  1. I don't see it mentioned anywhere on here http://www.swtor.com/ so I'll wait and see what happens. Even if they go F2P I'll still continue to play, it makes no difference to me at all. Why do I get the feeling that if this was any other MMO, the reaction might be a bit more *ahem* positive? Hmm? ...just sayin'
  2. I don't want to kill Satele Shan, oh no, I want one of my Siths to romance her into the Dark Side. All it takes is a little bit of passion, and huzzah! Dark Side Satele!
  3. Welcome back to the game OP! Glad to have ya here!
  4. I just transferred off my old server, I'm kinda nervous but it seemed to go ok. I don't know, should I wait a few minutes to log into the game?
  5. Agreed here as well. I've played a ton of other MMOs, an this is where I will most likely stay. TOR just has that 'something' that many other games do not have, and the folks in-game are actually really nice and you can get plenty of help if you need it. No MMO is ever going to be perfect, but for me this one is pretty close. Welcome back OP!
  6. I'm glad that there is a slow pacing to this. It's given me time to clear mail boxes, and Galactic Market listings. Got my alternate names list ready, and my alternate Legacy last names list as well. Hoping I'm origin, but ready to transfer. Take all the time you need Bioware, I shall patently wait.
  7. This needs to be seen again, and ready many times by all. Wise post, wise words, and a wise player.
  8. Ahh so they are going to do this in small chunks. I see the logic behind it. it's a good thing I have plenty of patience...Time to just wait and see what's next.
  9. Ok wow...this is amazing! I've never thought about some of those connections before but, they all make perfect sense. However, something seems to be missing...how does this all tie into Kevin Bacon?
  10. Yay a new thread! *stretches out on the new threads couch* Waitn' on SGRA.
  11. Thank you very much for the replies! This has been really enlightening, and educational. This is really helped me in forming my Jedis character, and helped me with playing the class.
  12. At this point, I'll just be happy when it arrives. Whatever Bioware chooses to do, and who they choose, or who they choose to create, it will be well worth the wait. I may not get who I want, (but if I do that's good too), but for that.....I will always have my head canon.
  13. Ahhh but ScarletBlaze, that's you're own interpretation of the code (and a very balanced, and good one at that), and that interpolation may be true of later Jedi, or Skywalkers Jedi. However it's fairly apparent, ( If I am wrong please correct me), that in this era Jedi are taught that falling in love, and attachment do lead to the dark side, pretty much all romances, give dark side points. Even Grand Master Satele Shan give up her own son, because becoming attached to him, and caring for him, was against the Jedi code at that time. Also all if not most of the Jedi encountered as a Sith (so far for me) appear to be either completely devoid of emotion, or if they have any emotion they are utterly insane with it....it's interesting. Like I said befoe, they make for a really interesting parallel, to the Sith in this game. Very clever writing, I must say. ^_^
  14. Bwhahaha! Now that is classic Corso!
  15. Party Time? How do you get that title? That's one that some of my characters, would love to have.
  16. Think of it in shades of grey. The Jedi (TOR Era) may see themselves as a force of good, but they train their knights and consulars to be very ill prepared for the reality of life in the galaxy. They have zero coping skills, and the lack of emotion, and attachment, training makes them completely unprepared to deal with any of those feelings when they appear. Do the Jedi save people? Sure they do. However they can't always save themselves, especially of simply falling in love, leads to the dark side. However, in a way that's what I like about the Jedi in this game, they are 'good' but deeply, deeply, flawed, and it makes for some interesting parallels to the Sith.
  17. Balance is, as balance does... I shall simply re-spec and re-learn a few good techniques. Really this happens so much, in MMOs how a days, I'm almost immune to any real anger over it.
  18. I have my backup names ready. Anyone else have theirs ready as well?
  19. I'm certainly preparing, for these transfers. I have a list of five backup names per character, and a list of ten possible backup legacy names. I've also consulted with my best friend, whom I run all flashpoints and play the game with, and we have agreed to migrate to the same server if it becomes necessary to do so....or to stay if our server becomes an origin server. We go to...or stay put....either way I'm ready. Just waiting for the server list.
  20. YES!! That is awesome news! More story is always good, in my books.
  21. Apparently, Maul actually survived the encounter. o_O
  22. Personally I'm quite happy with how the stories have turned out in TOR. While I may have some issues here, and there, overall I find the experience to be quite enjoyable, and heck, it beats out the tired old MMO text boxes any day. I understand that they had to make some concessions, in order for the story to work in an exterior world that can't change too drastically, but I think that with the story instances it is handled very well. So far, so good...at least for me.
