although so is every other class from my server - oh wait). Seriously how can people say a thing about balance when its glaringly obvious now post merge that 99% of players are total incompetents who presumably are challenged enough by the games login process, nevermind PvP itself. On Legions of Lettow I had to kite contantly, melees hit me for 5k+, people steathed for objectives, healers fake casted you know, fairly NORMAL decent play. How refreshing it is now to see people just run around in melee packs mindlessly hitting stuff and keyboard mashing. I just had 4 stuns cast on me whilst i had full resolve. Love it! I might respec to full pve "for the aoe heal! lol nub". Excellent work people. This totally explains why some people completely fail when discussing balance, theyve just been playing against (or are themselves) wonderfully, beautifully bad players. Im quite moved. PvP community, you have surprised me today.

    Great thread. I totally agree BW should definitely spend time "balancing" identical mirror classes rather than fixing, you know, the 100s of major issues with the game. Great job op. Do you work for BW out of interest? With logic like this Id consider applying
  9. Your opinion may be skewed as you are obviously playing people in canoes. Try playing people on dry land and you will realise marauders are indeed overpowered in defence.
  10. Says the "unbiased" sentinel player who posts his rhetoric in every thread too. I don't think marauders are mssively overpowered btw, a little yes, but not terribly. Just find it funny that you constantly say other people have an agenda / vested interests when its absolutely obvious your own bias is at least as bad. Tank sins needed a change, they got it. Op healers needed a change, they got it. Sage healers need a minor change (upwards) , they didnt get it. Marauders need a minor change (downwards) they didnt get it. Bioware's legendary "metrics" are not telling the whole story and people who say I told you so now.... wait. Rated will tell the truth.

    Guardian need a buff

    I havea 50 BM jugg and a 50 WH sorc. The jugg is absolutely fine, the sorc is gimp as hell at times. Jugg is what I would call balanced, not up, not op.
  14. Fair play to you for posting a vid. Pretty average stuff (considering you're one of the most talented players in the world ;p), but then for only a hour or so of PvP I guess fair enough. Props.

    Voidstar problem

    Yeah bombing doors in Alderaan is buggy as hell. On my game the doors never spawn, instead we get turrets. So bugged.

  17. You do realise the hypocracy of this in the context of this thread right? This is your agenda, you are pushing it right here. My opposing belief is that the changes made in 1.2 have hurt PvP healing for the following reasons: Across the board TTK changes reduced reaction time for healers and reduced the effectiveness of non instant casts. Across the board TTK changes reduced skills level for DPS to perform (now spike > a long term rotation / interupts) For sorcs/sages specifically these changes are exaccerbated due to the nerf to DI cast time (which magnifies both of the above issues) Obviously the class hurt the most by these changes is sorc/sage healers as they are the class with the most long term potential healing output (ie better in long fights) and the least mobile. Apologies but the devs posting "L2P" responses to random points (eg suggesting resource management is the main nerf to sorc/sage) does not help. It simply comes across that the dev team do not understand their own game.
  18. I actually think thats a good response from bioware. They admitted the mistake and said the players involved will get direct apologies.... Cant ask for more than that if a mistake happens. Seems fairly obvious that the CS guy has tried to cover tracks or something (given the log checks)....
  19. Look, perhaps you're right and you are god's gift to MMOs. I know that 31 corruption on my server is not viable as we have mdps who will focus and harrass you instantly and without the cross spec ccs you are dead. Period. Perhaps you're better than me, perhaps your server is worse. Who knows? Still... should a class be balanced around the top 0.5% or the top 20%? Fairly obvious that top players can still do well with bad classes. Imo the classes should be balanced around the top quartile (ie people who are not bads but not the absolute elite). (FYI I still do fine on my sorc too, its just that I have to try 2-3 times as hard to do as well as I do on my worse geared jugg - that doesnt strike me as right).
  20. A guarded op or merc is at least as hard to kill as a sorc and they can't be shut down by 1/2 dps. I have yet to see a situation (except against terrible teams that let you freecast) where an Op or (to a lesser extent) merc is less effective than an equivalent skilled/geared sorc. They put put similar numbers and can actually put out healing when on the move or when focused. Mobility is now simply too important now for the static casting class to work. The 1.2 changes made a healer standing still (as sorc/sages HAVE to do to heal) far too easy of a target. To be competitive with the other heal ACs with current TTK sorc/sages need more mobility. Realistically TTK just needs adjusting and suddenly the class needs only minor tweaks (like DI readjusting). As an aside, I also have a 50 jugg in BM gear so I regularly see it from the other perspective. When *I* see a sorc on my jugg the 1st thing i do it attack it 90% of the time. I know at very worst he will be forced to kite me for 45s or so (effectively taking him out of the game), more often it I also know i can get damage medals from him super easily and likely an easy kill. If hes guarded then great, I get to hurt the tank and the sorc as he is still forced to heal himself and kite. Perhaps its because I know what sorcs don't like but tbh I find them almost free kills even tho my juggs only in BM but to me, it just feels like night and day between the 2 chars.
  21. Its not even close to an Op, they can heal on the run and have CDs for when they get focused. Merc is closer for sure but they do have a defensive CD and better base survivability. You're now suggesting that the game should only be balanced for team play. In which case why are we being forced to Pug WZs? As far as utility goes, you only have great utility if you cross spec, then you lose healing output. Currently tho, I agree, cross spec is FAR more overall effective. The base issue here is the across board increase in DPS not really class balance. I think the nerfs to sorcs went a little far (increase in DI cast time specifically) but the real damage was done in the TTK changes which made spike, mobility and DPS king. The fact that sorc is one of the least mobile classes (now made even less mobile due to DI) just magnifies these effects for the class.
  22. So using your logic, and as you are one of the best players in the world, you make the class look good. So surely you would be amazing at every class.... right? Cos youre so good. In which case why does your opinion count again? Pretty sure balancing on the (self proclaimed) top 0.1% is a bad idea. Truth is, both other healer classes trumps sage/sorcs healers (easily) in the hands of skilled players due to their improved survivability and mobility. The only time sorc healer excels is against noobs who do not realise that they can be shut down with very little effort. Noone is arguing that sorcs cannot put out big numbers. We are simply saying that that fact is irrelevant.
  23. So you have awesome players on your server but they all quit. Ok. Thanks for proving me right!!!! Anyway as people have said, tbh I have no idea if you are amazing or bad (unless you post a vid). My point was just that numbers do not make you a good pvper and its VERY easy to put out big numbers when you are not being focused (ie playing anyone half decent).
  24. Gratz on the big numbers. Proves nothing. Numbers are easy to push up, actual effectiveness in PvP is not directly related. 100k damage in a full 15m VS is just a joke. Your server must be terrible.
