  1. I can also TYPE in random CAPITAL words. summer IS not here YET. SUMMER starts on June 21 (pretend that 21 is in capital numbers.)
  2. In the Old Republic especially, the Empire was VERY anti-nonhuman. Non-humans in the empire were (and still are, to an extent) rare. That being said, the story-mode is single-player geared and playing an alien shouldn't matter, since there are exceptions to the rule. I'm tired of playing humans that have been tattooed and dyed different colors.
  3. You're a pessimist. This is what it sounds like what they are going to do to me. Let's say you have a server called 'Apple' with a population on the low-standard end. And then you have Orange, Banana, Pear, Grapefruit, and Pineapple with almost non-existent populations. If BW is smart, they will offer free transfers from Orange, Banana, Pear, Grapefruit and Pineapple ALL to one server: Apple. That way, the population on Apple becomes High-Standard and everyone's happy.
  4. XD I can just imagine Talos dragging my big ol' SI back to a medical droid. XD
  5. ROFL. Well, I can raise my companion from the dead after the battle ... if I'm still alive. But can he do the same?
  6. It does help. However, I wish you could set your companions' priorities, too. 'cuz there have been times when I'm going down, down, down in health and Talos just keeps happily healing himself.
  7. The walled-in maze that makes up Corellia DEMANDS faster speeders. Getting around on that planet is such a bear. There are no shortcuts. It's like point A to point B on that planet is 1 mile, but to actually GET from point A to point B, you have to go 30 miles. I wish I could skip Corellia entirely. The story is boring, the planet is hard to navigate. It would be much more enjoyable if I could speeder through the blank filler space.
  8. Woooow. I read the original thread, and I have to say, while this does not affect me at all (I keep my default no-resource ability in slot 1) I can't understand why so many people are saying 'get used to it' and 'do this work-around' when people are asking for an option that would make things easier. Everyone has to fight every suggestion on this forum. 'If it doesn't concern me, it's a bad suggestion.' Rofl. No, I hope the people who want this option get it. Because I can see how it'd be a hassle.
  9. Early summer: June 21-July 10. Mid summer: July 11 - August 15. Late summer: August 15 - September 20. ...Early summer for you is June 21? You are an impatient little ankle-biter, aren't you?
  10. This was very extensively publicized, emailed to you, and posted on the site. The only other thing I can figure is that you expected a BW employee to come to your house and hold your hand and tell you you had 30 more days.
  11. Again, if you aren't going to contribute to ways to make this work, this is not the thread for you. I'm not here to argue about whether or not it's possible, as I already think it is. I'm here to find ways to make it work. I mean, there are a billion reasons to do or not do anything. If you suggest a problem, please suggest a solution. The empire not trusting aliens is a hard one to get around, but we already know that there are exceptions to the rule, yes? And the story mode is supposed to be your story, right? For example... (Spoiler for SI storyline below) So if an alien species is introduced and is playable on empire side, it would be the one exception for that one storyline. There is also the possibility of a separate faction that is neither Empire nor Republic. See? There are ways around everything. Let's think of them.
  12. There's one part of the Sith Inquisitor storyline where the species you encounter carries a digital voice translator so that they actually speak common. I don't remember what part exactly. I think it was one of the Trandoshans. But I remember thinking 'oh, that was cool.' Oh, and I just wanted to add... I could debate why/why not this suggestion could be implemented, but the fact is that the addition of non-humanoid species only affects the people who want to play them and will not detract from the enjoyment of the game for those who DO want to play humans. So instead of arguing, why don't we all find ways to make this a feasible option?
  13. Heya! First of all, I'm aware that BW said that this will 'never' happen. I think they need to reverse their decision on it. I know some peoples' immersion in this game relies on the fact that you can have romances with your other humanoid companions, and that's all well and good. The problem is, some of us could not possibly care less about romance options. Seriously. To me, it's almost like a bad fanfic where no one knows how to write without inserting sex in somewhere, or as Bioware does it, 'fade to black.' I am a human. And so when I play a game like this, humans bore me. When I play a human, it feels like a self-insert, which actually kills the mood of the game for me. I want to experience the game from the perspective of another species, and not just one with breasts and proper female anatomy so that she can get it on with another humanish male companion. Looking on the forums, it seems that quite a few people want this, and they're always shut down with the comment that 'Bioware has said this will never happen.' Well... Why? Why will this never happen if so many people want it to? Why does every player character have to be able to have sex with one of their companions? If you're that concerned about Talz hot-hot-lovin' creating a great disturbance in the force, how about if you just make it so that if you play a Talz... You can't romance anything? This game is supposed to support a wide variety of playstyles, but the way the whole companion story goes, there's really only one, isn't there? Look, I'm not asking for Wookiee Jedi, but can we have something that isn't a human with body paint? Please? ETA: And, if after all of that, you still have to allow every PC to have romance, then allow people to romance and marry other player characters of the same species.
  14. There was this episode of Fairly Odd Parents where Timmy and Darth Vader teamed up to throw Jar-Jar off a bridge. It was awesome.
  15. I don't think we'll get Ewoks ever anyway. They weren't discovered at the time of the Old Republic. But I would SO play a Dug. As there are Gran in the game already, and they took over Malastare which is home of the Dug, I think we'll at least get to see them.
  16. Yeah, my lightsabers look like the ones in the video, too. D:
  17. Monkeys with keyboards ARE adorable, to be fair.
  18. You guys know what the game looks like to coders, right? You miss one close paren, and the WORLD ENDS.
  19. We really don't need a ninth character slot. We should just be able to copy any character over to the PTS.
  20. Still don't understand why people get into arguments about whether or not the game is failing. If it is failing, it will fail. Arguing about it won't make it fail faster, nor will arguing that it's NOT failing result in its immortal success. I like the game, so I play it. If I didn't, I wouldn't play it. Re: Ranked warzones, though. I don't think you understand what happened with these. On the PTR, they were not working right. They were bugged and incomplete and hardly ready for actual release. So many people are quick to jump on Bioware when they release buggy content, and yet these people are also quick to jump on Bioware when the content they want isn't released NOW NOW NOW. You can't have it both ways. Re: Game ends at level 50. Well... yes. Yes it does. There's no more content after level 50 because that is where the content stops. This argument is the most head-scratchy one I've ever seen on a game. For argument's sake, let's say you finish the game Kingdom Hearts. You get to the end, you've done everything there is to do. Do you then complain that there's nothing else to do? No. You wait for Kingdom Hearts 2 to come out, and there is miraculously more to do! SWTOR is not even a half year old yet. More content is coming. I don't know the condition of the game. I don't know how much it's making, or how many people are either subscribing or unsubscribing. I just go on playing the game because I find it amusing and fun. Perhaps one day I'll get bored with it and go play something else. That's just the way things are. I'm starting to feel like people posting that the game is failing are looking for validation or to swing other peoples' opinions their way. Why do you need this? Why do you want more people to feel the way you do?
