  1. the damage tanks are dealing is ridiculous, there is no point in being dps anymore basically, imagine two cannons, both are same size and deal same damage, but one is made of glass, and the other of steel...
  2. well, i dont play healer at all, but jumping helps with my leap sometimes, really, if cant reach a target because of a small wall or such, just jump and leap mid air, it works, as the game literally makes the toon see beyond the wall.
  3. we need the damage from blade dance back, when it was master strike.
  4. Really? But in the description it says that the boost is used by the next focus consuming ability, and the dots a secondary effect, it is a bug?
  5. the issues for merc or operative are not THAT bad, maybe just the stealth and rolls from OP, but merc i think is fine, but when it comes to sorcs that theres the problems, they could stop healing while moving, take out phase walk from them, make the "can't touch this" bubble castable or have a lesser duration time. If this really comes true, and BW devs nerf the healers i'm sure the next target will be the skanks, as they already are overperforming. And BW should fix the problem of people screwing the matchmaking in arenas, like for example, if you queued as dps you cant switch stances, or if you can switch but is listed as DPS but is a tank that confused the system, you have to play as if you were dps, by not being alowed to guard anyone.
  6. Just out of curiosity, i know that there are some guides and such, but to follow them in every way is kinda boring and doesnt add that personal touch to the toon. I use these: Skillful tier - Debilitation/Overwhelm, --> Must have in my opinion, this spec uses quite often Blade dance/ Ravage. - Battlefield Command/Warmonger, --> Execelent to close gaps more often, high mobility in pvp is essencial. - Focused Freedom/Unshackling Rage --> Root Break and free focus/rage. Masterful Tier - Gather Strength/Pooled Hatred --> Extremely useful against almost every class, more damage is always nice. :3 - Purifying Sweep/Crushing Fist --> 20% armor decrease in our nice aoe, if dots are set and enemies together even better. Heroic Tier - Daunting Presence/Intimidating Presence --> Good to use if being focused by too many ranged classes, and put some pressure on noob sorcs (seriously, the people new to the class panic when activate reflect). - True Harmony/Through Power. --> Awesome to use if carrying the huttball. Let's see what you guys and girls use.
  7. To me a premade is simply a group in a warzone that knows each other, and what to do, not random people that never met before. Think of it as a sports team, like football, if the team already knows each other, play together all the time, they will know they're own limits and potencial, or objectives, while a team that never met before will have to adapt on the move, sometimes it works, but mostly don't.
  8. match making may be broken, but class unbalance contributes way more for the mass quits from the game we have now.
  9. in a situation on melee vs melee it really does help to keep going back and forth, specially back, of the opponent, if using a class like operative or assassin, that benifits from it, and the range of melee skills is short, so if you get far enough from the opponent or behind him/her they can't activate skills because of the "facing target" mechanic, for ranged it's kinda useless i think, maybe just for defense, in a situation, like getting behind an object to not get targeted, etc.
  10. i always try to use focus every couple of weeks, but vigilance calls me back, it just dont work for me... but the occasional 20k+ crit is beautiful. xD
  11. most problems comes from people being heros, or not focusing the healers, worst, going for the tanks, you NEVER gonna win a 2 v 1 or 3 v 1, only if you are a god in FOTM and the enemies are sloths playing. And there is the issue of dps tanks, overperforming and getting better dps than the actual dps classes. i'm begging to notice that heals is not THAT MUCH OP in pvp, but tanks are insane right now, just saying.
  12. i think that premades are not bad, even better, should be encouraged, but the problem is the exploit on broken classes, 2 tanks + 2 (guarded)healers + 4 dps, basically no one dies, dps gets over 1.5 mil damage easy without a single kill, that takes a little of the fun away, also the issue that tanks in dps gear get more damage than dps classes because they can last longer and such. If the heals could be fixed in some way, things would be more interesting. Don't know, maybe as i said in another thread, if taunt made the target only use offesive moves, or even the "heal nerfing" skills were a little better, etc.
  13. worse is 4 sorcs healers crosshealing each other, 0 kills, 0 deaths, 0 objectives, just people bored of predictible pvp.
  14. can someone post the % of stats, like, alacrity, accuracy, crit and crit multi? I try using this spec, and testing on dummy/unranked, and it always gets worst dps than my guardian, but as a pure dps class i should be doing more.
  15. its quite simple if you know your toon/class and the mechanics, i think i only died in heroic SF alone once because of a movement inverse bug, that made me fell to my doom.
  16. hate it with all my strenght, but it could get interesting if the ball carrier could not attack or use speed skills, like rolls, force speed, etc, it can use defensive skills however, so he/she doesnt get stun combo'd. I would also suggest alongside these, a new mechanic for team mates of a player holding the ball, the "take huttball" temporary skill, would work in a 4m radius around the carrier and could be used to take it from the carrier if he/she is low on health or stunned.
  17. some topics that i learned improved my gameplay drastically: 1 - Change the default "a" and "d" movement with the "q" and "e", making the movement still be wasd, but the difference is that you will move sideways instead of slowly rotating, and of course turn the camera with the mouse(right clicking and moving it). 2 - Binding the skills, specially if you have an mmo gaming mouse, i noticed an 180º improvement after acquiring a razer naga. With a week or two to get used to the feel of it, and you never will want anything else. 3 - Don't stand still, when attacking someone, or even if defending a node, or in stealth, dont stand still in one place, keep moving, only stay put if you are channeling something, just move/cancel the channel when you are low on health and notice the AOE of an enemy skill. 4 - Dont be the hero, never engage the entire enemy team alone, you WILL go down fast, like a bug, try to make it an even match always 4v4, 3v3, 1v1(except when defending, enemy usually dont come alone, theres always that annoying stealth'd toon behind you capping the node while you are busy with his/her partner).
  18. i love the pvp in this game, that are just a few issues that makes it less enjoyable, like OP(overpowered) classes, stun/root/mezz based meta, super heals, premades x pve geared begginers, the hero engine lag, etc. I like using almost every jedi/sith class, and operative, and in time you notice the difference in their performance. In most cases i can say its a L2P issue, but most of the time you just cant win a 1v1 using certain classes, because they are insanely overpowered.
  19. assuming you have the 101% basic, use the new accuracy stim and one accuracy augment, that will get you 105.22% by doing this you can focus on alacrity/crit/power/etc on enhancements and the other augs.
  20. i use on a laptop, some medium specs, have 45 usually when on fleet and doing nothing, lowest graphics for warzone everytime. Inter i7 4500U, 1.80GHz/2.40GHz 8GB RAM (don't know the frequency) 1TB HD AMD Radeon HD 8670M 2GB 127~140ms in a good day (Live in Rio de janeiro/Brazil) And with these specs the lowest i got was 7FPS in a voidstar that had 4 sorcs casting lightning storm in the screen.
  21. with this new accuracy stim, what i use on my guardian is: - ALL enhancements CRIT - Ear/implants crit - Alacrity augments until i reach 7.19% alacrity - 1 Accuracy aug - 2 Mastery augs - Rest Crit augs This way i get 105.22% acc, 7.19% alacrity, ALMOST 40% crit chance, and if not mistaken like 70%+ crit multi. I tested A LOT of combinations, and for me this is what resulted in the most DPS/APM when testing on warzone dummy, even on an actual WZ this is working wonders. In the end it's mostly personnal preference, use what you feel is good with your playstyle.
  22. with my guardian, full 208, and NO accuracy enhancements the stim + an augment gives me 105.22% acc, with no enh. it leaves room for more crit ones, i actually found some nice improvement in my dps with this stim, it just sucks that for the time being i have to switch to the mastery/power stim for pve, otherwise i get 112% almost 113% acc.
  23. some changes i've been thinking lately that would greatly affect the game, and so pvp: 1 - A class that has a healing spec can only cast heals if using that spec, because just by choosing the AC you get some basic heals, even if using dps spec. Almost the same that happens with tanks, that need a specific stance/charge to use "guard". 2 - Tanks should lose some damage, seriously, its ridiculous right now, but their hits would generate more threat to not affect boss fights in pve. 3 - When someone is taunted they should only be able to attack for the time they are affected, or even the taunted target has increased attack and lowered defence for the duration, like some other games happens. 4 - Adjust the cooldown on some CCs/Mezzes, like increase time to use again, or add a cooldown for both cases, like if you stuned someone and want to mezze another one you must wait some time. I thought of these for a couple days, hardly think a lot of people will agree, but it's what i see in pvp in general right now that could bring some balance up.
