  1. Ah, it's a chasm in that quadrant. All the better.
  2. This morning I was doing some PVP gearing and for the life of me, couldn't figure out where the weapons vendor was. Looked all over that quadrant and couldn't find it. It was because those two vendors were completely obscured by parked players. For myself, it was simply that I forgot, but I can imagine it being confusing for new players. Were I king, I'd make a 30 second timer that then makes parked speeders susceptible to Force Wave, so we could periodically blow 'em over the railing. When they came back from AFK, they'd be in the moat.
  3. Ha! Didn't realize when I re-subbed today for 6 months that I was being so appropriate to the day. Well, looks like I'll be here for the one year!
  4. Just adding my voice here as well. Resubbed for 6 months, given the overall positive vibe of the last month. The transfers were smooth and life-changing. The restructuring is clearly working as well. Keep it coming .... you've got many happy players ready to recommend the game to all.
  5. So this is one week before transfers began, and one week after. The Jung Ma number seems like a before transfers number. There's been a noticeable spike since transfers. WIll look forward to the averages that *don't* include pre-transfer.
  6. Great to hear the good press. For myself and my wife, we're enjoying the game immensely and will stay subscribed for a long time. Great job with transfers and the 1.3 changes too. And please ignore the forum haters, the one's with obviously active accounts that tear things down because they can.
  7. Okay, so 187 transffered + 30 destination or no change servers = 217 servers. Done and done.
  8. I count 187 servers transferred to 21 servers, so that's 208 + 3 APAC. I believe that's it.
  9. It's there. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=477706
  10. Are we done? Have all the servers transferred or received?
  11. It is now. Are we done? Have all the servers been accounted for?
  12. Coming up on a new transfer announcement, no doubt. Predictions? I'm thinking its gonna be big like last Wednesday.
  13. My solution ... read and contribute to all other forums besides General. General should be renamed the "Haters" forum. It's much more helpful and positive elsewhere, especially on the server forums.
  14. Put another way, I rather not have PUGs in my groups from another server.
  15. If this is what you want, then howabout server-to-server matches ... 8 mans from one server vs 8 mans from another. This would promote higher levels of competition for those that want it. As for League of Legends, I agree that they've got the PVP thing down, but their communities are .... well ... let's just say that if I were a 16 year old boy hating life and those around me, I'd be right at home
  16. The turn on the lights mission on Balmorra comes to mind. Quite tricky, with no combat.
  17. One other point ... people keep saying the last 20% of servers that are waiting. It's *not* the last 20% of PLAYERS. This is the more important number. If these waiting servers are indeed low pop, then the number of waiting players is much lower than 20%.
  18. Please everyone keep in mind that populations in fleet aren't the numbers they're looking at. They're looking at total number of "potential transfers", which includes people away from the game, waiting for transfers. They have no way of knowing how many people will start playing again after transfers, which is why they're doing what they're doing. They need time to see the *unknown* variables. The other point people keep mentioning is 'why not transfer my low pop server ... it'll make no difference." Again, saving the lowest pop servers for last is the better idea for two reasons: 1) it's easier to top-off servers with small pop servers, and 2) fewer people are left waiting. Wouldn't you rather have the greater number of people enjoying the game more quickly, or would you rather have fewer people benefiting?
  19. Loving the influx of new players on Jung Ma this last week, and am already getting to know many of them. We've had three planned server events (a guild summit, a dueling match, a multi-planet world PVP event). Along with seeing many names I recognize, I'm getting to know new people (and new guilds) as well. Just my opinion, but the only way to build community is to get to know each other. The only way to do this is to see each other in PVP, in events, around fleet, and in FPs and Ops. Oh, and the forums too. Server forums are likewise key. If instead I was PVP'ing with random people from other servers, this would be much harder. There'd be little chance of seeing them around again. Also, I've witnessed about a half dozen instances of a new player being mean to others (usually in PVP matches), with other players saying its' not appropriate, etc. Being on the same server, such player-regulated remarks and inevitable ignoring really do make a difference, especially on a matureish server like Jung Ma. Having random trash-talkers from random servers pop in and sully things while PVPing or group finding would suck, especially on a server like Jung Ma. Just my 2 cents ... Thank You Bioware for sticking to your principles and not caving to cross-server LFG'ing.
  20. Full now (when everyone's transferring) will be almost- full when pops settle and people start playing at scattered times.. The more they can cram into each server now, the better the long-term pops moving forward.
  21. (perhaps this is better put here) As simply as possible ... 1. They're trying to make the destination servers as full as possible 2. A *lot* more people will be transferring over the weekend, because they only play on the weekend. 3. They didn't transfer many low-pop servers because it's easier to "top off" a server with low-pop servers. 4. They can't do this topping off until they see just how many people will actually transfer this weekend. It's not about fairness, it's about achieving the best long-term results for the game. It might also be about faction balance, though that's only my hope.

  23. Regarding those that would hassle someone for watching cutscenes, count me in the "remember their names and never group with them again" crowd. Life is too short for such impatient people.
  24. Fleet on Jung Ma last night was a real party. Thanks for taking the time to do it right, BioWare.
