  1. That team would be annoying, but what would they really accomplish? In Huttball they'd do well because of rescue + leaps, but 8 of them would be overkill. In Civil War they'd be able to stall like nobody else, but who are they going to kill? Same with Voidstar, would be great for defense but you would rarely kill anyone on offense. So essentially you have a team that's good at Huttball and built to stall on Voidstar and Civil War. So say 50% win percentage overall.
  2. It's being phased out for now, because it absolutely doesn't meet the requirements of entertaining PvP and people hate it. Their comment about them 'not blowing up Ilum with the Death Star' is enough to let you know that they plan to do something with it in the future. But for now, it's just a frustration most players would rather do without.

    Alderaan side bikes

That's something you should take up with your WZ Ops, not BW.
  4. Duels have their purpose. Unless you want to play every single class, they are the best way of knowing what your opponent is going to use against you.
  5. That's why I think the weeks after ranked warzones come out is going to be the most entertaining time for these forums. People who actually think these teams can win because Sorc WTFPWN are going to be crying like 4 year old children about the fact that they get destroyed in every single ranked WZ. I'm already stockpiling popcorn.

    Alderaan side bikes

Considering the trip down takes about 5 seconds, it's pretty much perfect.

    PvP from a Sage's PoV

So like a Stretch Armstrong or something?
  8. The start or rated WZs is going to be extremely funny. All the people who read these boards and actually think Sage/Sorc or Commando/Merc 8mans are going to destroy people are going to be bottom ranked and not understand why. And then they'll come post how Marauders or Gunslingers are so OP.
  9. I think premades will come down to guard more so than anything else, imo it's the strongest PvP ability right now. Second to that would probably be stealth detection. So I see a lot of successful premades being composed of commandos/mercs (stealth scan is best stealth detection atm) along with probably shadow/sins for guard. But really the best premades are those that are more flexible. I don't know if the 8man teams are going to be forced to be static, but if you can vary your roster freely than those teams that are willing and able to play different classes/specs are going to be those that are more successful. People will play what they think is the best to begin with, but slowly some strategy or team makeup will become popular, like multiple Marauders for force leap. The team who's willing and able to field multiple gunslinger/snipers to counteract this is going to be the most successful, at least until another strategy becomes favored. The teams who have multiple 50s to choose from, and the intelligence to field those 50s against specific tactics, are going to be the most successful long term, regardless of initial makeup.

    Warzone Challenge?

I would rather know what the blurred out bit in the top right means.
  11. The rep team was almost all Knights and Consulars. Does that make Knights and Consulars OP too?
  12. They have 2 30m, one to an enemy and one to an ally. And they can spec for another 10m.
  13. I am totally for nerfing drivers.
  14. Should just add a lockout debuff like force shield has. Can't be Rescued again for 3 min or something. Really though Rescue isn't near as bad as what Knight/Juggs can do. Seen one jump from grabbing the ball to the goal line in about 5 seconds solo.
  15. So by this argument you're saying that fresh 50s walk into WZs with full battlemaster? Really?
  16. It means gaining a significant advantage from going into multiple trees instead of using a 31 point build. As the sorc/sage talent tree stands now, they gain a lot more from going hybrid spec than they do from a single tree spec. Some of those tree abilities are probably going to be shifted around and/or moved up to make hybrid builds less appealing.
  17. You can easily do HM Ops in PvP gear, maybe even NM. But is that because it's good or because there's no sub? You have numbers to back this up, or just your opinion?
  18. Well there will be additional medals for objective based play, so I assume something like damage done to ball carrier, healing on ball carrier, more defensive medals in Civil War, etc. This should increase the rewards for participating in meaningful PvP in WZs and not just badge farming. By participating in rating WZs your stats are tracked and you are rewarded with ranked WZ commendations that can be used to buy higher Valor gear, but from what I understand it won't be statistically better than normal WZ gear, just different graphics/colors.
  19. Because it's a video game. I have a job, thank you, I don't need another.
  20. The hardcore PvP gear progression will be the new ranked WZ battlemaster. It won't be any better than normal battlemaster, but it'll have a unique color/graphics. This is the way it should be. There is something for 'hardcore' PvPers to aspire to and show off without giving them an unfair competitive advantage through gear.
  21. Really, gear meant nothing in UO? Heavy XBow of Vanquishing, remember that? Yeah, basically an 'I WIN' button.
  22. You're assuming the ranked gear will be better than non-ranked gear. Last I checked, all BW confirmed is that ranked gear will have unique colors.
  23. Were they all sorcs, or inquisitors?
