  1. I'm talking about dps commandos. The whole class gets bacta infusion and medical probe. I was meaning moderate in a sense related to balance of the class; not balanced within some preconceived tier list.
  2. I dont mind pt or sin dps in tank stance. juggs however, are a little problematic. A simple solution would be to have the tank stances require x amount of defense/absorb/shield.
  3. In 4's mercs are very good because they synergize well with most compositions and with a competent team can survive a hard swap with ease. Solo ranked is always more fun because you play a different game. If there isnt a healer or a sniper/gunslinger on your team, and EVEN if there is, you will always be focused. Gunslinger with 62k HP in PVE gear and you're a commando in full 208 with augs; you will still get focused. Like I said, this changes the game from just being able to free cast (which is always preferable) to kiting and surviving while dpsing. Guy who said commando off heals were bad is smoking crack. I can INSTANT heal for 15-20k with bacta infusion and medical probe. Merc's have only been getting slightly buffed since 3.0 (for good reason). They are almost at a moderate level. Everything would be perfect if they didnt give all the other classes gap closers while FINALLY giving us an escape and a pretty crap one imo. The new smoke screen passive is the epitome of useless when you give every other class a non targeted dash.
  4. I've read every post in this thread and this is the only one that sheds any true reason. This is a small fix that needs to happen. Make carbonize behave like awe.
  5. I've just returned to this game since the Yavin/Rishi Expac. When I saw they gave the commando a genuine escape I was thrilled to say the least. Then I started leveling my other classes and noticed that the classes commando's have most problems with have all been compensated with countering dashes. Juggernauts, Assassins, Operatives and PT's have all been givin gap closers. The commando was the ONLY one of the above classes that needed an escape, but seems completely negated by the fact every other class got a SECOND means of gap closing. So did this skill make any difference for mercs/mandos?
  6. i think its you who needs to l2p. kolto overload (soon to be 40%). 25% dmg reduction for 15 seconds. sonic missle for 30% defense and another 35% heal from shoulder cannon. Combine that with HO and a medpack + adrenal and your class can survive. Or are you one of those bad pt's that HO into a group of 4 and try to unload everything and just get squished and then cry on the forums?
  7. lol @ people complaining about the 1.5 ICD because why should our class respect the GCD? Strongest burst in the entire game (thermal detonator + cellburst crit) = easily 20k. combine this with battle focus and shoulder cannon and this class still does retarded burst. Force speed is on a 20second cooldown and it only lasts a few seconds. Hold the line lasts 10 seconds and has a 15second cooldown. Increase HTL cooldown to minimum 20 seconds and reduce thermal det dmg and this class will still be in a good place.
  8. great now a 3 second channel instead of 6. now they can spam it even more in reg matches. the dmg nerf was warranted, but it could of kept the snare. is this a nerf? because unless the damage was reduced by over 50% you can cast 2 forcestorms in the same window at the same cost. Fixed a bug that caused Convection to prevent interrupts from Mind Snap and Force Kick. oh look a major bug not fixed until 4 months later. takes them 1/3rd of a year to fix such a simple bug.
  9. one thing i do agree on is that they make you spend 2 utility points to make leg slash viable. really? you couldn't just make it 1 utility point to root and make it 10m? Really poor update. Undying rage is in an ok spot. They just need to make the utility take 60seconds off instead of 30. 30sec off 3 min isnt worth ****.
  10. means (time to kill) amount of time required to kill somebody 100%hp to 0%.
  11. can we get another patch for the slot machine? really it only dispenses rep items for contraband resale and ive been maxed. I had around 6-7 stacks of 99coins saved up. Went through 2-3 stacks and i got all rep items and 1 COUNT THEM 1 GREEN SCRAP. Please fix this monstrosity. *********** whiners killed the thing.

  13. I don't want to make this a long post, but do you think with 42k~ HP people should be hitting for 10-16K hits or roughly over 1/4th of full expertise HP? I'm not a healer, but I can feel for them. BW said when 3.0 launched we would lower our damage to what it was at 55? What ever happened to that because if anything DPS seems way stronger then what it was while heals feel somewhat the same.
  14. if you're going to skank tank (dps spec in tank gear) then you must use ion cell and guard to be effective. however, you will hamper yourself if you get into a solo match that already has a tank. just something to take into consideration.
  15. good/funny video, i agree with most except that 30% dot utility is super useful ya bastard. especially in regs where you can have a **** load of dots on you and the cleanse helps reduce the increased damage you take. I usually take that instead of jet boosters, but sometimes ill take electro shield or whatever its called that zaps people when you have your shield up.
