  2. Problem is, it isnt ignorant. Rude pehaps but the ignorance is yours. PvP in this game is so drastically different in 10-49 compared to 50/RWZ it doesnt ever bear comparison, honeslty, you may have opinions now but they are not based on the full picture. Sounds harsh but unfortunately its true, enjoy sub 50 wzs, they are mostly a lot more fun than 50s . *edit* Ha! Didnt see the date, funny. I still disagree with you tho, PvP healing is only balanced for sorcs when you player poor players who dont attempt to shut you down.

Anyway, nice ignoring of the basic question: If we are a turret healer where are the def cds and why are we in light armor? If we are a kiter, why are all our major heals cast/channel? Please enlighten us.

  5. Tbf I agree and disagree with you. Ive hit 6k max on my big heal plenty of times pre 1.3, since 1.3 landed I can do a 5k every WZ top being around 5.5k. On the flip side I totally agree with you on DPS. I get hit for 5k all the time and my jugg in BM/WH hits for 5k on sorcs all the time.

  7. Right, I took your post as literal (ie expertise doesnt not affect damage - obviously wrong). You meant it doesnt affect damage vs mitigation if each player has exactly same expertise. My bad I guess.

  9. This guy knows what hes talking about. Ironic thing is that the DPS posting here "you are bad, sorc healers are awesome imo" are the actual bads here. Sorc healers are ONLY good when playing incompetent players (ie allowed to cast). Against any decent players youre a free kill. @OP - Dont listen to most of these guys, Youre not wrong and you opinion wont change much in WH. I run in full augmented WH and I still drop like a sack of **** when a decent DPSer properly wants to kill me. And yes, I get crit for 5k+ ALL THE TIME. I also have a BM/WH jugg and I hit sorcs for 5k ALL THE TIME. Class is just broken. Go hybrid and get what fun you can from it until BW get their heads out of their.....
  10. Its funny to see DPSers who think sages/sorcs dont get crit for 5k+ regularly and accuse them of lieing. Im in full aug WH (albeit not yet min/maxed) and I still get 5k crits regularly, average well geared smash is 4k-4.5k, deadly sabre is 3.5-4k a top player (min/maxed) can easily smash me for 6k (and they do, often). I on the other hand, can put down a 2.3s cast DI on which my best ever is around 6k. Compare that to an insta cast 6k aoe. Hmm.
  11. I have almost infinite force now too. Honestly dont get how people run out unless they spam reviv mindlessly. I just cant see how he thinks THAT is the nerf people complain about when our main heal got a 1s increase in cast time. Blindingly obvious what the actual nerf is. Double dipping was an obvious bug that needed to be fixed but was far from game breaking for us. Making our main heal 2.5s as base means its 90% useless in PvP as you cant use it reactively and its like a giant sign our your head saying interrupt me.
  12. Then we are arguing the same point! The class is simply poorly thought out. - If we are a turret healer, why no def cds/survivability? - If we are a kiter, why are all heals channel/cast? Just doesnt make sense from a mechanic POV. I have (personally) NO issues with resource utlisation and/or healing output but the class is just mechanically wrong.

However he just rambles on about resource utilisation which is completely NOT the point, it doesnt take skills to retain force, I dont get how people run out ever... The problem is do we kite or do we stand? Currently you cant really do either.

  16. Not going to flame you but ok, if thats your stance, please explain exactly what you are doing that 90% of us here are not. As I see it these are the broad tactics available to us (obviously not exhaustive or in detail, just themes): Hide Of course as a healer you need to do this. Pillar hug, Speed away when someone looks funny at you, LOS, etc. Do you honestly think noone else does this? The issue is when you are a healer against good teams, you will be insta marked after your 1st heal. When you have a reputation on a server as a GOOD healer you will be insta marked before your 1st heal. Good luck hiding for long with a mark on your head and when DPS know you are around. Run Away/Kite Run away, fine. You run away what are you doing for the team? Youre certainly not healing anyone, youre not contributing to objectives. In fact all youre doing is distracting 1 DPS. You cant heal effectively as you need to stand still to heal and most DPS have multiple gap closers anyway. Run away is simply deferring death and not playing for objectives. Stand Still The "noob" option according to L2Pers and yet the only one where our heals can be cast. Obviously taken to extremes it is noob. Standing by a turret in an aoe obviously is stupid but seriously, we HAVE to stand still to cast all 3 of our main heals?!!?!?!?! Please enlighten me how you cast them on the run. I don't want to flame you, honestly, as Im sure you think youre correct . However, please enlighten me. I expect the fact is that you either arent well known on your server or are playing pretty poor players (ie not organised teams). If not I would genuinely love to know what you do to be able to reliably keep yourself and others up for more than 10seconds.
  17. Ilum isnt broken its working as designed. As in no open PvP at all as there was no design.
  18. Has resource management EVER been an issue for PvP? Not for me in anything since live. The issue isnt even healing output which is also fine for the most part if you are left alone to cast (ie never). The issue is the loldiculous fact that all our heals are channeled/2.5+s cast so we have no ability to kite but also no def cds to stand still. A fact that the "L2P" people never seem to have a counter for.
  19. Numbers dont show a thing. Any class can pump huge numbers if unfocused and uninterrupted.
  20. Interesting stats, thanks for posting. I dont tend to believe that numbers mean a lot as aoe (unless cordinated) and dots tend to inflate numbers but make very little difference to the match result (ie the point of PvP). The interesting thing to me are the class counts. Surely that fact that Marauder/PTs are so MASSIVELY more popular in Rwz tells more than the rest of the figures combined? Players know what works (hence why so many top end PvPers are marauders and PTs), the numbers are mostly irrelevant due to inflation (not to mention low sample size for every other class).
  21. Yep, L2P, your "skill" will obviously reduce the 5k crits and make your 2.5s cast instant.
