  1. Just in case you aren't aware: there is a solo option to continue with the Shadow of revan story: You can always go back to the table and chose to do a bunch of dailies instead of the operation.
  2. For me GS worked in making GSF "more popular". My original GSF impression during the early access was shaped by the awful tutorial and the game mode having no sound on Windows XP. Never touched it again. Over the course of the past 5 weeks, I went from "What the...? Why a GSF weekly?", to actually prefering it as a daily PO, to listing for fun even after having already done all missions. Simultaneously, my ambition went from "lets try to be somewhat useful" to "how does that leaderboard work?" to digging through that ton of tutorials you vets have made. Beyond bribing players to give it a try, GSF could really use a better tutorial where we can fly our actual ships vs. AI. Also, where is the "(don't let them) reach the thermal exhaust port" trench run mode?
  3. I started playing about an hour after weekly reset. But the first char I logged in to was a lowbie char on Hutta. Below level 10, so no access to conquest. A few minutes later, I logged over to a level 75 in the Nar Shaddaa Stronghold.
  4. So you want the leveling "experience" but not the story? The Master's datacron is for those who want to skip leveling but play the story. The Commander's Character Token is for those who want to skip both story and leveling. No option to skip story but not leveling, it's not that kind of game, going to a higher level planet won't end pretty, BW would have to revamp the level sync system, to leveled up lowbie chars to the planet's level, and still at some point you would miss skills that the combat design for the later planets expects you to have (like stun break or interrupt).
  5. Yeah, it seems we can still get last week's objectives, but they no longer work. Got CZ198 and Iokath dailies, rerolled iokath, got Black Hole. CZ198 didn't count, didn't even show on the achievement tracker when tracking was activated.
  6. There is more to it, Realtek just makes the audio-chip, digital output should be the same for everyone, but the DAC and amplifier stages for analog output are made by the motherboard manufacturer. The big "gaming" brands often go way beyond Realtek's specs when they add their electronics, so you need to install your motherboard's driver. Every time my Windows upgrades, it decides a generic Realtek driver will do. When that happens, I don't get stuttering, but my sound is muffled. After installing my motherboard's audio drivers everything is fine again.
  7. There are two versions of this set currently available during the christmas season: BoP "Life Day Robes" available for event currency: BoE "Festive Life Day Robes" on the cartel market: Even without the floating glowy snowball there are much better items to invest your CC in if you want to make a good profit half a year later. There is a third version, the original BoE cartel market version of the "Life Day Robes" without the snowwball, that unlocks in collections, but wasn't available on the CM since the event item was added 5+ years ago. Now it might only drop randomly from a cartel pack. So your best choice is to wait until Life day, throw some snowwballs and get it from the vendor, or when you actually like the version with the orb, buy it with the CC you grind with GS.
  8. The goal is to complete one page in the UI = 5 levels / 40 points per week Assuming the only group content you do is flashpoints, and you play 5 days a week, you get to level 100 in 19 weeks: Loging in at least 4 times per week (8 points) 25% chance to get the FP weekly initially, and a 50% chance to get it on a re-roll. That's a 62,5% chance to be able to get those 12 points each week, so let's say on average 7.5 points per week. (15.5 points) With 1 re-roll for dailies you're guaranteed to get at least 1 PVE mission = 3 points per day. (30.5 points) The chance not to get both PVP objectives initially is 98% (100% - 1 :8 * 1:7) the chance to get the other PVP objective on a re-roll is 1:6=17% So we have a 82% chance to get another 3 points. that's 2.45 points per day on average. (42.75 points) If you don't do any group content, you need to play 6-7 days a week: 8 + 6*5.45 = 40.7 Only hardcore raiders and PVPers who refuse to do anything but their game mode of choic are screwed. After 20 weeks you'll end up around level 30 (raiders) and level 45 (pvpers).
  9. Just finished it with one player who helped out without being on the quest (never did it). They were blocked by invisible doors at the Laser-grid before the elevator, and the door after the light-bridge. Luckily I was on a Sorcerer and could pull them. It's hard enough to find players for this one-shot quest. When someone is so nice to help even though they aren't on the quest themselves, they shouldn't be blocked by doors that only open for those on the quest.
  10. The Stronghold-Name banner now shows up every time we close the hook editor, that might be a design decision because someone thought it's a good idea for players who can't remember which stronghold they just edited. What's definitely a bug is that the banner doesn't fade out properly if you don't start immediately running in circles the moment you close the hook editor, just like it was when entering the stronghold in the past 7 years, until you finally fixed it in the previous patch. Same for Conquest-Winner banners, they seem to be back to the old behavior when the first time you enter a new area on the planet is via heroic transport.
  11. Well, it is an exponential function: cost = 175000 * level ^ 1.5
  12. Still, the OP claims to speak for many players, and I've actually seen several similar reports from german players in the past weeks. Best those players can do is come together and compare their routing data. Ideally, everyone has the same ISP or the problem always happens at the same router, then we have the culprit. Who should take action really depends on which end is closer to the problem. When the issue is within the network of the player's ISP, a bunch of angry customers ought to have more leverage than some foreign gaming company.
  13. It helps when you have several stealthers. There's a lot of instanced heroics where you just need to get to the clicky. It would also help if we could do any 3 heroics on the 3 planets, instead of having to do all 3 on one planet. What annoys me more than waiting for clickies is competing for kills. Killing 75 insects on Balmorra was kinda okay, the planet is split by faction, and Bugtown is aptly named. The Geonosian massacre on Tatooine on the other hand, made open world PVP a thing again, and doubting that there even are 75 bugs on Voss, everyone grinded the imp heroic.
  14. A few weeks ago, someone posted a trace route with what seemed to be a routing loop between Telekom and Level 3. (The same Telekom IP twice in a row, with a big ping jump, then Level 3). If that's your ISP as well, and it's still not resolved, then a gaming VPN like WTFast or Exitlag might help for the time being, but the ISPs really need to start getting their sh*t together. For a traceroute press Win+R and type "cmd", and in the command prompt type tracert 159.153.72.252 That info will help either ISP (yours or BW's) to try solve the problem. Best place to post it is the official support site, though. If you pay for a static IP, you might want to hide it when posting the tracert.
  15. Do it after "the Incident" for the additional pleasure of knowing that Quinn can hear you across the ship.
  16. In my GSF-newb experience, I got the "you are not contributing" message a lot, just trying to get to the action. Surely there must be a kick-timer associated with that? There is a difference between players trying to end a deathmatch quicker, and newbs crashing into stuff while trying to get familiar with the controls (caught myself trying to evade stuff by moving the mouse really hard, like I would with a joystick). You do want the later, right? Getting more players to play GSF also means there are going to be more inexperienced players in queue. Maybe make crashes not count for the other team when the player wasn't engaged in combat?
  17. A lot of people rage quitted because the win-only system made staying a waste of time. We all know when a game is lost. When it was still counting half, we would sit down at our only node and wait for it to end. The win-only system was added because some people where just there to get their mats and didn't contribute. Who would have thought that not everyone will contribute when "forced" into a game mode they don't want to be in? BW's efforts to bribe players to do more PVP (and then force them to participate for the whole match) created an environment that incites toxic rants in group chat by PVPers who would have left before the lock out. Losing matches isn't much fun as it is, when you force po'd players to stay in a game they want to leave, I'm out. Don't need to see their rants (or start participating.) Haven't done any PVP for months. GS brought me back for my daily WZ, but since there are again players who feel "forced" to do PVP, it's only a matter of time until GS also only rewards wins.
  18. If those guys in your ops hadn't at least contributed something, you would have kicked them. The same applies to PVP, (Just that there is no kicking): any damage, any healing, any enemy you interrupt. It all helps your team. And it's over more quickly when you actually do something. Tanks play different in PVP, but dps and healers have exaxtly the same job. In warzones run with the crowd, if you stay back at a node, your team assumes you volunteer to guard it. Show them this isn't the case and keep moving. As long as you contribute, and don't just sit down to wait for the game to end, I don't see why they should be ranting at you specifically. (Ranting in general, like: "why aren't you *** guarding the node?" is part of the game mode ) Otherwise just pretend its an OP with a hillariously bad tank and you have to carry everyone.
  19. Back in the day (before 4.0) all inquisitors had force lightning. Abilities were streamlined in 4.0, so new players wouldn't be confused by abilities that are a mainstay of one spec but just a flavour gimmick for another. So Sorcs lost Thrash, Assassins lost Force Lightning, Mercs lost Flamethrower, Powertechs lost Unload etc. Little chance those abilities will ever come back, let alone be made viable. That said, Hatred Assassin has a mix of melee and 10m range abilities similar to Lethality and PTs, maybe worth a try.
  20. That's a an old picture. We got two character sheet reworks since then. No way for us players to change it back. (A lot of us would like to do so...) The computers are all around the ship and should have green markers on the map. Quick google search brought up this here.
  21. A little bump, don't want to wait another 7 years until it's fixed again.
  22. Warzones are just the same as the rest of the game with (arguably) better enemy AI. There are red mobs to kill and clickies to click. If you don't want to play objectives, just fight red and support your teammates like you'd do in PVE. Maybe make a new PVP char with a class you are comfortable with and list for the level 10-74 bracket. That gives you an advantage over players who just learn how to play their class, and nobody expects wonders from a level 10 anyway. As for GSF: I'm in the same boat here, but have a more relaxed approach. I have ignored GSF for 7 years, too long to catch up with the veterans. While I learn when to push what button, or even just how to fly properly, the other team may have a blast killing me, but I'm sure so do my teammates with the enemy noobs. It can be a blessing to have absolutely no idea what's going on around you.
  23. When you finish the last quest of a storyline you should automatically get the purple intro mission for the next one, but here's the latest story flowchart on reddit: https://old.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/n0xy51/linear_flowchart_63/
  24. That's a one time password you need to enter when you want to change your login data. There should be a text box in the page that opened where you enter the OTP to prove that you have access to password and email when you want to change the security key. When the issue is that you can't use that email address anymore, you need to contact CS to change the email.
  25. To unlock Altuur, pay 100 CC or earn 8 points by doing 1 weekly or 3 dailies or get your 4 days login reward. You can then claim him on one char. Unlocking him account wide costs 10 CC (5 CC next week with the unlocks sale)
