  1. They're just pictures that identify. K? Obviously those two symbols don't look like anything. The weirdest one fo sho scoundrel. An aardvark? FO SHO!
  2. I hate to break it to you, but talent trees are dead, we now have disciplines. Carry on.
  3. FTLOG. Nobody is forcing you to play this game. If you really don't like the way they make the burgers here, eat elsewhere.
  4. I think what some of you guys are missing is that anybody queuing ranked without an advanced class is purposely trolling and can do so just as easily with an advanced class. Show up naked, sit in a corner or just flat leaving the match after saying "eph yew tr-ols dnt deesirv meh on yewr teem. I wnt rward tr-ols"... Ad infinitum. So requiring an advanced class is kind of a moot point anyway. 2018 expertise would be a nice gate as I think many well-intentioned players enter not knowing this is ideal to have. But nothing can stop a true troll from trolling.
  5. for infiltration in PvP you will want some accuracy. I currently run 94.5%. this is because 3 of your key attacks are white damage. Roughly your damage is 50% force/50% melee. Compared to serenity which is roughly 75% force/25% melee. unless you have an overall accuracy debuff on you (affecting force and melee) like a snipers diversion (I think), your force attacks will never miss. You also have to look at what stats are competing when prioritizing. Surge/accuracy/alacrity are competing stats. For infiltration, you don't want any alacrity as you have nothing to channel and no dots for speed of ticks. You do want surge as you are a burst spec and get a high crit chance when force po is up and benefit greatly when you otherwise naturally crit. Surge returns diminish greatly around 73-74%. So acurracy is what's left and three accuracy pieces should put you above 94%, with the rest in surge and 0 alacrity it should put your surge at 74%. For serenity you will want to trade that accuracy and even a bit of surge for alacrity as most of your damage is force and you want those dots to tick faster getting more damage out in a shorter period. The other two competing stats (dps wise) are power/crit. There is a ton of debate over 0 crit all power vs high crit builds. I personally find a bit of crit to be helpful making you less susceptible to RNG in sustained fights outside of your burst windows The diminishing returns on crit start getting heavyish around 23% but aren't that bad, so I try to get my crit there. The plus with power is that your base damage will be higher and when you don't crit your damage with be higher. And when you do crit it will also be higher as your surge is multiplying off your base damage values. However you will crit less often the less crit you have. Hope this helps
  6. I posted this in another thread already and I'm reposting it here as it's on topic and cuz attention-whore People need to do their research and know what they're looking at. Last night I was accused four or five times of using the low slash bug, when I hadn't taken the martial prowess utility needed to make the bug happen. Really that utility is useless compared to other utilities in the heroic tier, unless you are trying to exploit the bug. I also found that for the most part I'm still using low slash at 4 meters as part of my shutdown melee rotation, and only go outside of 4 meters with it situationally. its not like shadows and assassins can benefit from just spamming low slash at 30 meters. You still have to get up close and personal to get your damage out. And outside of burst windows that damage is pretty meh. That is all.

  8. Shroud does not resist damage from any of the traps. You can force speed through fire and you will take two ticks, 24k damage. Force speed through toxic sludge in quesh will kill you every time. Deflection CC immunity is just that. It only works against cc, not knockbacks roots or Pulls.

  10. good question. It's: Time To Kill. in other words how long it takes to kill another player.
  11. I'll tell you what errgs me just a little more than force storm spamming. 10 seconds of Sonic the Vanguard every 30 seconds that can't be rooted, kited, etc... But yeah fs should have been addressed when examining balance changes for sorcs. I mean, literally every sorc spec is spamming that shiezzer. Inb4 "only bads spam it" while that's true its still incredibly effective while only pressing one button repeatedly, the whole match.
  12. 1. Awesome 2. Nice vid 3. Kudos to LD, Gil and Stalker for initiating this 4. What are the dates and times? I guess I'll have to bring Shade-starr instead of Nade-starr
  13. yes, but the problem is you're taking bigger hits with a larger health pool but your incoming heals are the same. Thus you are much harder to heal and die faster under focus.
  14. Bumping for attention. And also: I'm looking to put together a team either imp or pub side. The team will be called Antifotm. The purpose of the team is to hopefull hard counter double hatred/serenity. This will be a hard-switch team. The team will consist of : Tank: myself on my shadow/sin Roles needed: Dps1: concealment/scrapper Dps2: either a marksman/sharpshooter or lightning/telekinetics Heals: sawbones/medicine Double MM/SS is also a possibility. If you have any composition ideas given the purpose and parameters of this team, I would love to hear them Let me know if you think you can fill a spot, here or in game. I'm usually on from 9pm-2am eastern time and all day weekends. PEACE!
  15. Its just poor design, braindead, retard PvP. I grouped with a really bad known sorc on my server as a tank and told him to just use force storm, no other abilities, while I specifically peeled for him. He pulled 2.2 mil in acw, by pressing ONE BUTTON the whole match. Bioware needs to help these baddie sorcs by giving FS a 9s cooldown which would force them to press other buttons and learn their rotations/other options.
  16. I too have noticed force management issues on my shadow tank since 3.1. Haven't checked logs yet but I'm sure it's the same thing.
  17. Those same moves (internal/elemental damage) also ignore armor rating. Shadow/assassin tanks have the highest damage reduction for internal/elemental damage, a flat 10% just for assuming tank stance. They also have the best cool down against I/E dot damage with shroud/resilience and should definitely take the shroud of madness utility. they are a bit more susceptible to high crit window and auto crit burst, but you win some, you lose some. Just know when they're coming and pop your cooldowns accordingly. TL:dr KC/Darkness is fine, don't need an armor rating increase.
  18. No lets derail this into something that people actually care about. Nobody should be able to put up 2m+ pressing a single button the whole match (yes this has been tested). Bio has truely created brain dead PvP.
  19. I vote that a cool down on force storm is much much much more necessary!
  20. /signed. I started playing after this was taken out and would love to see it!
  21. IMO the spread is fine and about matches the power of AOE heals in the current meta. The problem is too much burst in a high sustained dmg SPEC. The assasinate proc needs to go. They have enough burst in leeching strike and deathfield (plus they healz yo). They should have ONE assasinate on CD at 30% hp. Currently, below 30%, hatred has 4 burst abilities in rotation: assasinate, assasinate with proc, deathfield and leeching strike. Not to mention demo is pretty bursty in its own right and if you time your procs right you can get both demo and CrD ticking on the same tgt simultaneously. Hatred is supposed to be a melee sustained dmg pressure spec. Currently its an everthing spec: sustained, burst, AOE and range. It so fraking lol that I won't play it. I'm not a bandwagoner. Deception is fine but needs a few qol improvements I definitely don't want to see it buffed to the levels of hatred and lolAP. Those specs need nurfing. I would be happy with 20-30m range on force slow, not having to spend a utility point for fade (which is a core part of deceptions force regen and burst reset) and not having a base armor rating lower than a sorc as 4-10m melee. Changes like these should be placed in the deception discipline and not accessible to the other two specs as they are fine or better than, atm. Off topic: People also wine about sorcs as the "3rd OP class" and while I do not play one, I think they are fine. A little brain dead with the skill storm spam. Which could be fixed by giving it a 10s CD or heavy force cost making it too hard on resources to spam. /my2creds
