  1. The Juggernaught has the best single target agro holding and some nice defence cooldowns. The Powertech gains some utility and aoe managment; whilst maintaining heavy armour. Assassin (although changed recently in 2.5) was supposed to be a class based around entirely clicking extra buttons to get all the little perks, still important to a lesser degree now. They have the best all-rounder defence boosts including the ability for a few seconds to completely negate tech/force damage, which can counter some insta-kill abilities like with Titan 6 in S&V. They also have the worst single target hold (only just though) out of all 3 tanks, but taunts work all the same to get it back. They do though, have the best AoE agro holding - boasting iirc 4 or 5 specials for just that. Out of all 3, I'm an Assassin (of course) and powertech is by far the easiest to get hold of. Easiest to get a rotation down and if you find yourself bored has one of the best DPS options if you find yourself wanting something else.
  2. If subbed, you have access to 8 characters. I personally have unlocked another 10 slots and have 2 open at this time. It'll be 3 soon once I've transfered one I'm leveling, if I get around to it. if I recall, the total goes up to the mid 20's if you really want that many. As for new advanced etc, I'd wait for 3.0 news before even thinking we'd be getting anything as nice as that.
  3. I'd just be happier for more "non combat" content, treasure hunting was close... and for a time worthwhile, but they ruined it after a few patches. The game's 99% combat... you can make an MMO do so much more than combat; you've got the locations and tools for it and the engine supports some interesting optional side stuff... use it!

Although I'm not fond of the names of the Assassin "forms" ... sorc doesn't require one because I personally assume that they are already in the form that boosts force attacks of any kind, including healing. I do agree, however, it would be nice if their basic melee attacks did something useful when out of force.
  5. I feel that a simple change to how companions are counted towards group is the way to go...the first one or two companions should not count towards group counting; thus making things easier for low pop groups (a group of 3, having 2 companions, makes up for lacking 4th person) ... and a group of 4 would have a single companion of choice with them in open world (excluding maybe Ilum during Gree event) with them. Flashpoints, normal player limit applies if* LFG tool is used, otherwise above works out fine. Operations will always bar (ban) the use of companions, so end game is not affected.
  6. I do find it odd they picked Thanksgiving for double but not Christmas? I think you'll find even Muslim countries take the day off just because we do - they might not celebrate anything, but they take it off just 'cause. If anytime of the year was perfect for double, it would've been the 12 days leading to Christmas + a week after Christmas.
  7. To be perfecty honest, a Jedi fights best when in their underwear - fact. Robes hinder movement, as does the plated outfits. This goes double for Sith. Now if you want to complain, I'd take a look at all those Bounter-hunters in Bikini etc. Troopers too.
  8. If you take the shells, nothing else, I'm pretty sure they are exactly the same - minus 51 power. It does however, allow you to switch stances on a whim and if whilst leveling you're using a cartel crystal, the 51 power isn't as missed as usual... nor do you really need it. You can, whilst leveling, get away with using nothing but the green armours and hilts from the most basic vendors on each planet... it's just alot easier with the blues or purples.
  9. You seriously doubt the Twi'lek community and their desire for a hood... I'll happily fork coin for a hood, be it game or real. I'm not alone in that ideal.
  10. I'm still waiting for them to make a hood a Twi'lek can use, it isn't hard for us Twi'leks to move our lekku forward and have them droop over our chest instead of d****** over our backs. Togruta. They have their's over the front, then could also have them going behind if they so wished, get on it.
  11. The problem with this MMO is that it lacks any real reason to unite as a community. Jung Ma is only starting to really form any kind of community because of the low pop. SWG, a game now dead to the world on any official level - actually had the means and requirements to form bonds... this game just doesn't have 'em.
  12. This was the intial purpose of Ilum... now it's only really used for those who need those few levels -or- during the Gree events.
  13. Personally, I feel cartel coins or this game are terrible gift choices... but I'll assume the American Amazon will stock both of these items you're after, AND includes a unique Amazon-card only pet that they'll get with the CC.
  14. Type 1 would be a Teenager or healthy Asian build. Type 2 is what most American women strive for, a healthy build. Type 3 is ... healthy amazon, if nothing else. Type 4 is just healthy in the female case, and as someone else said... wrestler build. But healthy still. They need a type 5, which would be a Snorlax build. 100% Obese but still looks like it'd kill people, like a Sumo Wrestler.
  15. I'm pretty sure Mustafar is still a green world at this time... Although, in light of the next expansion ... the restruction of Mustafar to the "modern" setting would be perfect. Geonosis would be a fun "Daily" zone, designed around pvp... awarding Warzone commendations in place of standard commendation types.
  16. I would love to see some new healing methods in game; but you need to think about one little thing. We already have 3 healing styles, so the only prompt thing to do is improve or add or change the current 3. Unless they add a 4th optional tree to all advanced classes; I don't see that happening anytime soon - although a sniper with support probs etc would be interesting.
  17. I'd like to see a few more Races, a few more advanced classes (so less work load for EA) and some more planets... as my major 3 options from the poll. Naturally though, that means I want more customisation!
  18. You should be able to look for single letters, it does not make sense that we can't. For example, several of the courting items or was it one... has the letter "Z" in it, why not allow us to search for "Z?" Then we have the other somewhat limited search of "of" which actually, isn't a huge mass of items to begin with, so it's a good way to bring down the items up. Those above mocking the idea are honestly just looking for an arguement. Go troll somewhere else.
  19. I'd like to see the conclusion of several companions... some that are redeemed, some that finally fall. If nothing else, I'd also like to create my own companion, that would be fully voiced by several of the voice actors on retainer. But more plot is always welcome. So I'm supporting this. Anything to get us away from the lackluster space.
  20. It's be a relatively simple thing to have the leveling gear to scale out to Tionese when you hit 55; stuck at prototype throughout the leveling process, plus it's not like players under 55 can really do much to those in full 69's ++
  21. To be perfectly honest, Thanksgiving is not a Holiday for a portion of the playerbase... why is this? Not all of us are from the US of A. So yeah... when it's an actual Holiday for the Non-Americans it'd be nice to have a little double, even if it's only for a few days instead of a full week. (and a bit)
  22. If they asked the community that they were nerfing... they'd likely have found out, after reading the math... and the fact many of us liked the self-healing, that we wanted to keep it. Assassin tanks were squishy, you knew that the moment you saw "Light armour" instead of Heavy. We used force abilities to offset the lacking base resists. If you wanted AoE agro with higher base resists... I'm sure Vanguard/powertech is the middleground tank type you want, not Assassin/Shadow. But back on topic, no ... I do not want the DR boost at the loss of all the already reduced healing we've now lost.
  23. Personally, I'd like to see Grenades augmented to the class type using them. Operatives, Assassins, Juggernaughts, Marauders, Powertechs - 10m range makes sense. The damage they currently do as Re-usable does not. Sorcerers, Snipers and mercs, the current reusable damage is fine - but the range should reflect the class using it. A boost to 20m or 30m would make more sense than the current. This applies to the Mirror classes of the pub side. You may not like how my logic see's this, but I feel this would make things fairer for all grenade users. They do infact need a small boost after the universal nerf 2.4 brought them.
  24. Snipers are THE anti-melee class in the game. Deal with it. You meet a derp sniper(gunsligner) you can outdps them anyday. You want to screw a sniper up? Ask a Madness Sorc (or Repub mirror) to land some dots on them, they don't like it.
