  1. Is there any chance for a page in the collection menu for Fitted gear? Other than clogging up Legacy inventory tabs and multiple character inventory's that is.
  2. I generally like the new UI layout. Takes some getting used to but in the long run i tink it's better. But the grid in the inventory is really bad i.m.o. I much prefer the thin hairlines of the old inventory.
  3. I think that WoW eventually had it right with their transmog system of collecting armor visuals. Though i must say i hated the cloth/leather/plate (class) restrictions. Looking over the responses i probably shouldn't hold my breath for any changes soon. Oh well...
  4. I've always wondered why there is no way to collect armor set visuals to complement the outfitter system. The amount of bank space that is needed to store none-cartel Legacy wide armor sets is quite frustrating. Not to mention the missed opportunity of collecting quest-reward/leveling sets and player bound drops in the wild. It would even be a great way not to have to delete a full inventory worth of Cartel armor sets 1 by 1 every time i'm mixing and matching. It's like a car with it's 4th wheel missing to me.
  5. Your example might actually be me tbh. I enjoy selling my stuff before anyone else and that is worth the undercut to me. It's your greed that sells my stuff fast and ensures that i never (or extremely rarely) have to repost something because i got undercut. I also enjoy the notion someone (might even be you) gets lucky. My mindset is just different than yours. If ever im really strapped for credits i buy a datacron and sell that... and ALSO at an extreme discount. Which means i'll sell for 298 m when the lowest at that moment is 350 m. It's extremely weird to me that my generosity is the source of your frustration and anger to the point you feel the need to insult people over fake cash in a computergame.
  6. First of all... i did the whole Class story on all the Classes on well over 120 characters. Secondly, it's not 'the work' i don't want to do, it's Class line i want to skip sometime, just for variety sake or to make it a bit more sandbox-ish. I now have a few Classline-less characters that have a whole different feel to them because they navigate outside the beaten path of the Class storyline. For example they don't use lightsabers (i mostly level force characters). There is a variety of non-lightsaber weapons out there (vibroswords, etc.) that make more sense to me on a non-Jedi/non-Sith force-sensitive character imo. Over time the devs have gradually changed the game so you don't need side-quests anymore... i do only side quests and planetairy arcs with some Heroics sprinkled on it to get the XP needed to level up. It also seems like some quests don't even show up if you don't do the Class arcs which makes it even more inconvenient. So yeah, i don't want to do that 1 hour of 'work' but not for the reason you imply.
  7. I would be highly surprised if the ship was anything more than an asset to be called upon at any time by a reward(switch) at the end of a quest (routine/module). It's probably nothing more than ticking a box on a list of your characters abilities. That is why all the other stuff (the legacy port, the green barriers, etc.) all already in the game for your character at lvl 1, inaccessable until the box is ticked, regardless of the level of your character. As far as i know the first thing that is created for a game is its developers interface, after that its a matter of stocking its resource database with assets, like ship/armor/terrain doodads, etc.. I once custom built an entire database system with interface in Office 95 (iirc) purely by dragging and dropping (Visual Basic style) standard boxes and buttons and drag_connect the parts. It was a good years work in my spare time but eventually it held ALL of the order/customers/supplier administration for the small company (10 employees) where i worked. The ship is just an asset and 'having a ship' is just an ability box to be ticked. It actually IS that easy and i'd be highly surprised if it wasn't because that would be insanely inefficient and weird. The steps to betaken for a thing like this is determining if its financially worth their while to spend the hours on AND to check if it has any negative effect on the balance in the game. For that latter part i'd say it has zero effect on anything. You literally unlock your ship about 1 hour earlier at lvl 1 OR at around the same level/time you usually get it. All depending on how 'afraid' they are of lvl. 1 characters traveling the Galaxy. To which i'd say, whats the difference because at the time you currently get it there are also many 'dangerous' planets to get killed on due to high level mobs. Normally at lvl 8 you are allowed off planet by use of the shuttle you also use to leave for the fleet at the end of your Storyline. Its also the earliest set of the mod-gear you can buy on fleet. So lvl 8 would be a good point that i'd say is appropriate for getting you ship_switch turned to ON when you chose not to do the Class storyline. But anything later would be great as well. From Fleet you can get to Coruscant/Dromund Kaas and quest there. So maybe the next appropriate point in time could be lvl 15-ish?, its the same moment you can get the introduction quest for the Stronghold that has an option to leave that needs a ship.
  8. On the other hand, lots of people have read this thread and didn't feel the urge to comment on it. I'd call that interested but neutral. I wouldn't cal making a thread about a subject and discuss said subject 'banging your head'. I made this thread because i believe its a subject worthy of discussion and i enjoy discussing it.... not because i enjoy banging my head or even headaches. And as for 'lots of support alegedly needed' ... you never know when a dev picks up on the idea through the forum and considers it a good idea based on player behavioral data as people often say one thing on the forum while the majority of the players do the exact opposite ingame.
  9. Yep, and as i see it all story instances are closed with neutral choices or choices that don't change any outcomesI think all dialogs have at least 1 neutral/inconsequential outcome. The Droid already is blank and all the comps will be in the same state as they first arrived AND how they are after all class lines are done .... blank. If you use the fast travel to ship legacy transport before you have a ship you end up somewhere on the spaceport... don't remeber where eactly though, its been some time ago. The reason the teleport works BUT sends you to a different place is because the teleport routine checks if you finished the ship part of the story and actually have a ship. The entrance with the green barriere is always there. Its imagine it goes something like this: - IF [shipStoryline_Finished]=true THEN [GrantAccesDock]. Its been a few decades since my BASIC and Virtual Basic days and i was never any good at it but maybe you get the picture. Think of the game as a large collection of modules that are called upon in a sequence. Calls can be triggered by conditions and flags. That is why you always enter the ship with your first comp during the first entry cutscene no matter what comp you entered with. It is simply marked TRUE (as in DONE) on the 'list'. I only ever used a datacron once and i don't remember if i got the cutscene when i entered my ship . But im 99,9% certain i didn't as that is one of many things that are part of the characters 'past' that is skipped (marked as DONE) in the datacron. If its still there i would find that highly illogical. The only actual 'work' that needs to be done as far as i can see is switch the 60/70 (condition?) to FALSE and remove the armor module or set it to FALSE or whatever.
  10. It boggles your mind that i am of the opinion that i should have it in my sub but would pay 500cc for a legacy wide unlock? Okay... sure. Doesn't even surprise me tbh. But that because of 'this' (whatever 'this' is) is "why we can't have nice things" made me LOL and CRINGE at the same time. I'm so sorry that you feel that my ship&comp wish ruins all the nice things for everyone... hahaha
  11. As i've said before... they can allow the ship and droid or even the comps at what ever level they wish. Its nothing more than an ability at a certain level. If they can send you comps in the mail with ever character you make, they can do the same for comps that are already there. Just flags and very little work needed. a small priced Legacy unlock would be quite enough to cover both cost and turn a nice profit over time. I find it hilarious that you obviously would...but im not paying 2k for something i can get an hour after i make a new alt. The boost they are selling has the ship and crew in it for reasons of continuation at the given level. What i want is just the ship and not the level boost... i don't want a level boost i want to level myself but NOT WITH THE CLASS QUESTS! .... but i do want to quest and do missions and level up and get my ship and crew that i otherwise would get... is it getting through already? No? Didn't think so. 500 CC for a Legacy wide unlock for a ship and crew at any (low, like 1-15 or so) level they wish, provided i don't have to do Class quests. Yep, i'd find that acceptable. I get a ton of free comps as it is NOW.... the class ones are no different.. just empty shells you can level up with gifts. I already answered that. It makes good business sense. Lots of potential profit for almost no effort. Will they do it? I don't think they will. Maybe for reason i haven't thought of yet or just because they don't give a toss... whatever. Or maybe its here in the next update because a dev read my post and did 5 minutes of 'hard work'. And as for 'few players would....' ... hahaha. Its not what i believe but what i know... even with my tiny knowledge/experience in programming. Complete and utter nonsense. You are totally sucking 'problems' out of your thumb that aren't there. The mechanisme for transplanting ship + all the crew already exists in the game and has nothing to do with your level. The boost is about getting a new character to a level that would allow the player to play new content and skip the old stuff. For that reason alone you get your ship, everything with it plus every Class thing 'completed'. The comps aren't 'tied to the class quests' the way you make it out to be. Its just a sequence of events where a new event starts when a certain flag is up. The comps are just assets in existing code. The datacron minus the boost... its as simple as that. To me that would equal to 2000 cc minus 1500 and then im beeing very generous. EDIT: And just to illustrate my point... i leveled a new character this afternoon and went to Coruscant... the first NPC i talked to for a quest complimented me with my fine work on Tython and even named the guy i defeated in the class quest I DIDN'T DO! That is how everything is 'tied together'. hahaha
  12. That is a timing issue and has nothing to do with anything now. The people that are willing to pay for subs or stuff from the shop are the ones that make the game possible. And the more balance and variety there is ingame, the bigger the chance that more people want to pull their wallets for it. And do explain why beeing forced to do the Class quests for the ship is so important? Many times i just abandon the Class quests right after i get my ship and droid. Are we actually doing it to please people like you? So you can rest assured that everything 'is worked for' in the proper way by people you will never meet or know to exist? Are you for real?
  13. ). Im not paying 2kCC for a datacron that i don't use for what it is intended for. I'll gladly pay 500cc ONCE for unlocking ship, droid and comps for my Legacy. Absolutely. The mechanic is already ingame, its just setting flags like someon mentioned earlier. But if you are clueless about computer programming (and im no expert myself) then it must all seem like magic. A few hours tops... 500 CC would be extremely generous. Read the thread.. and if you still don't get it, try it yourself. I dare you! Why? Is that what you do when you get it at lvl 18(ish)? Personally i will use it as early as lvl 8, though i don't really need it yet at that point since i can use the shutle to get to the fleet. But i might also skip the entire starting planet and do space missions with my ship from lvl 1. Didn't think of that one did you?
  14. . LOL ... what a statement. Care to explain why that is? For starters, i don't give a toss about your weird communist group ethics and secondly, its a ship that when you not have it doesn't prevent you from traveling the Galaxy ingame. And as for 'working for it' ... im still doing quests and heroics to level up. Remove them all from game and whatch the game DIE instantly. You don't have the first clou as to how important solo play is to any MMO out there. Without solo play you simply have no game. And MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER means nothing more than 'multiple people game' as opposed to 'single player game'.
  15. Because 2000 CC and why should i have to pay extra for an option to leave out part of the game. I don't pay for Faction choices at the beginning of character creation, why should i have to pay for a leveling style choice? Im not asking for extra's here... if anything im probably working harder because i miss out on the Class quest XP boost from my Legacy AND the Major XP boosts from Class quests. So i pay 2000 CC for a boost and then go through all of that to pretend it isn't there? I don't think you understand what im asking for and why. I also think you are blowing it way out of proportion. What does it matter that i get my ship outside of the Class arcs and maybe a few minutes earlier than the norm? Its not like i would suddenly have amazing advantages. Its just the thing i would get anyway except now im doing different quests for them. Its a very cheap and easy extra option to enhance the game? It would probably also attract players that are interested in mixing things up like me. They do exist you know. I'm not holding my breath nor will i pine away if it never happens. Im doing a character in that fashion right now and use the Heroic transports to get around. Its just that it is clunky and would greatly benefit from me haven a ship OR at the very least allow me the use of the Galaxy map teleport functions. EDIT: I wouldn't even call it a feature... more a fix to an oversight. Because why put all those extra leveling options in the game and then cripple it by preventing your character from getting a ship? And even NOT having a ship is negated by putting galaxy/planetary transports on Heroics. It's just an oversight that needs a fix imo.
