  1. This also applies to NPCs of course. I gave it to Kaliyo on my operative to circumvent the annoying fact that the "hide head slot" and "unify colors" settings are ignored in cutscenes / conversations with out-of-party companions (usually on the ship). It looked nice in the preview and is the only "heavy armor" headband I found that can be used by imps and companions, but of course companions tend to turn their heads... A lot.
  2. "Tauntaun voices no longer carry such that their volume is the same regardless of their distance." Seems to me that this fix needs to be applied to the Varactyls as well. I shouldn't hear the howling when someone mounts his lizard on the other side of the fleet.
  3. Immersion? Credit-Sellers and jesters in the chat, ninja-inviters, players running around in their undies on Hoth, Tauntauns babbling happily on Tattoine Sith and Jedi having a party in the Nar Shadda canitina, since when are MMOs immersive?
  4. IMO adding day and night is pointless when the NPCs and creatures don't care about it. For me, NPCs standing around at midnight just where I met them at noon breaks the suspense of disbelief more than having no times of day at all. On the other hand, aside from some sneaky city adventures and special ops, night is usually just the boring time where you have to wait until vendors and questgivers get up, in most game that feature it you have option to skip to the morning. Hunting after NPCs that stroll around town during the day is not nearly as much fun as it sounds, Oblivion proved that, as did Ultima6 15 years earlier. So times of day with npc-schedules can add a lot of atmosphere but is rarely done right, for an MMO there are additional issues, even without taking group dynamics into account, there is no safe / reload so you might quit the game during the night, and return from work to start playing just to find out that it's currently night on the server / planet and you have to sit idle for an hour or two.

    Inquisitor

Yes, Ashara is the male inquisitor's love interest. And other classes also have non-human romances (Vette, Aric Jorgan, Kaliyo)
  6. Well, they could hire the voice actors for the Bounty Hunter event, so why shouldn't they be able to do so for stuff we would actually pay for?
  7. People are complaining that Tauntauns sound like Tauntauns with megaphones, so that everyone in the vicinity can "enjoy" the sound in full volume just as well as the rider. It also intrudes conversation instances - all other sounds fade out, but the bypassing Tauntaun's "yabbel yabbel yabbel" persists.
  8. The Kingpin bounty is a bonus you can go on a second hunt this day, and thus gain almost double reputation. Big deal if you already hunted down 7 henchmen with your alts. Also the Kingpin isn't really hard, my level 21 operative did the Hutta Kingpin yesterday. Yes, it was a tough fight, but no reason to call it a group mission. Maybe it gets harder to solo at higher levels? Well, a dd with dd companion might get in trouble but tank+heal or tank+dd should be fine.
  9. I think it's a bad idea to have the event on hutta and ord mantel. Especially on Hutta the first thing new players will see is a huge bunch of randomly leveled guys standing in the cantina occassionally fighting mobs of seemingly random levels. Is this really the first impression a new user should get?
  10. Like the title says, the cartel bazar would be a great place to stay for our seedier characters, if only we had access to the cargo bay. Also, a working (i.e. rest-xp and companion-talk) cantina-area would be nice.
  11. it's okay that some items are only available on one side, but one shouldn't be able to buy an imp-only leather jacket as a rep just to have it turn into a flak vest when one sends it to an imp char. It's just causing confusion. The Hardweave Jacket should look like a flak vest for everyone, regardless of faction. The only reason I see for the changing item-look is to keep rep players from complaining that they can't use that nice flak vest. Apparently they didn't expect players to share stuff across factions.
  12. Okay, that explains it, still a bit silly that there are two identically looking items that differ only in class/side restriction and then change the look of both of them dependent on your side. Guess I have to get over it and have look for another outfit then
  13. Hm... Is it possible that the item got changed when mailing it? The schematic (item) still shows the original jacket, I sent the armor from my trooper to my marauder who wrapped up all the gear my chars collected during their travels to send it to my newly created agent. I didn't notice the "new" look until the item already was in the marauder's inventory. I guess I could send the agent the schematic, let her craft the outfit and then swap armormech for cybertech.
  14. A couple of days ago (i.e. before 2.3) the Hardweave Jacket and its republic pendant were reddish brown leather jackets, now they are greenish body armor. Looking at darthhater, the "new" look seems to be an older / original version of the armor. So... what happened to the jacket? Is it still in game under another name, and if not, will it return anytime soon?.
  15. I tried jumping after the following actions: Login Weapon drawn and sheathed Rocket boost Mount Rocket boost used with drawn weapon Mount used with drawn weapon No issues with: human vanguard female2 mirialan consular female2 sith sorcerer female2 human assassin male2 rattataki mercenary male3 zabrak marauder male3 all chars using their intended weapons.
  16. Still not fixed in 2.2.3. Are you aware of this bug, Bioware? It ought to be a matter of minutes to fix this for anyone who can access the textures and has some basic photoshop experience.
  17. Mounts and rocket boost worked fine when they were finally fixed, but since today's patch rocket boost is silent again, it's different than the old bug, though: the "igniting-sound" plays fine, and travels with you when you move, but then there is no "booster-sound" neither on the char nor on the place where you started.
  18. He is a Weequay and in order to give the Trooper Weequay companion a new skin / bump map, every other Weequay in the galaxy lost his skin in 2.2.2. Is this still not fixed? Seems to me like a simple matter of a missing normal map or a texture without alpha channel or something like that. Edit: Confirmed. Headless Weequay are still not fixed in 2.2.3
  19. Currently Tanno Vik is the only Weequay in the galaxy who hasn't turned invisible, he even got a new skin / bump map like most other alien companions. Don't think that's a coincidence...
  20. I can't find this but on the known/recognized issues list, so I'll post this (no doubt for the umpteenth time) Ever since 2.2 when you change instances or use a shuttle to the fleet (including fleet pass, but not quicktravel) the nameplates lose their functionality; if you don't have them set to "show always" you won't see them at all when targeting players (including yourself), worse when "show always" is activated, they are frozen and apparently the players never loose any health. That's a serious issue for most healers, and much more importantly its now a CARTEL MARKET ISSUE, since we can't see the "Revan's Heir" title when this happens.
  21. Same for Harrum in the Republic Nar Shadaa Bonus series or Burnout in "Republic's most Wanted" on Coruscant It's one specific alien race, those guys: http://tor.zamimg.com/torhead/uploads/screenshots/15066.jpg Seems to me like they got a new skin but the textures have a messed up alpha channel (or a missing one?) making them transparent.
  22. At least the alpha setting works fine, that was the main issue for me as I have the chat alpha set to 0 so that I see only text unless I'm hovering over the chat box with the mouse. This is fixed for me, and also no persistent chat box that keeps poping up even in cutscenes without anyone actually writing something in the chat. And yes, the text also fades when there is no activity, not sure if the delay is longer than before.
  23. It's not about the bug per se, its effect ranges from almost unnoticable on a single lightsaber wielder to amusing on a character wearing a minigun or a double-LS. This showcases a general QA problem with the patches, though: We got a mini-patch, that fixed a serious oversight with a cartel-market feature that was added 6 patches earlier, as well as two issues created by the previous patch. Of those three fixes at least one doesn't work properly and obviously wasn't tested by someone actually playing the game. At least I haven't noticed any *new* bugs this time, so that's a start.
  24. When I log in with a character then jumping works as it did before 2.2.2, so far so good; but when I use a mount (or just activate rocket boost) then my character will again use the weapon's jumping animation even if it isn't drawn.
