  1. And it would be so nice and orderly but for an RP-PVP on APAC and US West (sorry Ajunta).
  2. Trouble is ... the hold-outs. Those who elect not to transfer. Howabout 24 server forums and 1 miscellaneous forum
  3. They've got 9 NA destination servers now, and 9 europe, and 3 asian, so 21 total.
  4. I'm on Jung Ma and RP rarely, though when I do, it's fun, especially during random PVP encounters. The guilds are great. I RP when I'm near members, simply out of respect for them, especially since they take it upon themselves to protect others, etc. As for having a bunch of non-RP's come to Jung Ma, my concern isn't RP since many people don't RP on Jung Ma. My concern is maturity level. I love being on a server where I can keep General on without hearing kiddies talk about women like they were cardboard cut-outs. When I heard Jung Ma was a destination server today, I was initially worried, then found out which one was coming over. Yeah, I know ... population. But really, I don't miss it. It's more about quality than quantity. Better to have 700 concurrent cool players than 2000 concurrent nimrods.
  5. My wife and I re-rolled on Jung Ma months ago because of their earlier trailers, along with some guild ones, like: http://www.swtor.com/community/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=4611568 We love the Jung Ma community. They have fight nights and open PVP events like this. And Alpha Company "patrols" ... helping us lowbies out when gankers come round. Best of all ... it's a mature community for the most part. I can even listen to General most of the time
  6. Oh man. Forgot to re-start the download last night. Have fun guys See you in ... Forever. (1.61MB/s currently)
  7. My server is #10 (Jung Ma) and I have no problems. Grateful we re-rolled at Level 20.
  8. Hi, Could you make an "Archived Threads" sub-forum under general, then move closed threads with duplicate topics there instead of leaving them to clutter up general? I know I'm not the only one who's tired of seeing the many me-too threads created as I scan for useful information.
  9. Perhaps some options to lose legs, arms, fingers, toes . . . the role-players would love it. Some would of course have their companions hop around like the Monty Python "It's just a flesh wound" guy.
  10. Thanks for posting this. Looking forward to the remaining introductions. Would be good to have a web page with all of this, along with another for the developers.
  11. Re: layoffs. From what I understand BioWare Austin was just part of the larger EA layoffs, which means it isn't necessarily tied to SWTOR profits. More likely, all EA studios were asked to trim X% based upon their potentiai impact on profitability. EA is a big, big company, one that finds it more profitable to shed developers, restructure, and re-hire other developers six months later, than to take employees through a restructuring. See this: http://www.benzinga.com/tech/12/05/2560878/ea-layoffs-explained
  12. I performed the steps on both my wife's and my computer and now have a noticably longer load screen time (minutes longer). We're running Macs with bootcamp 3.3. Anyone know what made it do that? We started from a fresh Windows 7 install on both machines.
  13. Wanting to vent but need some help crafting your very important message? Here's a guide for the impatient. Grab a six sided die and choose 1 for 1/2, 2 for 3/4, and 3 for 5/6. ** The topic title ... 1) I just have one thing to say... 2) Are you unsubbing if ... 3) Bioware, I want a pony! ** I was hanging out on fleet last night, and I saw ... 1) five people during prime time 2) some Bioware developers not working on ranked warrzones 3) a flying El Camino! ** My friends are so bored with this game that they're ... 1) playing Kirby's Epic Ball of Yams 2) hanging at the mall with meh-chicks 3) role-playing! ** No wonder Bioware is ... 1) bleeding subs like a bad horror movie 2) firing people like clowns in a circus cannon 3) ignoring us like my parents ** I loved playing this game but .. 1) then I took an arrow to the knee 2) I did everything in two weeks and hate PVP and raiding 3) everyone has /ignore'd me on my server so I can't get groups ** I won't be resubbing unless they... 1) address my most current pet peeve 2) hire me and my friends as community consultants 3) change the whole game into a Call of Duty clone So who's with me?
  14. Jung Ma is great. Never a wait to PVP, never hard to find groups. Not too many stealing mobs, etc.
  15. My wife and I are very happy with the game. Have been playing for two months, nearly every day. Quit complaining and re-roll on a higher pop server. We're on Jung Ma and love it.
  16. I really like the idea of server-to-server tournaments. Top teams of each server playing for TOR-wide bragging rights.
  17. 1. Space PVP combat 2. real incentives to revisit worlds for open PVP 3. cantina games, such as pazaak (or even poker) 4. rare crafting visual designs that you can name yourself 5. more regular world events, with smaller scope
  18. I agree that going backwards sucks, or even the threat of permanent death is bad, but I can't deny that it added a level of drama I haven't since felt in a game . . . Getting killed was actually a topic of discussion, not a momentary delay while you ran back to the action.
  19. Have you considered sponsoring an eSports circuit/contest to draw attention to PvP and ranked warzones, much like other games have done? Wouldn't need a lot of money to get people excited, probably no more than the travel costs you paid for the fansite & guild summits. People would probably do it for a title "World Champion 2012"
  20. Yeah, some kind of priority rule would be great, such as: * number of people in guild * whether you have a website * whether your guild pre-exists TOR The only way to do this would be to have transfers to *new* servers, so everyone's in the same boat. I doubt they could ask people who aren't moving to change anything.
  21. My wife and I will definitely keep subbing. We re-rolled on Jung Ma a few months ago, and are very glad we did. Yeah, it sucked a bit to get back to where we were, but the difference is night and day. None of the problems I read about apply to us ... easy to find groups, no need for transfer, no gamebreaker bugs, loving crafting and questing and PVP. We're also a bit daunted about ranked warzones (we suck), so even that's not a disappointment for us. In short, we're completely happy with the game and consider 50 cents a day a bargain for what we get out of it.
