  1. In a very round about way, the original poster did in fact identify "a" variety of "bad" that requires attention; When people post to game forums with the intent of destroying the game or forums they should be removed from one or the other. I do not envy forum moderators their job.
  2. IMHO, Heavy commendation penalties for leaving a warzone will not increase the pool of players entering warzones. IMHO, the suggestion of a 500 commendation penalty for leaving was either posted to highlight the posters frustrations regarding quitters. OR it was posted by someone who hacked the account and wanted to maximise damage to the PvP ingame.
  3. We all have our own opinions so i will just stick with what I am seeing and doing. I have almost completely ceased PvP on my lvl 50s. I am raising more alts. I tend to remove myself from PvP queues if they do not pop within 30 seconds. I have always been mainly a PvPer in all games since UO, but while still hopeful, I am currently not finding a lot of fun in SWTOR PvP. I am not really worried about rewards as long as I enjoy the game play. With every game I have ever played, it is PvP that extends my subscription times. UO 5 years, EvE 4 Years, Rift 15 Months.... SWTOR 3 months? i hope not.. Good luck all, i hope you enjoy the game
  4. I have been married to a female gamer for a tad under 25 years now. Coleco console was our first shared system. She is currently playing world of tanks rather than SWTOR. I enjoy the sound of many of the worlds accents over vent/teamspeak/mumble but it has been many years since the sound of a female voice in guildspeak surprised me. Enjoy the worlds you inhabit.
  5. IMHO, based on the small sample of those few thousand PvP warzones/battelgrounds/conflicts/matches/warfronts/arenas I have participated in since the 1990s; "The most likely way to increase the number of people staying in PvP warzones is to make it fun for more people." Some games have tried punishment, some have tried reward, most end up with a mix of reward , challenge and fun.
  6. I am unsure of Batman's nuclear defence capabilities SO... Just back off to space and nuke Batman from orbit, only way to be sure...
  7. Intentionally wording threads/titles to cause a fight is Trolling. If you actually wanted to be of help you could try posting your link as something more positive. Ie " Here is a video of our guild downing XX"... fullstop no commentary required. Smarmy aggressively worded titles and posts just draw counter troll responses. It is very unlikely that this thread can now achieve any positive outcome for the game. Good luck, hope you enjoy the game.
  8. Please do not post smarmy posts and then take offence when someone calls you on the attitude. If you wish to put a point across rather than start a troll session, think carefully about wording . For myself, I always like to have a pocket healer for my tanks in all PvP worlds.. and yes 'Smarmy" is a word.
  9. It will be interesting to see who and which classes click the ranked warzone button, until then we are all guessing. My perspective only of course, other posters may already know what will happen in the future.
  10. I agree with any idea that brings more people into PvP on a regular basis. Amounts may be tinkered with but the concept looks very good.
  11. I absolutely agree. your experience does not seem to support operatives being 3 hit by a juggernaut. I also dislike people who assume some other poster is lying, they really need to just go with what they have seen themselves.
  12. While it may please some to throw abuse around when they disagree with posts, anything that reduces the player base needs to be looked at or discussed. Bioware must be true to it's own concepts BUT, not to a point where only bioware employees play the game. The focus has to be; "Increase the pools of players participating in PvP or PvE." The fight is NOT between hardcore and casual players. It is between populated worlds and long queue times. good Luck
  13. The double hit of reducing rewards and nerfing many favorite classes has reduced the fun factor for many players in PvP. This reduces the number in the queue and increases the risk of being sent in late to an uneven match. I suggest, you increase the fun factor, increase the rewards for participating and find a way to increase the pool of players. Otherwise, you can pretty much watch match wait times blow out. "watching metrics" is not enough...... Good luck.
  14. The abusers need to concentrate on a simple fact; reduced numbers of people joining PvP means extended wait times. Instead of discounting the op or taking the gutless anon abuser attitude, try to be constructive. If you want to PvP ,please do it in game, we need the players. Feel free to delete or edit the garbage posts, if you are up to it.
  15. My Sith are darkside all the way. My Imperial bounty Hunters are more light than dark but basically money driven.
  16. The aussies that were playing in my guild have not received anything either. I hope it happens soon as we ( asia pacific- oceania server guilds ) are already losing people sick of waiting to transfer their lvl 50s. Good luck, hope it happens soon for you.
  17. I PvP because I enjoy it. The more people that enjoy it the faster the queues... As soon as anyone asks for something to encourage PvP participation the "cut off my own nose to spite my face" brigade cuts in with Epeen or , "never seen the issue" style posts.. IMHO, I doubt it hurts you very much if someone else gets 30 commendations instead of 10. IMHO, Instead of posting against these sorts of posts, maybe you could toughen up and bear the pain so that they continue to queue. Many games have died due to a dwindling PvP pool, be part of the solution if you can.
  18. People attacking the OP need to remember one thing; If nobody queues against you, you get zero commendations per hour.... I am all for premade PvP teams. I am all against the game servers dying. Reward people for joining warfronts, or increase the pool size you are drawing from.
  19. I am willing to believe the Mantra that they felt compelled to, "bring healers down to correct performance targets". For those healers who now feel their classes are no longer fun to play; Please take a good look at the game, decide if you wish to unsubscribe, reroll or continue playing. We all have drama creation options such as withdrawing healing characters from PvP, PvE Group content. BUT, be careful with your choices.... After the drama settled, even if they reversed all healing nerfs, the game would likely be dead.
  20. I would replace it with a skill that partly removed the health penalty from Consumption. or A skill that reduced the cast time of a single target heal by say 0.5 to 1 second. In all honesty, I never used the skill, possibly a skill to increase companion defence for 20 seconds or something non game breaking but useful in PvE.
  21. Mostly I agree with the well thought out posters.... BUT The point being overlooked is that the game designers have not IMHO, been 100% accurate in which decisions they choose as light or dark. I would submit that there have been many choices ingame, flagged as lightside gains, that were inherently evil. Many cause great harm but serve republic, or self interests rather than any pure form of "right". In one case the Lightside choice was to not allow a new lifeform to naturally rise to sentience. 100% against the Star Trek universe prime directive, Kirk would shoot you down as the evil dog you are if you tried that in his timelines.
  22. I used khem for everything bar the last fight in my storyline. I found his primary weakness was , he dies when exposed to multiple gun users, so i normally grab half of them before I send him in. I have been playing as a corruption sorc though, may be different for DPS sorc or assasin.
