  1. I agree. Both simply can't go their way in peace. She is a big part of his past, Vader want to eridicate. There is Ahsoka and Obivan who eluded him. Now he had the chance to destroy Ahsoka. Who would really belive deep Dark Side Vader would let her go? On the other side, Ahsoka is definetely feeling guilty leting him fall. She has the opportiunity to put an end to all of this. She definetely won't leave with unfinished business again. This is a showdown duel. If Vader came out so messed up from the temple, this was quite certain a epic duel. And if he looked like that, how could Ahsoka ended up? (rethorical question) The point is, if he walkes away, then he has finished the task. By the look of his injuries, this must be one of the hardest dueles he had. So Ahsoka is not just a wannabe forcewielder, but an outstanding one and an outstanding duelist. The duel itself was shown only partially, before the temple closed. Thatfore everything beside that point, how epic or not the duel was is up to debate. I won't even dare to compare it to Duel of the Fates from RotS. If Barris, or Ventress are dead is unknow. I wouldn't wonder if Barris is also some kind of Desciple for the Emperor. Ventress is a survivor. Hard to belive she would ever encountered Vader. Most likely she kept a low profle, maybe something like Hondo. As we learned through Filonis interviews, Ventress will most likely have no part in Rebels. Sad, because, she could teach Ezra a lot of fighting techniques. After all she crossed the swords with a lot of outstanding Jedi and Sith and survived.
  2. When Kanan lost his sight I thought, eh, the LA guys do all the time exploit and refurbish the Legends Universe. A blind Jedi general working with the Rebels, hm, ... kind heard already from that guy, but just a different name. Are we going to see the big guys from the rebel Alliance? Mostly in cameos if even. Dave Filoni said it often enough to be quite clear, this show is not about the Rebel Alliance but about the band of Rebels from the Ghost. Those are the main cast and the center of the storyplot. Seeing Boba Fett is quite on the same overkill level as seeing Vaderin the show. Boba doesn't play around, he is the most efficient bountyhunter of his time and lost just once. We're definetely will not see Starkiller, since the entire TFU series was clearly taken out of continuity of Star Wars. But maybe the idea will be also refurbished somehow. Seeing some quite skilled and powerfull Inquisitor who turn sides...who knows? I think to remember tere are already 6 Seasons planned and orderd frome DisneyXD Since I can't figure out where I read that, let's keep it in mind that could be just a rumor cought up.
  3. The two last episodes of Rebels were indeed the strongest ones we ever saw from many standpoints. A lot of developments were made for Kanan, Ezra, Maul, Vader and Ahsoka. Some ties from TCW were bound, others werd cut lose. After reading of what will come to Season 3 I am thrilled to know more about Sabine and her geting more important in the story.
  4. Absolutely! But he also said he left open ends for others to tie in. That means, if other people want to make Ahsoka staying alive, than there is this open interpretation of "she walked away". And for the option of she died, there is this "walking into the sunset". All he is actually saying is, she is gone for good from the Rebels show. - Personal note, we'll see about this, since she is indeed his dear pet. You don't let your most beloved toy just lay around. From my point of view it is the same George RR Martin did with his prominent GoT characters. Take them out as long as they still have a great story and make room for another to grow. There is no doubt, as long as Ahsoka was in the show it was the Ahsoka and the Rebel Band show, even if she apeared once in a while. The best scenes in Season 2 were mostly spinned around Ahsoka. If Dave Filoni is the great storyteller some of us assume to be, he'll let her rest.
  5. Even posted her by another user, the link gets you to a interview with Dave Filony. As far as we learned GL to know, he tend to take bits from the Star Wars Legends Universe and rename places and characters to fit his idea. ..."Moraband" anyone? This planet is actually Korriban. And about Maul vs Vader. I think after you read the interview and the dynamic between Vader and Ahsoka, two major prominent actors of Star Wars, Filoni won't do this encouter between Maul vs Vader at all. It is to risky changing the focus of the audience from the Rebels to those prominent characters (again). Just look around, by now everyone speaks mostly about Vader vs ... and some sidenotes about the Rebels. But this is the Rebels show! ...and nobody cares.
  6. Pretty much this. People often think Luke beat Vader in some kind of combat. Well, there was not even a competition. Luke won, because he was his son. There is nothing to diminish in any way. Futhermore I will not comment on this to prevent wiseguy interpretations. Same here. Why the helicopterblades anyway? Looks kind of meh, I simply can't thnk of any practical argument, not even "because the Force" Maybe, but personal I think from this point on Ahsoka should be put aside. She had a gread story and a even greater end. As Filoni said, maybe there is a lot to be told from her past. -But I for one think bringing her back in any point past this duel wouldn't fit her role and neither the role Vader has to play. If the two are shown true to themselfs, none of them would've backed off from this encouter. The consequence of this is, someone has to die there. Overall I really don't want to talk about "who is stronger". Those are such dumb disputations, because especially in Star Wars everything is about fate and the story is spinned tight. Any protagonist and antagonist is set to play its role. Just a side note to SWTOR. Look at our toons here. Always outmached, still they win. Same pattern as in the movies. Star Wars is only a fairy tale to be told.
  7. Do not forget this is only a Space Opera. No real villian would play so foollish with its prey. There have to be that suspanse moment. Vader has to track them down for the whole series. If Vader would use his mentioned skills, he would have killed those band of Rebels quite easily and wouldn't talk to much, or just letting them flee. But where would the dramatics be then?
  8. You really need to find excuses for Vader? Indeed for different reasons. He is The ONE, she only a prodigy in the force and a master duellist. However he is The One. It's quite the thing fighting The Chosen One. Especially keeping the ground against such a adversary. After reading the interview from Filoni on IGN, I am quite sure she is dead. Well at least that is planned for her by him, even if it is clearly he doesn't want her killed. But to make the story work, she has to be killed by Vader. By their both speeches, there is quite clear none of them will go peacefully. And her last scene, leaving the stage, was too much of a cowboy riding into the sunset. I assume the same thing. Ahsoka and Mace have shown him there is a third way. You don't have to be neither Jedi nor Sith to play the game. You don't have to explain to me anything. I am quite sure Ahsoka was doomed from the first time she was meant to be Anakin’s Padawan. At some point, if she ever had survived the Clone Wars it'll come to a final showdown. And as Vader is seen in the Movies which are later in the timeline we have the answer to this clash. Ahsoka has to be destroyed. I'm not so sure the power level is the point here, but destiny. Sidious himself is not as strong as Vader, still he is the master. While Vader hast the destiny to fulfil being the Chosen one, Ahsoka, even as being a prodigy, her destiny is to fight Vader and loose. Again; there is no contradiction in what you argument and what I say. She is simply destined to be a great protagonist, but a tragic one at the end. She loses for good. End of Ahsoka Tanos story. beside that she was a better duellist at this point Obi Wan ever was. And yes, because of Anakin’s teachings, his attitude and her encounters. Here we differ. Where you saw that pressing I saw a quite equal duel. There was a fair giving and taking and using of all of the possibilities to bring the other down. No quarter was given. As a spectator, I never got the impression she was losing, neither Vader was. If we wouldn't know she will lose, we'd might think, maybe she could somehow win. But there was no choice. But this was only the subjective impression. There was no upper hand, not even at the end. Only after the temple closed she died and Vader won. Nope, only subjective impression and nothing else I never did. And I am fine with that and how it came to an end of her. At some point even the greatest sympathy carrier has to pass. All I am saying was, It was a good fight between the two, and exactly something like this I wanted from the first she was mentioned in Clone Wars beeing his Padawan. It was at the end not the "Vaders whipping arse show", but a duel between some powerfull adversaries. Ahsoka went down with a stif uper lip. Vader went out with a stif upper lip. The story that has to come was not changed.
  9. Vader owned her? At what point? They were quite equal and she mastered to vound him. Both are clrearly stronger than Mace and all 3 are in a total another league than Ezra and Kenan. And indeed Sam Witwer is a great choice for the voice of Maul. Oh, the emotion, like Vaders "I'm f***g kill ya, you unthankfull brat!" emotion outbreak? Or Ahsokas "I won't let you pass as long as I stand!" emotion? All those friendly emotions of happy unicorns and rainbows... Yeah those Jedi peace good ol' time reunions. Did we saw the same episode? Because in the one I saw there was no friendly reunion at all. Just rigid frontlines. Sith. It is also a language. Basic is just one of the main galactic languages. They don't have to. They actually have 6 Seasons for 6 years until A new Hope. After that there will be a bigger timelapse, like, well, 40+ years. And then Ezra will be played by Benicio del Toro. ...if you know where I'm getting at. By now I totally have no doubt he will be the next big thing in Episode 8.
  10. Most of the "haters" do not hate ME3 but only the dull ending. Green, blue, red, wow, what a change. Either way Shepperd dies, and everyone dies, or those dies, or the others. Meh! Beside that ME3 is quite enjoyable. Are we going to die at the end of KOFTE? Definetely not, because SWTOR is a MMO and thatfore has to have a never ending story. Will there be as deep connections to our companions as in the ME series? Sadly those conections ended with the class storyplot. The KOTFE wannabe boundaries are mostly just dislikeable. Almost any of the main companions I want to get rid of. Some of the non important companions are however very likable. But those have absolute no story to be told. So no, definetely not going to be a ME like storyplot design. I wished SWTOR would be more driven by the companions. In that way we could have a lot of small storyplots, we decide when to make, and our fantastillion amount of companions would have any motivational purpose. I even would wish this proposed design would be in the next big expansion plot. Don't center on a massive stoyplot, but give us puzzle pieces we can put together. I would also like to have those little companion stories during the chapter releases of KOTFE. It would be more fun, beside seeing only some chosen companion jerks, I couldn't care less about.
  11. red for Sith; green or blue for Jedi; green for Imperials; red for Pubic blasters. I am quite unhappy I can't have the classical colors in the Cartellmarket.
  12. Koth and most likely Malavay Quinn. Maybe Khem Val as well.
  13. People tend to forget SWTOR is a F2P model with a strong IG-shop. Actually it is the most profitable of the entire genre. That means in other words, SWTOR billing design is optimised exaclty for the purpose of compensating temporal player loss. The major error people do is watching at each and every month and how many monthly fee customers log in the game. For a F2P model this is absolutely not important, but the entire year the whole income the game can make. This devided by 12 is the actual monthly profit. And by that numbers SWTOR is still doing very good. If I remember correct SWTOR has the second best income of the entire MMO genre. Of course WOW is the primus, and there is a huge gap of income between WOW and the second best, SWTOR, but nevertheless SWTOR is still earning a heck of money. As long as it stays that way BW has no reson to change any subscription model or of the F2P design it is actual using. With that in mind, SWTOR will go on as long as it can. This mean, as long as it remain profitable and as long BW can use the Star Wars franchise. What happened back then with SWG? There were exactly those 2 elements that put it down. First of all Lucas Arst didn't want to rent their brand to SOE anylonger. Second, the game wasn't quite lucrative enough. Beside that BioWare had proven themself with KotoR and the new overall deal with EA was anyway at bay. So SWG was shut down. Will there be ever a new SWG? Not as long as another producer owns the rights of Star Wars. What happened to EQN? Actually similar reasons different timeline. The brand was sold from SOE. The new owner shut it piece by piece down, for reasons unknown by me. I hardly belive the argument EQN asn't profitable, because there is no profitable game in the alpha stadium. Only if the developer can bring it to gold it can be profitable. But until then is is only a hole for money. Shuting it down means there is absolute no profit for the owner. WildStar. As soon as the gamedesign was altered to be more mainstream friendly it began to die. Why? Because the entire combat design is not what most people expect in a MMO. IMHO it is still a helluva fighting system which is the most intense I've ever played into a MMO. In Wildstar I never had the feeling my alt got down for resons I couldn't understand but always because of my misreaction. Kinda "Dark Souls light". But that is the main problem! Most MMO players want to play a game for longer durations. We don't want to handle the stress on an on and on, but only for a short amount of time. Thatfore WildStar was designed only for a special kind of people. As soon as Carbine threw it in their faces by changing Wildstar more casualfriendly those people began to leave as well. And here we are now. Taking the whole circle, those arguments can kill any MMO. You do it to fast and to easy, people will do more content, but will definetely get bored. By that the players are robbed of the long time experience. "Don't you wanna be in short time a lvl 65?" - Well that's the thing, actually in an MMO endgamecontent is always short and repeditive. As sooner you get there, as sooner you'll get bored. And what is the costomer reaction? Of course taking a break for a while or leving for good. What does this mean for a MMO? Naturally less income, less playerbase. I never understood why SWTOR's level phase has been shortened by this amount? By me it was fine, paired with those XP Packs and the lvl60 token everyone could have the levelingspeed we want. The secondary bad developement was the now boken crafting through the fast leveling span. By all means, IMHO BioWare broke 2 of the main spires of the game and called it an improvement. Well it's not! It's weapongrade Ballonium. And the thing that bothering me is, the alternative could have worked quite easy and would be cheaper, since everything is already in the game. By lowering the standard leveling speed those two spires would be working again.
  14. If BW acts like the last time EP 7 was released any of the Star Wars movies will have none impact to the game. IMHO they should've synchronised KotFE's release with the release of EP 7, and do a lot of movie based stuff instead of HK-55. As for WOW, Blizzard broke it similar to any other MMO out there which got their first addon. It seems this is a thing in the MMO genre. You release a new addon and boosten up the level speed, ease up the classes, smothen the GUI, get rid of unprominent crafting and missions, etc. Just look at any MMO who had the first or several addons. The more you compare them to Vanilla, you'll realise that all are streamed out the same way. They are killing the longevity of their own product. IMHO all of the deveopers did major errors assuming the playerbase wants to be dumb. Because all easening up shows only on thing "you are dumb and lazy. Here I'll make it easier for you. Now give me your money." You know what the funny thing with Wildstar is? While it was unique in its first months, indeed it lost some customers. Still it has character. The it got streamlined out and even more customer left for good. It is simple to recognise why: They took the "soul" of this game also. By now it is nothing special with an unsettling kind of gameplay. So, why would anyone play that game, which behaves to complicated instead any other MMO around?
  15. As I understand the duality of the Force, the Dark Side is like running on turbo all the time. You consume everything in that state. As well as yourself. While a darksider works that way always at 100% from the start he has not the capability to have absolute control over the force, however he is able to do mainfold stuff. While lighsiders try to master piece by piece growing their mastery over the force. The Darksider is simply totally adicted to the Force. Why do so many fallen lightsiders corrupt in such a grave manner? I belive it is the absolute turnaround of any of what they've learned about handling the force. By that they consume everything faster and tap more vicios into the Force. The nature of the Dark Side is thatfore not the Dark Side, but the ideology how to tap into the Force itself.
  16. it is simply incomplete. At the latest point we saw Darth Banes Force Spirit in TCW. Beside that there was Mother Thalme as well. And the first forcewielder who mastered this technique was also a darksider. Acutally most advanced force techniques either in fighting styles, focre based technologies or mastering the force itself were defined by darksiders. In that point of view Yoda is quite right, the Dark Side is not stronger but faster.
  17. Who I'd like to be? Most likely a Sith force savant. And most likely a Revanite and socalled grey Jedi and lightsided wannabe Sith slayer. Simply because they are weak, pervert any teaching of the force, have no real understanding of it (like mixing beer and vine and calling it the best drink they ever had) and are meaningless, lost in the search of greatness. However, who I might possibly be, most likely a simple clerk living on Corellia, beeing just a little gear, who would dream of beeing a Sith, who would ... yada-yada. Why would I like to be that Sith savant? Because I like power and I love the mainfold understanding of the Force. In truth there is no frontier beside the own mind. Why Sith in particular? Because beeing a Sith is the only way to become truly free of everything and becoming one with the force. But why would I end as a simple clerk on Corellia? because fate is a b**ch.
  18. ...so you landed in SWTOR, that super realistic game, huh?
  19. You are mistaken. WildStar was never designed to be mainstream. But Carbine was forced to reshape it. At this point WildStar is only a shade of itself. Agreed, a stable one, but only a shade in game and playthrough design. The publisher got greedy and paired with all the release bugs the doomed scenario was build. EQN got doomed the moment SOE was sold out. The new owner let the biggest part of the developer team go, asuring the developement won't stop and be delayed. ...Yea right, which bozo would belive that? A Alpha state game and over 3/4 of the staff is gone. Good luck keeping the development even going. Landmark did absolutely have nothign to do with this developemt. It was simply a valve for gaining money even if the game wasn't finished yet. IMHO most of the producers are idiots. They do not understand that only originality can be a big success. Just look around, only original titles do make big money, no mater the genre and medium. Clones do only bring mediocre money, but they will never be a absolute success. What are you talking about? Wildstar is similar in what wy to WOW? Palete of Color, ...and what else? Like, ...nothing else? OHH, LOOK A CLONE!!!!!!!! Neither the art design, nor the engine, and also not the gameplay, setting, etc. are even the slightest comparable to WOW. Yust play that freaking game and you'll get the idea by yourself. And IF you really want to be correct, than you can say, yes the inner circle of Carbine is made of developers who splitted during WOW alpha from Blizzard. Their reason was, WOW did not went there, where they wanted it to be. Housing, costuming, fighting system, missiondesign, etc. They wanted to revolutionise the entire idea, but Blizzad had other plans. So they went away and founded Carbine. All of their basic ideas you can find in Wildstar. However it went from "revoulution" of the genre more to the slight "evolution".
  20. Even though, yo are masively overpowered during that time. The bad thing about this is, your enemies becomes weaker, even if you are bolstered down. That means, you do a FP you are bolstered to 65 and have asolutely no idea how your class is working in dangerous situations. And we see those bozos in any FP running like a beheaded chicken in any enemy group pulling those to the team members and wipeing regulary. Yes. With ease.
  21. BW did tweaked the level speed drmatically since Makeb. IMHO quite a sad decision, since we get the oportunity to boost our level speed by level speed packs. The result is we have to live with it. There is no posibility to slow down or hold on the leveling.
  22. Frankly I hope not. Or let's say, not for people who had not the legendary token. Especially when it comes to those particular two titles I want them to be earned, because those mean something. Any non force wielder in the Republic is calling a Jedi, Master Jedi, but no one would call any Sith "Darth". Having that title means something, it is more of a calling out. You wear this tile, you are on the top of the hacking order. You are the one who has to be fought. Having the oportunity to take this tile through buying does destroy the entire idea. Just earn the title. You don't want to play the entire story all over again, live with the loss of the title. You are no Darth. I even have my problem during the story of the Inquisitor, he is beein knighted by the others. Actually you do not get the title, you take it by yourself and call yourself in front of other Darth. it is all egocentric.Only later in the Rule ot Two times the Master knights the Apprentice Darth. But this is special because the Aprentice is one of a kind, and is well chosen. I also wounder when did that happen, that my Wrath went to Darth Wrath? Heck he never proclaimed himself, nor has he a political base of operation. His knighthood is Wrath of the Empire. He is one of his kind. he is that guy that gets to kill Darth's. It is more like a mockery to me, my Wrath wearing that title.
  23. Wildstar is quite special. it simply feels strange for an MMO. But I can asure you, it is a heeluva game, if you like your blood pumping through your veins similar to a egoshooter. You simply can't play this game just casually. And this is all about a working MMO. You don't have to need all your energy on ne thing, but just let it flow. SWTOR is doing by the way quite outstanding. The last I've read was, it is still nr. 2 on the MMO list and nr. 1 from the F2P MMO list. Sadly it lost it's momentun from the release of KotFE and never gained momentun from Star Wars Ep. 7. Two quite bovine decisions IMHO.
  24. Also mine. While the SW stats quite infantile, the further the story gets the more comlex, driven and personal motivated it gets. i would even say, it is way more personal than the Jedi Knight story.
  25. I totally have a hard time since KotFE not liking Vakorian. Bit he is no Palpatine to me. Totally subjective imression, since Star Wars was my first Sci Fi, and Sidious and Vader were also my first evil Wizzard and the Black Knight. They are my prototype to all that followed. Vitiate I lie mostly hof his duality beeing Valkorian, showing that "Spacehitler" has also a human face. The thing I like about Palpatine and Vitiate is, they are no personality clones of another. They are total different entities and both Imperators define the Sith codex in different ways. The "ultimate Freedom" is for both quite different. To answer the TE's question, who woud win. Sadly for me clearly Vitiate, because he is already on another step of reality. At this moment, you can't even kill him for good. Do I want him out of the head ot the Outlander? Depends of the toon I am playing. While my Wrath want him dead no matter the cost, my Inquisitor want to do to him the same he did to the other gosts he merged with. My jedi want to stop his doing (pretty much that Revan stuff), my Consular is a hipocrite and does not really know what to do with the power. He even thinks, he might use Valkorians powers for good. And the other non force sensitive classes don't even bother. They still fight the old war, just against another tyrant. For them the imminent threat comes from Arkann.
