  1. We want to kill other players. PVP. Not play the who-spam-caps-first game. This fundamentally changes the meta game from which side defeats the other, to who has the most grabby hands on an objective. Not who is fighting better or who has the sneakier stealth thief. As we've already discussed at length, stalemates aren't caused by AOE stopping caps. There's the problem of the tank healers combo (1+1=4), cross healing, short exit timers from the re spawn penalty box, spammable AOE with low damage, healers that can heal without any resource management to speak of, too many stuns, roots, CC. Why pick this one thing to "band-aid"? It's the wrong fix for the problem, done by idiot designers that don't have a clue.
  2. It's a challenge yes, but is it a fun one? No. Everyone knows guarding is the most tear jerking boring thing in the game. Now you need more people to do it constantly in order to hold an objective. Genius. Pure genius! How bold! How dynamic! A breath of fresh air! I love it how two or three of us just sit here with our thumbs up our backsides instead of just one good guy! Go peddle your dev/designer love elsewhere. We're not buying it here. At least they haven't screwed up huttball (yet).
  3. Or you know, 'stop the spam' by giving it a proper cool down (a minute and a half) and a big damage buff. Swtor designers just aren't that smart.

  6. No, rail shot/HIB is white/weapon damage. It falls under 'primary weapon accuracy'. I'm thinking the VG class might benefit from just one accuracy mod. The DR curve on surge is so terrible anyways it can't hurt to lose .03% can it?
  7. Great, let's stick three players on guard all match. That makes the game fun. The devs are not very smart, this change sucks.
  8. No accuracy at all for DPS? Reason I ask, white damage attacks (rail shot, unload for merc) use ranged accuracy (not tech), which sits at 91% or so, which is bad.
  9. The devs are trying to cover up for their terrible design with the tanks and healer meta (aka 1 + 1 = 4). Easy fix would be to cut guard damage reduction down to 25-30% for player damage only, which would force tanks to taunt more often and effectively to be as good of a guard as they used to. That or they could adjust the resource management of sorcs so that they can't get infinite mana and heals. Commando and scoundrel healers CAN actually die when tanked. Lazy dev fix, is to make spam capping the new game meta. The team with the most grabby hands wins! Hur hur hur. The game designers aren't that smart or good at their jobs. Broken classes and broken mechanics can be fixed by removing AOE damage stopping caps? They're just dumb. John and Alex need to go back to whatever they were doing before this.
  10. Sniper is broken and needs to be fixed, but everything you're asking for needs to have a trade off. Other classes got candy, you want a better heal, cleanse, and defense just like them. I'm fine with that, but the 18K crits have got to go. Ambush + SOS + FT currently has WAY too much damage potential for someone to get the kind of survivability a jugg or a sorc has. To be fair, Engineering used to be a fun, viable, medium damage class (except for the wall bang!). with decent defense, until the horrible idiot Bioware designers decided to screw it up, like they did everything else in 3.X.
  11. 10/10 delivery, but terrible idea. Bad players are and should be a penalty to their team. I'm still laughing about having all 8 toon replaced by arsenal mercs.

  16. It's not that we don't like change. We like PVP. We like fighting other players and earning that node. What this change will do is remove the PVP part and change the meta into a spam cap fest. I don't care if it's been beaten to death. DO NOT WANT!
  17. The devs and designers are as stubborn as they are stupid. They're going to do this. Screw logic and obvious gameplay problems. It will probably go live. Lucky for us the PVP suits cost less, but you won't be able to stomach enough crappy spam cap matches to get a full set. Look if you want to stop the stale mates, do something about the broken tank healer meta. Or increase the spawn door timers by a few seconds. Don't change this. It's not well thought out, like most of what you do. Reflect lasts longer or as long as some cap timers (disarm bomb, hypergate is 6 seconds to cap). We know you all play nothing but sins, but the rest of us don't have any damn AOE knock back or CC. Ugh. Whatever. They just don't care.
  18. The new capping change will make it so that all it takes is 8 pairs of grabbing hands to take an objective if the other team can't cycle targets fast enough. It's a dumb idea.
  19. If you think six guys spam Zerg capping every door is 'fun' then I have to disagree. Oops, you didn't target spam cap guy seven fast enough. He took it. AOE's make a team actually turn around and earn what they're trying to take. What next, are we going to let people cap from stealth or CC?
  20. Honestly, I agree with all of the changes except the one where AOE doesn't stop a cap. This is going to make annoying 4-5 man spam cap fests common. That's annoying. Reconsider this one. AOE's are an effective counter to Zerg capping, and it should be. The problem with stalemates is the tank/multi healer meta. Fix that if you want to change that, come up with something else.
  21. Cool deal. Can we make PT kolto overload the same as enraged defense? Why not? (Sarcastic post for the slow people who are probably leaping for the QUOTE button without reading)
  22. Basically, if you're an average player, go VG and you'll do better than you deserve with the simple rotation and high burst. A really GOOD PLAYER like Snave however, can make a concealment operative almost unbeatable. Seriously, there is such a huge gulf between an average and skilled concealment player that it isn't funny. A good concealment is amazing to watch in the videos. A properly played concealment is the best 1v1 class in the game, and they're winning all of the tournaments.
  23. The designers did a horrible job with 3.X. They had their chance, now it's time to listen to the rest of us. They didn't do ALL bad, so let's list out the positives: * smaller and more frequent balance changes. Even if most of the changes buffed their favorite classes (assassin) they at least updated us more often, and didn't nerf anyone into the ground (except for PT pyro). * patch notes every week or so with what went on PTS. And they made changes based on our feedback (like the PT shoulder cannon thing). Problem is they never changed the most miserable things we told them needed fixing (assassin again, fix mercs and snipers, do something about sages, etc). Probably because none of it positively affected inquisitor gameplay.
  24. If they won't talk to us or listen to their players, they can all read about why everyone quit in the "cancel sub" comment section. Right before they all lose their jobs. Because no money, failing game. Seriously I know the current designers have a few fans here, but they have been completely incompetent at their jobs. They didn't really listen to their players, they trolled the forums when ranked PVPers were pissed at the stupidity of people queuing without an AC. Then when a couple of angry ignorant stupid teenagers trolled the Facebook and Twitter of Bioware's worst designer, they decided to 'punish' all of us by stopping communication. Bioware, You aren't punishing anyone but yourselves. We pay to PVP. You can't queue ranked without subbing. We want the game fixed. 3.x is a complete disaster so far, but it can be salvaged with a little work.
  25. 4v4 DPS (90% of matches) AP, sniper, and merc are dead both first and fast. In that order. AP only defense is to run like a Kenyan. Juggs are survivable enough to be the last man standing in any fight. The jugg heals, damage, leap, and stun immunity make them better than any AP.
