  1. They have, when the limit still applied to all types of NPC: And then they changed it in 2.10.2: I also vaguely remember a forum or blog post or live stream, where they went more into more detail on the change to NPC decorations, how that reduced their impact on server performance, and the side effects. (e.g. pet decorations being silent since then) but I can't find it.
  2. Pub chars are supposed to do Maelstrom Prison in Solo or Master mode. Veteran doesn't work (definitely soloable, but no HK part) Imp chars get their part in the Foundry instead. Just did that a couple weeks ago, worked fine in solo. So in case Maelstrom Prison is actually bugged you could unlock HK on an imp char and then buy him in legacy for your pub char. Are you sure you weren't in veteran mode? Did you have the jesus droid?
  3. The NPC cap of 25 only applies to selectable NPCs, that includes companions, selectable personnel decorations (usually vendors) and some pets (usually those with a visual effect, like glowing Raklings) There is nothing stopping you from making a cantina crammed with people, as long as the majority aren't vendors or companions. As for why it was done: selectable NPCs can be targeted by abilities, imagine 50 players using AOE abilities on dozens of NPCs simultaneously - that usually happens across a whole planet, where the server only has to update the nearby players on the state of the NPCs. Having this in a single room might cause server-lag problems for everyone, not only those in the stronghold.
  4. Either that or check this list for 2021: And the mentioned excel list with his whole inventory week by week: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fRXQzeGyEK8tlY3Lpok8DzZoC6RBjoHqV2t56r2S-EA/edit#gid=1640567873
  5. Once the app is installed, you don't even need internet to use or even setup the key. It's not llike texting a one time password. There is no communication between server and app, instead, the app generates a checksum from the current time and the actual secret key that was exchanged only once during setup.
  6. SWTOR uses a RFC 6238 key generator, so you can use any authenticator app that uses that as well (e.g. for Google, Microsoft, Paypal) many apps can handle several accounts and have a built in data transfer feature when you get a new device. For Windows you can use Winauth: https://winauth.github.io/winauth/download.html On a TI-84 use TI-Authenticator: https://github.com/jshin313/ti-authenticator
  7. Sure, maybe it's by design that the tooltips are static now (they weren't before 6.0) wouldn't be the first annoying UI change in the past years, but without an official statement, let's assume it's a bug instead of a sneaky change.
  8. This bug has been in the game for 1 1/2 years now. The numeric countdowns in tooltips are no longer counting down, we have to guess by the visual effect on the icon how long it takes until the ability becomes available again. A game repair won't help.
  9. Some lines are changed for Sith pureblood. Kallig being Sith or Human and his house falling out of grace so deeply, that 2000 years later his descendants are mere slaves, makes as much sense (if not more so) as an alien being a powerful Sith lord hundreds of years before the Great Hyperspace War. While the Sith empire is inherently racist, slavery in the Sith empire is not. It works like in antiquity, where a bad debtor was just as likely to become a slave as a prisoner of war was. The main premise of imperial philosophy is that everyone is in chains one way or the other, and the highest goal is to break them. In reverse, those who can't break their chains deserve them.
  10. When you deactivated it, you need to go back to Odessen with a char that bought access to the room with the terminal.
  11. I see 10:07 as well. I write this post at 9:16 AM my time (7:16 GMT) and yeah, shows as 7:16 to me. Edit: Got the 7:16 using Firefox. Internet Explorer and Edge as well as Chrome and Kiwi on my phone tell me I wrote this at 1:16 AM, and they show me 4:07 PM for ceryxp’s post... Getting GMT (i.e. no timezone offset) on Firefox might be a privacy setting, But 4 other browsers showing me MDT instead of CEST is weird.
  12. Have a look here: https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9946716#edit9946716 TL/DR: Companions should return with 6.3.1, then the vendor will change inventory every week (likely with the weekly reset on Tuesday 12pm GMT). No date when 6.3.1 will come out, but likely the 15th or 22nd. Shae Vizla will be available one week later.
  13. The stronghold UI has pages. The "About strongholds" text-block is always on the last page, so when you buy another stronghold, the text will move to the 2nd page, and make room for a 4th stronghold on page 1 To "activate" one, just go to the terminal and buy it.
  14. Yes, when you're happy with your one login-reward level each week you can continue as before, you'll only reach level 22 before the season ends, but IMO it's a good choice to just enjoy your story right now. There will be other seasons. Don't fret, the 5 extra levels you bought aren't wasted, you should end up at level 27 this way, getting one extra token and 200 cartel coins. If you do the grind for one more level at the end you'll get another 200 cc, just stop spending credits now, the prices are really just starting to increase. If you more or less ignore galactic seasons, you won't max out influence for the Kubaz companion, and won't get all the weapons and armors, but I'm pretty sure the old subscriber and preorder rewards will stay on the token vendor, so you'll be able to get those or the stronghold in the next season(s). The catch-up options are for those who want all the rewards, can't or don't want to put in any effort, and have plenty of credits or cartel coins to burn. Still, have a look at the priority objectives (click on the checkboxes in the upper right corner of the GS window) your daily might be killing 75 NPCs on the planet you're currently questing on, and it would be a shame if you left at 74 kills.
  15. Not the OP, but I think I know what the issue is: We are back to week 1. According to https://www.swtor.com/info/news/article/20210426-1 this week's flashpoint weekly PO was "Coreward Worlds". For some reason, the OP got the wrong weekly ("Wild Space" is week 5). Same happened to me with the dailies (as reported here). Logged in 1 hour after weekly reset, and goth Iokath and CZ198 objectives. Doing Cz198 missions didn't count. When I rerolled Iokath, I got Black Hole instead - that one worked. I only got the wrong objectives on the first day. (Doing GS on two servers)
  16. What theory? That on a list with 20 pages for an event that lasts about 20 weeks, each page corresponds roughly to one week? What I meant was, that when you finished page 6 by now, you're right on track, and don't need to worry about having to buy any levels, even when the credits catch-up eventually becomes available to you.
  17. Either a boosted level 60 that plays all the way to chapter 9, or a boosted level 70 that has completed the Knights stories, but still has to do the "Find a Findsman" alliance alert before Arma rasa becomes available. In either case, the token won't be refunded when you delete the character, so make it count (A good opportunity to quickly get a char fit to do galactic seasons on a new server, maybe?)
  18. The pack from the Cartel Market contains unlocks for two former subscriber rewards: 1. The HK 55 Companion ("Arma Rasa" alliance alert) which was given to players who were subscribers on January 11, 2016. https://www.swtor.com/fallen-empire/rewards 2. Tthe "Shroud of Memory" chapter where you play as HK 55 and can unlock ZOOM. This chapter was previously given to players who were continuously subscribed from January to August 2016. As for checking whether you got it, when you don't have a character past Kotfe chapter 9, you could search your mailbox for a mail titled "Your HK-55 Companion Reward" (just telling you that it's unlocked). On a char you played back then, it would be from 1942 days ago. You should also have a character boost token that you can use to create a level 70, but you'd have to finish the "Find a Findsman" alert before you can do "Arma Rasa" and by earning any experience you can't get a refund for the token.
  19. Prety simple, this is the 6th of the 20 weeks of the season, so we should be on page 6 of 20 in the UI. I'd wait with unlocking anything until the end of August. By then up to level 95 is available to be unlocked with credits, and at least the first 4 or 5 credits unlocks are a better deal than using CC. And don't forget the other servers: log in 4 times a week for 8 weeks, and you get 2 tokens you can spend on other stuff from the vendor (which then can be unlocked in collections for 10cc)
  20. Well, I paid for 180 days in one money transfer and still get only 600cc every 30 days instead of 3600 immediately. Don't think it's unfair, they treat it as a complimentary bonus, but even when we look at it as part of your subscription benefits, we subscribed for x months and each month we get the 500-600 CC we're entitled to. There's even a benefit to this, when you change your subscription mode, all pending CC payments will be upgraded to the higher value (i.e. when you subscribe for 90 or 180 days now, your remaining 525cc will change to 550 or 600). Anyway, while we might disagree whether it's fair or not, it's definitely not a bug.
  21. Have you tried to reinstall the graphic card driver (directly from AMD or Nvidia)? Swtor's graphic settings might also be incompatible with your monitor. Is the resolution correct? Have you tried a lower frame rate? You could also try switching from Fullscreen to Fullscreen (Windowed) or vice versa. If neither helps, it might be a hardware issue, (but that should affect more than just Swtor) could be something as simple as a loose connector or bad cable (some pets love chewing on cables). Could be a broken wire on a notebook, could also mean the graphics card is on its last legs.
  22. Some personnel decorations (Embracing Wookie, Life Day Reveler) seem to ignore the hook's rotation setting when they're loaded. They always stand at 0 degrees unless you just rotated them. (e.g. you place them and turn them to 90°, and everything seems fine, but when you leave the stronghold or move away far enough so they're reloaded when you come back, they will stand at 0° rotation, despite the hook setting still being at 90°).
  23. The level to which you can catch up to with credits increases each day. At the moment you can get up to level 8 this way. If you are level 10 currently, you need to wait 3 more days to be able to buy level 11 with credits. Also, while the CC cost always stays at 100cc per unlock, the credits cost increases geometrically, so each further unlock will be considerably more expensive than the previous one. That said, when you reach at least level 30 by Tuesday, you don't need to put any more effort in GS than you currently do, anything more will just earn you your rewards faster.
  24. Judging from your account number, you were around during the cartel market sales in 2013 or 2014, where every hour another item got a massive discount that led to odd prices. My account is at +2 CC since then, and yeah, unless they add something for 1 or 2 CC I guess we have to live with it
  25. 6.2.1 finally fixed the stronghold title not fading out properly when entering the stronghold. But in 6.3 the title popup now shows up every time we close the hook editor or open and close the galaxy map. And in that case the 6.2.1 fix doesn't apply, and it's almost guaranteed that the nameplate will be stuck on our screen, because we concentrate on the decoration we just placed and forget to use the established workaround of immediately starting to run in circles as soon as the popup appears. Please fix that ASAP. We waited 7 years for the stronghold title to fade out properly, and just a bit over 7 weeks after the fix you made it worse than ever. Make the popup always fade out like it does when entering the stronghold, or even better change it back to appear only once, not every time we close the hook editor. The same applies to the Conquest-Winner banner. It also gets easily stuck again when it appears after heroic transport. In the long run please consider changing those banners to windows similar to the conquest objective or dark vs. light popups, that fade out properly on a timer regardless of player movement, and have a button to close them immediately. Even better: Add a setting to allow us to disable all those annoying popups.
