  1. Got an idea for you... Female trooper kissing Aric Jorgan. One word. "Hairball"
  2. It affects any and all NPC that uses a melee skill, or are completely melee. The "grade" of the target, be they weak or flashpoint boss - does not matter. Droid, beast or NPC - again - does not matter what-so-ever.
  3. You are correct, not one single update since 1.2 has landed on the PTS. Some may argue they forgot about the server completely.
  4. Oh, that might not have been so bad... makes more sense they hang forward like Togruta headtails... but either way would have been nice.
  5. The Lekku should hang down the front, like very long hair would. Simple cosmetic thing, that should have been included in some, if not all, the hooded robes in this game. Kind of a downer when you get a hooded robe, only to find the hood hides instead of the Lekku.
  6. If you played on the PTS normally, or even if you only played for 30 minutes on any given planet. You would notice that any melee combatant resets / evades mid fight and heals completely. This also affects social groups of 1 melee and X ranged; if you don't kill the melee the whole group resets. Making questing impossible and leveling stupidly hard and slow. and before you say "Play on live then" I've invested more time on the PTS than live and have no wish to restart from skratch. I've chosen to play on the PTS in the hopes of catching bugs and reporting them... sadly, I can't even play effectively on the PTS, nor do they seem to update the server with patches - or read tickets. I would be content with them just keeping the server playable, if all they wanted was to publicly test the huge patches, but they can't even do that.
  7. They should have looked at the starwars game they took off the market 2 days prior to this ones launch. Sullustan (you know, that fugly thing that destroyed the 2nd Deathstar) Ithorian Wookiee (note, 2 E's, Seriously) Trandoshan Rodian (Hate them, but yeah...) Bothan (Dog like, in some ways; although ToR draws them differently) ^ All of these were options in the previous starwars game... not to mention they have the artwork and different skins to choose Togruta and Cathar in this game, so why don't we have those options? I was looking forward to rolling a Togruta in 1.2, instead I just get the same old -edit- from the other side. Nu uh. Not funny, furthermore... I have to level that to 50, or dish out a mill and a half. Gee. Urgh
  8. Nice... real mature of you. Guess your shed is fully stocked. I think you'll find, on a server that has maybe 50 people on at any time during non patch days (aka when a large patch goes live) that you get to know the entire server or at least, the vocal members of the server. Having played on Test servers, private servers and small populated servers across multiple games all of which were MMO style, they do infact, form a community. Maybe not so much as in SWG did. But they still form. Unlike majorly populated servers, where everyone basically uses everyone else. You have people doing others favours, helping each other. It's kind of what a small server does. A real shame you don't get that. Really.
  9. For bored level 50's huh? Last time I checked, matrix cubes (thanks for that) were any level content, meaning if you had the cubes, you had the means to get the completed stat increasing end product. It's the PTS, with the sole purpose of testing new content. Of course, new content comes at us at all levels. Class quests all the way back from the swamps of Hutta - to the end of the line stuff on Corellia. Every aspect of the game needs to be played under normal circumstances. If it isn't, then new players will bump into bugs and suffer for it... and the way the masses are these days, some people give up on the first major bug and unsub and find the next toy. I'm not like that. I try to overcome challenges, test bugs. Have done since I played Lineage2, Rift, SWG and several other MMO's (Not WoW though, sorry)... But this company seems unable to get the basic concept of a testing server, as do you. When you make a public testing server, keep it open, keep it online... you keep it up to date. Up to skratch. Keep it stable. That way, the community which forms on that server can continue to play normally, until they are needed to fill in the required blanks that come with each update - those blanks, being bugs. Of course. Cloning dozens of 50's onto the PTS will not catch bugs on newbie planets or mid-level quests, they won't catch the companion issues if all they do is pvp... you need None-50's as well as the 50's on a PTS. But, even if you only clone the 50's over... they will not be able to do the planetside quests either, you know why? The whole server is broken at this time. It needs fixing.
  10. To those who support the plight the PTS playerbase is suffering, I thank you for your support. To the tools/trolls that don't seem to comprehend the use of a testing server, try looking up some everyday items. Anything sold on the open market that can be used (aka not food, but that gets tested too) will go through numerous testing regiments. Hard hats will have bricks, spikes and other objects thrust upon it. Cars will be stress tested and crashed hundreds of times to make sure it works as intended. The same basic princible applies to a testing server for any game that utilises an MMO patten. When something new hits that testing server, the means to test it are the same as when it will go out to live. So all players are level'd up normally, items acquired normally and not through some character builder or frog (SWG slang). We, on the PTS just want to play the game normally and report the bugs encountered. Sadly, it seems now the Flashpoints are starting to suffer the same bug that has stricken everywhere else... a shame really, I was getting used to farming the instances daily; if the problem persists... I'll just have to find another game to play. Please. Fix the server. Not only are you shooting your customers joy in the head, but you're shooting your company in the foot. Here's a simple math equasion for you... Game + Customer = money. Customer + broken game = unhappy customer. Broken game + customer + unsub = no money. What are you going to do if all the testers unsub? Because the test crowd in any game is small to begin with.
  11. Exactly, test server. You know what you do with a test server? Wait for it... You UPDATE IT BEFORE LIVE. Yeah. Shocker right? The thing is, the server has *NOT* been updated since 1.2 hit the server. It has NOT been maintained. At all. Resets do not fix the issue, which has totaled maybe 3 times since 1.2 hit. We are asking for the server to be checked up on and fixed.
  12. I've noticed you've already moved this thread to general, this is not a General issue. This is a cutomer issue, hence why it was placed in the customer services section. For those who play on the PTS, this has been gamebreaking... do you know where most players have gone instead of your live servers? Diablo 3. Old MMO's they used to play. Fix the server, or you'll end up losing the "loyal" playerbase that played there fulltime, reporting bugs etc that you never listen to.
  13. Give it a few days here or there. Two weeks. The PTS as a whole, has been borderline unplayable when it comes to the Melee variety of NPC. Boss, Champion, strong, normal or weak. Could be a droid, NPC or beast. Does not matter. This fundermental issue affects not only world npc's but instanced npc as well, Class quests as well as normal ones cannot be completed because they *EVADE* and run back to their default posistion. If they are already standing at their default position, they simply cannot be attacked for several seconds. I don't mind it so much, for certain quests, infact... running through Tusken encampments or packs of wild Womprats (was on tatooine earlier) I found it very relaxing not to have to fight everything... simple reason, they reset after 20seconds of just looking at me blankly. But this also makes it impossible to level up through class quests, because any melee NPC can and will reset after a random amount of time. Please. Address the issues of the Server and fix it. No MMO player should have to wait 2 weeks for their server to be fixed - period. If you cannot look ater the PTS on the basic level (I can live without updates) then shut the server down during None-major testing to save people the illusion that you want us to play and level up on it. Thank you, and please... stop and think before giving us the default reply.
  14. Doesn't help that we have what... 44 options, on the female side for the Humans and *most* other species... That maybe 8 of those 44 will actually look like you'd want hair like that. The Ponytail for example, realistic... but it goes *through* hoods etc, so they can't even get semi-nice hairstyles right. Whoever did the hair designing needs to be thumped and told to add more REAL styles - and whoever worked on the helmets and headgear needs to have their legs removed as incentive to actually clip off stuff where it needs to be clipped. Or in some cases, Lekku facing forward - not removing the hood! Alot of potential customisations in a VERY customisable game. Yet they limited the playerbase absurdly. If they can't fix the problem at the character creation page, why not shaft us some more with another credit sink... and enable some kind of terminal or ship droid option where we can change appearance? Naturally, bodytype and face type would be limited or more expensive... but everything else shouldn't be too hard, right?
  15. SWG's TCG, had several buff items and XP boosts. But the most game breaking that came from it, was the unique housing you could get from that. Not only did you have to pay for packs, it was 100% random. Some of the buildings were pretty damn nice too. For a sandbox game that supported mass-city building that was run by the playerbase... it was borderline game breaking. Especially if the house you wanted was only found in the Card game. But you'll find, for some companies, the MMO sub is not enough and they need the extra cash cow to milk in funding for staff and content - although I'll admit, some companies just milk it dry.
  16. Yeah, I know how a test server works, typically... they'll have anything between 2 and 10 private testing servers, an Alpha server and several text/code servers. But one thing most companies do, they own an MMO franchise, is look after the public testing server - and by looking after, I mean... keep in working order whilst it is online. If they can't look after the server, tell us now... I'll unsub and save us all some time. I'll just wait for a private server for Tor and enjoy my singleplayer game with optional multiple player content in a few years for nothing. Or, I don't know... treat those who are playing on the test server - normally I may add - with the same respect as the normal playerbase and let them play on a stable server; even if it will only be ahead of live for all the *large* updates, it should always be stable. Oh and it isn't BW that are mistreating us... it's EA. They handle the "Community" and all the customer support parts of the job, as well as keeping a firm stick where it doesn't belong.
  17. Issues would be a bug, that any other MMO would have fixed within 3 working days. Issues would be a slow patch because the very coding involved is akward, annoying or just plain hard to edit. Issues would be the game servers themselves are down to hackers. No, this is not an "issue" this is a paying customer, who has spent time, effort and money on a game - decided to play on a quiet server that also is designed to help the designers, only to get shafted. I'm not happy this was moved to the suggestion forum, but I have a suggestion for those who actually read that are in power - Hire new staff. Seriously. At the very least, make sure they understand the language they type in and have the ability to stray from a script. I was looking forward to leveling my character last week to 50, finally. On the final few planets where it all picks up speed - instead, I'm stumped by a momumental brick wall that feels like it was put there on purpose to drive people off the server. Why? I ask myself. Since we are encouraged to play on the server, yet, the very people that do the encouraging... forget, ignore and allow the server to degrade to the point where you pyscially cannot play without fluking a basic fight - every fight.
  18. The PTS, although under your guidelines is currently not reading tickets, nor are the staff who read tickets doing their job - as they should. I would have thought, in the very least, if they are going to keep a server online 24/7 - that they would make sure the playerbase can at least, play... even if they do not get tickets read. However, it has been nearly 1 week - since the melee issue has started up. Any and all NPC, beast or droid, that uses melee can - and will - EVADE, then reset if not killed before a random amount of time; usually at 1/3 health, 1/2 health or 4/5 health depending on normal, silver or gold. I'm not asking you to read my tickets, this time. I'm asking you, as a company, to make a population of around *maybe* 100 players who play on the PTS regardless of patch hitting live or not, able to actually play the game they are paying for. I get it, what's 100 people - right? Barely a fleet on one side during the afternoon... but we still pay for the game, like anyone else. We would like to be able to log on, quest and kill stuff. Since that is pretty much all we can do anyway. But no, we find it borderline impossible to progress, unless we fluke it somehow - Especially when confronting quests with Golds as the kill target. Please. Fix the PTS as a whole. It is Impossible to play normally, test bugs or report broken content - when you don't update the server or fix it when it comes down.
  19. Makes me wonder why they only have one companion for some of the character types... it's fine for Bounty hunters to have a single friend with them on OP's etc... but you get the Trooper who's meant to be leading special forces all over the place, wouldn't they have 2 of their 5 others at all times? Then you hit 50, group with other people... and suddenly, your BFF and/or minion vanishes... So much plot, story and time - not to mention effort and cost to the company (just read the voice actors list... some big names in there!) - only to be thrown aside in level 50 content. As for my own personal and 100% customisable companion, including race and gender - not to mention choosing their main skill set / minor skill set (having a heal/tank combo with low dps would be nice for my dps classes). I could most definately get behind. and whilst we are at it... can we please please please (urgh) have another credit sink in the form of a actual SELF-APPEARANCE customisation thingy that does players and creates custom companion custom kits? ^ Player changes appearance, companion equips like the presets.
  20. Whilst they are at it, make a planet where Imperials and Republic are Allies... 100% Allied against a third greater threat. If nothing else, would allow for direct trading and would allow for a 3rd market area type. Just make it have 6 sectors, 5 areas, 1 open world area :3
  21. If the issue was the bounty hunter 'Death from above' Animation was small, thus needed a nerf ... Why not increase the base Animation by 40% making it 8M from 5M?
  22. Personally I do not see what is wrong with Re-usable stims, period. The prototype version of the stims are far superior when compared to the purple counter-part with the flaw being that they are used up. I'm not sure what it's like for a level 50, I'm slowly leveling multiple alts because that is how I have found to enjoy any MMO I've played; and I've played plenty. But at least in the teens and early 20's the prototype stims are certainly better than the purple versions when you have them to use. Simply because of the added 15sec HoT addition to the item. Naturally, many people will buy the perma-item - but people will soon notice it isn't as good as the prototype for pvp or in cases pve without a healer around. If anything, it will stablise the market somewhat, make some items cheaper ... and give Biochems something long lasting to grant the community. Any of them using the skill for financial gain will simply continue to craft prototype stims. For those with a more... guild orientated disposition - will welcome the idea they can make level 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48 and 50 perma stims for their newer members; whilst still managing to sell off or barter the single use and superior types. I played SWG for 6 years; items that were consumable were usually slight boosts or came in stacks of many dozen - in this game, I'm content in knowing the lesser versions of items aren't simply granted a higher use, but a continious and perma use.
