  1. If you're wanting to "git gud" I would suggest learning your class a little better. Anyone can push buttons and do damage, but you should also look at how you're using your DCD's. As someone who mains Guardian, I can say that using Enure and focused defense together is a waste (which I see a lot of juggs/guardians do). Instead I use Enure and then a medpack.
  2. I agree With this. 99.9% Of the time its people knowing how to pull off procs correctly. I once went against a gunnery commando who hit me for 31k and I'm fully geared. I talked to him and asked how he managed that. Following his stats and rotation, I was able to pull it off. Not to mention the person who I quoted parses way higher then I do with the same stats and classes, but once I ask him what he's doing differently than me, I pull the same numbers than him. Also, learning how to use your cooldowns the right way, you may not get owned as hard as you once did. So I don't think people hack, I think they just know their class a little better than most people.
  3. Well, I'm on the 3rd most populated server up, It might be a PvE RP server, but people come over here to farm regs.
  4. PvP has been rapidly decreasing on most servers. I'm sure there are many reasons as to why and I know that most of them are not possible to fix. The one I want to focus on is ranked players grouping up for 65 regs, and triple capping in Civil war and the coast, double capping the whole match in hypergate, and tunneling players in huttbal by spawn camping. I'm not saying that ranked players need to stop queuing for regs, but they should at least go about winning in a much better way for the PvP community. First lets talk about triple capping in Civil war and the coast. We all know it only takes 2 caps to win these matches and capping three makes the match end faster and everyone gets their comms and moves on. This is not really that bad of thing for most people until it happens every match. At that point, it becomes a danger to the PvP community. People don't want to queue anymore for the fear of being stomped over and over again and the queues pop less and less. This is not good for the players who are just getting into PvP and are just learning how to play these warzones. I'm not saying that triple capping in these warzones needs to stop completely, but the way people go about it, most certainly can. My Idea here is that if you decide that you want to triple cap inside of either of these warzones, cap all three, and forget about one node until the other team caps it back, then go and fight them for it, forgetting another node and capping the one they just capped back. Let them lose with some pride. I know that they need to learn how to get better, but beating them by triple capping over and over again isn't going to help PvP at all. Double capping in Hypergate is a very effective way to win fast, but you should only have to double cap once, then cap and defend the res of the match. I can't count how many hypergates I've been in where people have rage quit due to this and don't queue up again. Now in huttball there is no need to spawn camp people for kills. just run the ball and move on. I hear these ranked players complain about why PvP doesn't pop as often and why the queue died. Here is my response, "If you weren't such a **** of person, and had some respect for the PvP community, you'd still have pops." You can't expect people to get better if they get farmed in every match you and your team enter. If you have enough memebers/friends only to make a full ops group, go do ranked.
  5. I watch the stacks and as long as one person kills pylons, its all good but once 2 or more people kill them, the stacks don't drop.
  6. Don't know if there has been a post about this yet, but SOA has to be the most bugged boss I have ever faced. Regardless if its HM or SM, something always happens to him that causes a wipe. Lets start with the pylons between the first and second phase. If you kill too many, or have more then one person killing them, he doesn't lose his stacks and the moment you get down to him, its almost nearly a wipe if you don't blow cooldowns, and once you do blow cooldowns the second attack will. Same with pylons between second and third phase. This isn't much of a problem with SM as it is with HM. Set the mode to 8 player hard, he had 16 man mode mechanics and HP. Next is mind traps. Last week, we lost a dps to a lighting ball, so instead of combat rez, we had our sin stealth rez him. As soon as he stealthed, he was sucked into a mind trap, and then was transported to the start of the OP. Even had one time where had both healers sucked into one at the same time. Also, gharj even has some bugs that cause wipes. During a raid, we were taking raid wide dmg from nothing. No slams, no pounces, nothing. More then 3 times, he's bugged so that when the next platform appears, the first one doesn't disappear. (Not that its bad, but its still a bug) At this point I wonder if its the whole OP that's bugged. Has anyone else noticed this happening to them?
  7. 4-8 man premades are not a bad thing. If the game allows premades to happen, then there is nothing wrong with it. IMO, those of you who hate premades so much, must have really bad social skills. Its not hard to get 3 more people who love to PvP to group with you and queue. It is a part of the game. Also, has anyone noticed how when you do group queue, the PvP icon doesn't light up, and you can't leave queue to requeue? This is even happening in ranked matches.
  8. Arsenal merc is not overpowered. Between IO and Arsenal, IO is the better dps but really poor heat management. Arsenal is only OP if you let it be. Against a Jugg, they fall so fast. If you really want to play IO in PvP, you'll need to sacrifice crit rating for alacrity to balance the heat gen where as Arsenal you can lose alacrity and stack crit. Getting a 24k HSM is rare, but can be pulled off as well as a 17k rail shot. If you know how to use your skill procs, its easy. I main an Arsenal merc. I also play all 3 classes on it and can say that I feel strong enough as arsenal to deal out dmg, but if I get more then 3 people on me, it becomes much harder to handle. IO is harder to handle with all that heat, but in PvP can really deal out dmg once your dots are spread and your heat is low enough again to spread them.
  9. I do apologize for that. Must have hit the "0" instead of the "9" key. But yeah, expertise really makes the difference in 65's. midbies and lowbies, its not a good thing.
  10. Because thats my point. I know I can't make people see premades as a good thing, because they have most likely never been apart of one, and people always get bent out of shape when they go against one and lose. So yeah, suck it up and deal with it.
  11. If you're talking about 65 PvP, then yes. It makes all the difference. If you have no PvP gear and go up against someone who has 208 PvP gear and its augmented with 208 augments, you will be taking close to around 20k normal hits. Its best to get a toon to lvl 10. Get moddable gear and mod it. do your first PvP daily, which would be introduction to warzones, get your free earpiece, implants and relics, then PvP until lvl 41, transfer the warzone commendations to your lvl 65, and buy normal 204 gear and then PvP in 65's until you can buy 208 gear and augment it.
  12. I will say this again. PvP is and always be unfair, regardless if theres a premade involved. There is always someone who knows their class better then you know yours. You say they need to equalize the number of heals and tanks? I don't think so. Then people might as well just queue up for ranked matches. (Which are only 4v4) I do get a little bored of 4v4's where the only way to win is outlast the other team. giving both teams 2 healers, 2 tanks, and 4 dps in any match would be stupid. Lets use civil war with that set-up. Each side gets a cap, then spends 20 minutes fighting over mid. There would be no clear winner. Unless of course that one side was a premade who was using something like teamspeak.
  13. PvP is a TEAM effort. I don't know where you PvP at, but you must be doing something wrong if think you don't need any kind of help to win.
  14. I agree with you. People will always complain when they lose, but thats part of PvP. To those of you who just love to complain about premades, I urge you to stop and join a premade yourself. Joining a premade would make all your problems disappear.
  15. Why can't people understand that to kill a healer that is guarded, all you have to do is keep the tank more than 15 meters away from the healer?
