  1. As grateful as i and many others were with last new race added to swtor it still wasn't exactly the race everyone hoped for. There are many great races in swtor atm as both AI and companions that can be added as a race you can select in character creation no matter if its the more humanoid races or races that are less humanoid and speak different languages as that is what subtitles are for just as when your wookie companion speaks to you in swtor we all simply read the subtitles to understand anything that is said and same can be applied to any race period that doesn't speak common tongue like a wookie or etc. Great races/species to add and keep in mind is and reminder just like in swtor now some of these would only be playable for and as a specific class and others any class so for example Rodians (great for smuggler class), Nautolans, Weequay, Mon Calamari, Gand, Wookie (Great for Trooper/smuggler?bounty hunter) , Trandoshan( trooper/bounty hunter), Chagrians, Devaronian, Dashade( great as sith warrior), Kaleesh, Talz ( great for troopers/bountyhunters), Houk ( Great for bounty hunters/troopers), and etc. This can easily be done by making certain species only playable with ceratin classes xD so here is hoping bioware really considers adding more species to cartel market as it would greatly add more replay value and immersion to swtor nevermind simply giving players more reasons to stay or come back period as well as bring in more revenue for swtor so win win for everyone xD.
  2. Its not enough that they have been killing swtor since 3.0 but never thought they would go this far with these 5.0 changes it will most likely be the final nail in the coffin for swtor. They have gotten straight lazy with everything about swtor and only care about making the most money possible at the lowest cost possible and with least amount of effort involved period.
  3. I get all excited about the future of Swtor only to realize the end is near with each each of the recent and upcoming changes unlike changes they made in past that actually improved Swtor and put it on right track awhile back. I notice a lot of people have left and I feel it's because bioware has continued to do with Swtor what they did with both mass effect and dragon age franchises and slowly stripped away a lot of the RPG aspects and meaningful content that fans of the genre expect and that helped make Swtor an RPG. Recently it has looked like bioware is trying to turn Swtor into something more simple, casual, and more on the action side then the RPG side that's for sure. If you remember they did same with both RPG of the year mass effect and dragon age origins where they started off with these great true RPGs but with each sequel they stripped away a lot of the RPG aspects and started to develop both franchises into something that felt even more simpler, casual, linear, and more on the action side then the first titles were and looked less costly and easier for them to develop as well. Even for example the the upcoming change to companions Swtor where you will no longer be able to outfit your companions with actual and meaningful gear but now only outfits that are purely cosmetic and meaningless happened with the mass effect franchise as well. If you played and remember with Mass effect (RPG of the year that year) you could just like Swtor gear up your companions with meaningful gear like yourself but no longer suddenly could with Mass effect 2 and it became purely cosmetic and pretty much a skin like it will be in Swtor. They are stripping away a lot of the both big and minor but important aspects to a true RPG that help keep players more involved, immersed, and allows different experiences for everyone with RPGs and essentially what makes and sets the RPG genre apart from other genres and helps make the RPG experience more meaningful and fun unlike other simpler easier to play genres where fun is all that you can expect. Some of these aspects are why it might take someone hours instead of minutes with certain aspects and content of an RPG and helps give RPGs a lot of replay value. When it come to RPGs more is always better not less and people like to have choices with every approach.People like to being able to do more in RPGs not less and for example each class, race, crafting skill is not suppose to be the same and flavorless so to speak but interesting and more true to what it is or the lore as that helps separate each craft, class, race, and etc from one another while adding to the immersion people expect to find and get with RPGs as well. Anything from a race, to craft skill, class, or etc is suppose to be interesting and different from one another and have their advantages and disadvantages over one another and not be simple, identical, or the same. The way the things are going next we won't even have an in game inventory or even be able to do something as simple as looting wait they already did that before too more so with mass effect and somewhat with dragon age lol while it didn't start that way with either franchise it sure did lead to it with sequels so wouldn't be surprised if it happened in Swtor. So by looks of things Swtor is turning into one huge PvP mode where the aspects that make up an RPG or the immersion no longer matters and everything is simple and completely the same why bother even have different classes/roles while your at just make everything the same and basically one flavor. Now think about it why take away alot of what makes an RPG like Swtor special, interesting, and fun in first place and that sets it apart from other games and genres and turn it into just another casual/action game that are a dime a dozen nowadays and doesn't require much thought or effort on the players end to play. It looks and sounds like to me that they are trying to make the MMO into something easier and more affordable for them to maintain so that they can sink even more of their effort and creativity into the cash shop then they already do. So if you think about it basically they are trying to make their jobs easier and an MMO that costs even less to maintain. So the players get less for their money but they earn the same or more profits from the cash shop and game now talk about a bad deal on our end.
  4. Right we just losing players period thanks to both recent and upcoming changes they are basically stripping away and dumming down Swtor
  5. Tell me why take away alot of what makes an RPG like Swtor special, interesting, and fun in first place and sets it apart from other games/MMO and turn it into just another casual/action game that are a dime a dozen nowadays and doesn't require much thought or effort to play nevermind maintain sounds to me like they are trying to make the MMO into something easier and more affordable for them to maintain so that they can sink even more of their effort and creativity into the cash shop then they already do. 6. I was thinking many mmos get new classes and stuff and i know it would be hard to add new classes to SWTOR but how about adding just a new Discipline (advanced class for each of the current classes instead. Something that very doable and wouldn't involve the work or any new main stories it would take for whole new class. Basically picture a new discipline for Troopers and bounty Hunters that used Tech swords, vibroswords, or Tech staffs like some of companions in game do and use already. Or another example a Jedi or sith discipline that allows use of saber in main hand and pistol in offhand like Jedi and sith have used and done in past. That's just two examples to get my point accross but i'm sure Devs would have alot better idea and creativity up their sleeves. I really hope developers consider this as this idea along with ideas like new races are ideas that are very doable and could really bring back old players and new players alike and push the mmo in right direction.
  7. We need more races soon been waiting awhile now and only new race i hear is in the plans is Tortuga which don't get me wrong i'm excited about but and thought we were getting it last expansion so considering how long we have been waiting and it will take for tortuga race to be released i really hope devs are planning and developing more then one new race for this mmo in near future. This game has been out so long now and we only have one new race so far while other mmos have and get new classes never mind races and all i'm asking for asking for is new playable races. So how about shooting for more then just Tortuga in 2015 and give us two new races this year maybe like Tortuga and Weequay xD Just to be clear and respond ahead to some of the replies i think i might get new races would not only make swtor money but can bring back alot of old players and add new players at same time nevermind what it adds to replay value of swtor and considering all the races star wars universe has and is available to choose from the possibilities and choices are limitless which means the amount of money this mmo can make is as well so that should be enough incentive for developers and publisher. Now regarding what it would take well aside from maybe some new voice overs and dialogue that you may have to add depending on race you won't need to add entirely new stories for each new race or anything like that since main stories in this mmo are class driven not race so shouldn't be hard to add more races that's for sure and especially considering how lesser mmos can add entirely new classes which is alot harder and more work to do so new races should not be an issue at all and more then doable in due time if its wanted.
  8. What's with them always nerfing what little good and viable crafting skills we do have instead of actually fixing or improving upon the other crafting skills that need to be improved and fixed. I'm sick of this it's like their only solution is always to nerf or do nothing instead of actually putting in the work to fix and improve the crafting skills. I mean this atitdude of taking the easy way out has to stop and I really hope this was a mistake because this is just stupid and I'm starting to think they want to ruin all crafting skills to the point that they are worthless and pointless to craft so that they can kill off crafting all together. They have only neglected or ruined crafting ever since Swtor went f2p and gained a cash shop and it seems like it only continues to be the case. What happened to the excuse of we will have more time to do more work on other parts of Swtor by switching to discpline system? If that's true then why does it seem like nothing has or is changing, Swtor has come along way since launch and is a great MMO that deserves more and with right support can be even bigger and better then it already is or has become but if they continue to head in this direction they will only ruin what they have worked so hard on to become the MMO it is today. To me it seems like all their focus and creativity is completely going into the cash shop even more then it ever has before and even more less into the MMO itself in fact everything done is only to improve sales of their cash shop and less about making it a better MMO. I hope I am wrong and going a bit overboard but from my experience probally not but I really hope the developers prove me wrong in 2015.
  9. This is how I feel about the whole state of crafting in Swtor and I hope they really focus on it in near future and better not hear any excuse about time now that developers said they would have more time to work on other things in Swtor by changing to new discpline system so let's see what the next excuse will be if it doesn't happen. As far as crafting goes aside from just making money crafting should also be useful and worth while at least that's how it's always been and how I also feel since not everyone wants or chooses crafting just for making money and that not what it's just about, now to those who preach and have this mentality of hey be happy or it's better then nothing should never be the answer or solution and anyone who thinks so honestly is a sucker and not helping themselves or anyone and in fact one of the reasons the gaming industry is the way it is. This is a business after all and we are paying for a product and have the right to complain and not only have expectations but to expect them to at the very least be somewhat met especially when we know it is possible. In some MMOs or even games crafting is fun and worth getting into but in Swtor it's far from it and tends to be a waste of time or not even beneficial that's what I feel is the biggest problem and the developers need to do something about this. It would not only make crafting more viable but more fun to and worth getting into as it should be a aside from something to make money with. They could add so much replay value to Swtor just by fixing and improving on the crafting in Swtor and making it an activity worth getting into as it should be in first place. Only reasons I can see for the developers to neglect crafting like they have was and has been due to Swtor going F2P and gaining a cash shop (CM), in fact they even nerfed some crafting skills after Swtor went F2P and is pretty much all they have done. This thought process of thinking crafting will hurt the cash shop doesn't have to be a concern if they just take the time to come up with a good and proper design that would still be good enough but not hurt their cash shop sales which is possible if they bothered to try, but of course taking the easy way out and just nerfing or doing nothing is always the easier way out then trying to come up with a real solution.

  11. All I know is that devs said that implementing the new discpline system would mean giving them more time to focus in other areas of the MMO more then before. Now even if I disagree and dislike the new revamp I will agree if that is the case then maybe it could have been a good move but from what I have seen them do so far it hasn't yet been the case and all that's it has done is gave them more time to focus on and put all their creativity into the cash shop (Cartel Market) even further and more then before and not in other more important areas as they said it would. So so far they surely haven't met the players expectations or followed through with what they said would happen after the revamp something that worried me and concerned me when I heard about revamp because in my opinion like most MMOs I felt we were gonna lose more and gain less in return from the change and that they just gonna tell the consumer what they want to hear just to make the transition easier and run smoother. Now I will say at same time it's still too early to pass final judgement and I hope I'm just being over cautious and Jung the gun about their plans and intentions for the MMO and 2015 but only time will tell. This may be off topic but I'm still waiting on the confirmed race we were promised and was supose to launch along side the Revan expansion but I bet there reason for delaying the new race was to sell it through cash shop separately instead of including it in Revan expansion as they made players believe would happen something I'm not happy about but will overlook of course because new races are great and important no matter how they do it but I hope in future expansions this don't happen again and that they make expansions fuller and bigger then the past 2 expansions and instead just charge more, I rather pay more and get more instead of paying less and getting less like they say you get what you pay for. A steady flow of expansions are what makes MMOs successful not cash shops and they need to put more effort and focus on providing bigger and better expansions first then the cash shops. This isn't hard choice to make since bigger and better means they can charge more for their expansions so it's not like they won't make money. Now don't get me wrong if it was the case where they didn't make any money from expansions tthen I would understand since first focus of any MMO is of course business and money first since without it the MMO could not and would not exsist but of course this ain't the case. So I hope their plans for 2015 is more about focusing on the MMO itself first meaning expansions and new content in general and then cash shop second and not put all their time and creativity into just cash shop alone as I have seen both lately and in past. These are my thoughts and hopes for Swtor in 2015 and hopefully it's another great year for Swtor and a better future.
  12. The whole idea to take away people's choice on how to build and level their characters is always stupid when it comes to RPGS and btw last two MMOs that had this kind of revamp had no success with it and one even shutdown eventually from this. If you want to talk about cookie cut builds well this revamp pretty much is a permanent cookie cut for everyone lol. People don't play RPGS because they want something casual or simple in fact they like being able to build and level their characters the way they want to and don't want their hands held during the whole process if that's what you want then your playing the wrong game and genre. The whole idea of making RPGS more casual and simple never works in the MMOs favor its proven fact. Before you at least had the choice to build your character and builds they way you wanted and could build hybrids the way you pleased and weren't forced to choose any cookie cutter build if you didn't want to now you have no choice but to With this new revamp and they basically took all that away away forcing you to go down only the paths that they built for you. In fact the only choice you have is picking from a few untitles that really doesn't allow you to differ much the way you could in the past. Bottomline they did this to make their jobs easier when it comes to balancing and patches but they didn't have to and could have instead fixed things the right way with a little bit of extra work without taking away one of the better things and mechanics of RPGS that yes people who play RPGs expect to have in these type of games. You would think they would look at past MMOs that have tried this and see how badly this kind of revamp and change fared for them in fact SWG pretty much went downhill after a revamp like this and WoW lost a lot of its subscribers after it decided to go casual with this kind of change and revamp as well. So why in the hell would they do the same given history? Honestly what's that old saying if it ain't broke don't fix it and the whole excuse from devs about this making their job easier and making it to where there able to do more in other areas of the MMO is a bunch of you know what way to ruin and possibly kill a great MMO. The things are going it can only become more casual and less of a true RPG, I bet next they will make the quickbars shorter and design the UI to fit and work on a controller lol. What a big shame.......
  13. I am really disappointed since this is one of the things players have wanted and longed for awhile now and something the developers pointed out that would be included with the Revan expansion when asked about it and even pointed out it would just like it did in past expansion Rothc. So I am hoping it is still gonna happen but just gonna happen shortly after the expansion launches as it happened and was the case with Rothc because even something as simple as new species/races is something that is much needed in SWTOR since it brings in much needed replay value and is something that can easily do a lot of more good for Swtor in Other big ways so please don't let us down devs. Remember new species/races can be a way to make you more money while make the players happy at same time so it's a win win and with now that you the devs will suposeably have more time to do more in SWtor due to new system like developers said this is something that should be invested time into and taken seriously. They can market it through cartel market or include it through DLC whatever works as long as it happens is what matters at end of the day.
  14. Honestly we need more races period and why not its smart to do so both sides would benefit. It's something that adds replay value, brings in money, and would bring many players that left back and new players in as well. I mean you have an mmo based on Star wars which has Galaxies filled with races why not take advantage of that. You can even create new races whenever and sell them on cartel market or let everyone pay to unlock them whatever works and this can be done every now and then throughout the year, you shouldn't have to wait for a new expansion to release as only way to get a new race or races. All i can say is i really hope we start seeing more races in near future and i hear with upcoming changes bioware will have more time to do more in other areas of the mmo so we will see if this happens and i hope this is one area we see more work in, at least it would be wise and beneficial for both sides.
