  1. " As I write this we are actively developing all of the above as well as PvP Seasons," .... You missed this part of the blog it seems. What should BW do for the ground PvP that would make you(OP) or anyone else truly happy with PvP?
  2. I've seen this before, i think. Your opponent dies then your Smuggler holsters the weapon normally. That's when you hear a shot and you may or may not see a shot fired into the ground. I'd say that it's a bug...almost like it didn't completely finish the previous animation before it started the holster animation. You can report it as a bug, but unless you can get video, it may be hard to replicate for them to fix it IMO.
  3. I like this idea. I was also thinking that(since the event is for ~lvl 25+) only players eligible to participate in the event would have to worry about "opting-out" via vaccine. Edit: This would solve any issues on low level characters IMO.
  4. ^Soooo much this. A CD text would work wonders here. I've tried to unflag myself countless times only to re-flag myself instead.
  5. Oh, ok gotcha. Yeah that's not right.
  6. Wait, defending a node is a bad thing? I always figured that since I'm getting objective points for the team, I'm doing what I'm supposed to.
  7. /signed http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=714337 I made this thread a few days ago about this also....just some ideas about it anyways.
  8. How do new players on Tython/Ord Mantel use a vaccine for 2000cr?
  9. For Armstech, you want Scavenging for the metals and compounds, and Investigation for your researched compounds. Armstech isn't a bad choice considering the companion bonuses to the crew skill. My recommendation though is to go Armormech (if you absolutely want a crafting skill), as your 1st 2 companions use +Aim gear so they both can just get hand-me-downs regularly. Also, if you purchase Treek, she also uses Aim gear. This will help since you only will have to focus on Heavy Armor research. As an aside: If this is your 1st character, there is nothing wrong with picking up 3 gathering profession as those will help fund future character crew skills.
  10. ^True. Otherwise the armors wouldn't fit. I suppose they could just do customization bundles for those races with orange gear, similar to Treek. But IMO, that doesn't sound like a good time to me. Also, the voiceovers wouldn't work since they're all in basic.
  11. Maybe if there was a nice incentive to using the droid for other purposes it may get some people interested. This is the way I could imagine this working to where it is roughly balanced so end-game crafters/raiders/soloist don't feel neglected: The seeker droid has a "stance" ability that could be set for whatever gathering ability you have maxed out. This can be used on any planet...With higher difficulty planets having a greater chance of higher level mats. -This would reward max level characters with better RNG chances, whereas low level crafting alts would still get their shot at these mats just with a lower chance. These mats could be used for crafting raid equivalent gear and/or CM stuff. Cybertech- End-game mods and CM speeders Biochem- Better stims adrenals and XP boosts Artifice- End-game crystals and CM dyes Amormech- End-game purples and CM armor Armstech- End-game weapons and CM weapons
  12. Check the forum it's in Maybe they want to keep it vague so the forums don't explode with threads complaining about the event before it even starts. Edit: Icebergy beat me to it lol
  13. You have to RE the green to get blue, which you RE to get purple. I've seen a few times that the purple gear is better than oranges with planetary comm mods in them. Some planets have patron mods when you need skill mods for example. It's all preference. You can level successfully in this game in green gear if you want. My 1st main was a cybertech and I made sure I had all purple all the time in my gear. Now I'm playing with armormech while leveling and staying away from any orange gear just for fun. TLDR- it's never a bad thing to have choice.
  14. What if they were to make end-game crafting mats and schematics obtainable via seeker droid type searching? This could work something like if you have "x" gathering crew skill, you have a chance to dig up "y" material. This could work for any gathering profession. This would allow the dedicated crafters/solo players a chance to craft/sell/equip high tier gear with their name on it, but it would also be relatively rare so they would have to "work" for it by going to planets all across the galaxy. Then they could choose to either sell the high level mats or save them to craft a piece of gear that may sell for a high price. Crafters/solo players are happy Raiders would still get to put in their "work" to get their gear also but wouldn't need to worry about non-raiders obtaining gear without some type of dedication. Also, say a raider is missing 1 piece that just won't drop...by all the runs you've been doing, hit up the GTN with the creds you've earned and hopefully find that piece. Everyone wins Bonus: Once crafters begin producing high tier gear(that will eventually be obsolete) it will make gearing alts for raiding that much easier. Also, it would be a good way to get people off the fleet and into the galaxy.

  16. I was just going to ask if anyone saw that in his sig
  17. I believe that you can unlock her with Legacy 40 + 1 million creds -or- Pay something like 700CCs to unlock her for all you future toons through legacy. Edit: That is with the contract you already bought....I think anyways.
  18. I'd prefer this to anything else honestly. Making an xpac that contained all class stories would be best case scenario by far. But if that's not feasible... I definitely agree on this though. If the content is worth the cost of admission, sign me up. I just don't want to have to buy CPs for a chance to receive my story that I want.

  20. Only way I could imagine this working with TOR, from a game-play standpoint, would be to free up 2 keybinds(a,d). Or it could be used to control the camera if nothing else. Otherwise, this looks more like an FPS peripheral. I really can't see it making a big impact immersion-wise on a 3rd person viewing angle IMHO. Edit: Wow didn't notice the date of the OP.
  21. So now a "loyal defender" is someone who pays money for an xpac?
  22. So what would you like the devs to do with this event to make it more enjoyable, OP? Maybe you should offer up some realistic suggestions in your OP so a Dev might take it into consideration.
  23. Hmm, I seem to have read someone give some advice on this recently in another thread..... Yep, that was it.
