  1. I am happy enough to test it before making full comment but I am also aware that I mostly use overload on my sorc for enemies behind me. My assassin uses it as an offensive move more often. Maybe a 120 degree cone, behind the player would be better, ........ with an appropriate sound effect.
  2. I understand the OPs concern, I seem to be unable to stop some of my team members from standing on the goal side edge of the pit "looking" at the approaching Jedi knight ball carrier. Removing the ability to jump is one of two possible solutions to this dilemma.
  3. In The devs defence, they are fighting some history here; IMHO..... early on they realised a significant percentage ( some say 60% ) of players were playing sorcs/sages, this was due to their own advertising, Star Wars fans expectations, and the class perfomance during Beta's. In a reaction very similar to the dev's in WAR, they decided to use heavy handed and class changing Hammerstrikes to shift the playability of these classes. As a result several things happened. Some players left the game rather than reroll. Many others shifted to hybrid style sorcs/sages , while some rerolled and the true believers continued on as DPS in spite of the handicaps. Now the dev's are tinkering around the edges rather than using the same bold strokes that got them into this mess. I do not really blame them as it would take considerable guts to own up to earlier serious mistakes. Go easy on them, they are between a rock and a hard place now.
  4. I agree with this, on any of my melee chars I dislike having my targets knocked back out of my range by my team. In pve on my tanks, I want to control the fight and peeling, not have mobs flying thru the air every which way. I would prefer the change to be a front and back cone but can work with frontal cone.
  5. Interesting changes. IMHO, The people that care will test them out in pvp, the new people will not even know any different. I am looking forward to seeing these instants used on voidstar bridges.
  6. The development team copped a fair amount of flack for their heavy handed efforts in 1.2. Since then there has been approximately "nothing" done to change class balance. I do not expect that to change this year. It is highly likely that a slight level tweak, combined with bolstered warzones from 10-51, with new gear added for lvl 52s rank 90s, is about all they have left in the cupboard. I love the game but have very low expectations regarding pvp development.

  9. Not the rp server in Asia - pac, and from only several hours playing, not the PvP server either.
  10. I hope the dwindling playerbase grows when any nerfs are applied. it would be a major breakthrough to see a game grow through nerfing,as normally nerfs are followed by a decrease in subs. Good luck, see you in the next nerf cycle game forums...
  11. over and over people are missing the point. Some are saying that the current gear "grind" is what keeps players in the game. maybe.. Some are saying the current gear disparity is what drives people from the game. maybe.. IMHO, "We need a pvp system that attracts new players".
  12. It is odd that people who pretend to be defending the game, often are helping work against the game. If TOR server status is even close to accurate, the top 9 servers world wide are the only ones now above the 1.8 figure the asia -pacific servers were 6-7 weeks ago, now 1.3. As you drop through the 1.3 or so mark where pvp spawns slow considerably, I hope you have the courage to return to the forums and apologise for your contributions to the dwindling numbers. Yes some people can play even a lesser class well. No the game is not gathering subscribers quickly due to the challenge of playing lesser classes. Consider the issues prior to moving onto your next victim ( game)
  13. The OP feels he/she has justified why they quit,right or wrong, that is their call. The match described is a terrible but not totally unusual match. IMHO, There does need to be some sort of mechanism to deal with serial quitters. It needs to be controlled by the game team not the players alone. If you allow player run justice, you get the version each person justifies to themselves and I can guarantee you the innocent will be villified with the guilty. PS, I would stay to get the shadow his medal.........%&* the rest of them. Good luck.
  14. Revert the game to one character only per paid subscription. Then people will actually care about the viability of the other 7 classes. Then you can consider arenas. as it is now, the game has an extrememely high churn rate that would IMHO only increase if arenas arrived with the current 3-4 truly viable arena classes.

I enjoy my sorc, I am pretty happy with the performance of sorc in my hands while in a competent group, though I do know I could likely serve them better in another form, I tend to selfishly play on as sorc. That said, IMHO, I am a better Sentinel, Scoundrel and or Assassin. I play all 8, many pvpers like to know their enemy, I am from that school of thought. Please offer me some advice on how I may lower my other classes perfromance to an "acceptable" level more in line with sorc? Also offer me some advice on how to get the ex subscribers who played Sages/sorcs, Mercs etc to rejoin the game so that you may teach them how to play their classes. You may also want to start forming groups on every server to train the lesser sorcs. I look forward to the training sessions you hold on my server. If you do not pick up the sarcasm, posting a thread telling other people to stop QQ'ing, amuses me..
  16. SO your guild mates all stayed because of 50s PvP? ( to be the exact opposite of my experience) I am personally happy with gear progression, my issue is with the low percentage of people who stay with the game soley due to 50s pvp vs those that leave because of it. I share your disappointment at those that can not work out basic objective based pvp in sub 50s, but it makes for more "personal" challenge.
  17. I pretty much agreed with this but when a very large chunk of the playerbase leaves, it is time to think outside the square. Most of my ex guildmates loved sub 50 pvp. I love progressing my chars, 4x pr40 chars fully geared in Rift then Bam bored and quit. Swtor kept one of the 40+ of us anyway. good luck
  18. This is only applicable when the matches pop. If matches actually popped, it may only take a week or so to go from the 2000/3500 headstart to competitive. It is a pity that my personal experience is; we lose people from the game over and over in the few weeks to months that this process takes on asia pacific servers. I also note that class specifics aside, 10-40 is NOT more severely outmatched. I would suggest we have seen totally different things as I doubt you are intentionally BS'ing to further damage the games prospects. IMHO, I would guess we have lost people on others servers due to the early imbalance in lvl 50 as well, but feel free to continue posting information that is completely opposite to what I have seen, if it is your honest exeperience. If you are in fact BS'ing then please stop.
  19. Many people actually know what they are doing and can absorb a fair belting, they likely should be healed as priorities allow. When people "accidentally" position themselves badly, we have choices,often their playstyle makes it impossible to heal through the damage they choose to take, but that still leaves us the option of running while they die.. Or we could move to heal them or a better target anyway. Some Considerations we healers must ponder include; If moving will cost us the objective, if we are going to be next dead or would healing that player be of benefit to the team. Things we often do not have time to consider during the warfront include; Has this person ever played an online game before, are they suicidal, do they have the language skills to identify positive advice .

I use my cleanse while on the run as a second tiny heal, usually on a huttball carrier etc BUT I would appreciate a simple change to colors of debuffs that I can identify as cleansable but do not want a greyed out skill.. In english; I tend to over use my cleanse, I like being able to cast it on targets I can not actually remove the debuff from, but I would like to see cleansable debuffs. Often the tiny heal lets my target know I am still with them and they have heal support.
  21. My questions would have been; When are cross server warzones being implemented ?, and When will we be able to switch between Builds ? Good luck all.
  22. I play all 8 classes, only 5 so far in 50s pvp but this thread appears to miss the mark. The proposed nerfs to Vanguard seem to be "personal opinion" but I dislike nerfs so will not speak further. The proposed buffs to Mercs seem way too little. I doubt that more than a low percentage of people even persist with what is clearly the cellar dweller in PvP usefulness. My BH has not been played in 6 weeks. My favorite class is Sorc Hybrid, but I would strongly suggest merc is the first class that needs a buff.
  23. I play 5+ hours a day mainly on the asia-pac RP-Pve server. we hit 40 on fleet now and then. It is more often around 20 prior to 10 PM. I play both republic and empire sides. Please post the screenshots of the 100s on fleet. 2 out of three servers are struggling population wise, I have not personally been on the PvE server for some weeks so i will not be ignorant and post re numbers there. Please do not speak for all three if you think the pop is fine.
  24. I would like the addition of name change items at pvp vendor, allowing you to temporarily change the name of other players. Then we will have some real pvp....
