  1. Ich kann mich dem nur anschließen. Für die Jenigen unter uns, welche nicht verstehen wieso das eingefügt wurde. Anscheinen argumentierten die Devs diese Dialogform als "back to the roots".
  2. There are actually 2 manifestation of the battle meditation. Both are known in the former SWEU now called Star Wars Legends. Those are not canon, so it is quite hard to say it there is exact the same thing that happens to Rey while she focuses. Second the battle meditation I already mentioned seen in the movies is the only we saw and it is canon. You may call it focus or what else not, but it is mentioned as battle meditation. What you think you saw in the duel between Quigon, Mace and Obi wan is not the difference of how the Dark Side/Light Side waits the next move but only Quigon taping into the force controlling his body, clearing his mind. Yes exact the same thing Yoda tries to each Luke on Dagobah. But Luke is not listening; he doesn’t tap into the force but only temper himself. I have another theory why Luke is on the Planet with the ancient Jedi temple. By the way it is not mentioned this might be Thython. First of all it doesn’t fit the galaxy map, not even the right quadrant. Anyway, my theory is he is in search of what he did wrong and what did the ancient Jedi did right. He is in search after the solution how to train Jedi and those have not to doubt themselves to fall to the Dark Side. This is one thing he never was taught. As for the "Avatar" theory, I also had exact the same first thought while listening to the video. nevertheless it might fit. And we have no idea if Dimatino and Koniezko or Lucas had this idea in t he first place. Keep in mind JJ only took already existent pieces of storylines which were already developed by Lucas arts and shaped those into an entire story. The whole Jacen, Jania Solo and Ben Skywalker story plot was never developed by Lucas arts but Timothy Zahn. The prime story ideas might be quite far off the stories we know from the SWL.
  3. Hy everyone, is there any possibility to highlight, or to change the color of the cursor in the game? Only the cursor! I am recently having more and more problems tracing the cursor and distinguish it from the background of the game. If there are some ingame options, could you help me where to find them? If there is a workaround I'd be glad to hear about. Thanks in regard.
  4. I didn't tought of that and at some point this would even make sense. In the TCW there is a episode plot where Obiwan Anakin and Ahsoka had a powerfull vision of the warden of the force, his silblins, the daughter who ist the incarnation of the light side and his son, the incarnation of the dark side. The warden tells Anakin that in order to keep the balance he has to become the new warden, but he won't. So the Chosen One doesn't fulfill his actual purpose. But does Anakin bring balance to the force as Darth Vader, as people like to see him? I am not quite sure. While during the Republic times there was clearly an inbalace in favor for the light side, he choped that down, and there was the Empire who fovoured the dark side. Then he destroyed the Sith and there was only one Jedi left. Again there was an imbalance. Let's assume the chosen one is not bound to one corporeal beeig but it is only a vergence who is been reborn over and over again to correct tne imbalance. Rey might be that new imbodiment and it would explain why she understood so fast the idea of the force. The cosen one is a prodigy in the use of the force. Her actions were raw but she had the right direction to use the force. -This might be the right answer also for the trinity of rise, fall and redemption. The chosen one could really be the Space Jesus profecys talked about.
  5. Oh, dear God anybody but not Shan/Revan anylonger. pleeeeze!!!! Second, where do you get the idea Snoke is Sith? By his dialoges he seem neither Sith nor a previous Jedi, but a Darksider with clearly other idology. And Kylo Ren is deifinetely not taught as a Sith aprentice. He behaves way to unstable. Sith are absolute driven. And they overcome fear with anger, he however is fullfiled with fear, as sensed by Ray and seen on the bridge where he kills Han. He want to overcome it by absolute decisions, but you can see his fear in any of his actions. I have no idea what he is, but he is clearly no Sith. Maybe that is the reason so many viewers interpret his actions as a emo Darth Vader wannabe. They do not behave at all the same. He is just terrified, while Vader was horrifing.
  6. I think she is mainly at same level apt as Obiwan. He was a total package, skilled in mind boostig, controlling and body boosting also levitating things. He also had visons. All of his shown force abilities we see in a raw form expresed by Ray. I truly do not belive she has abilities like Star Wars Legends Jedi/Sith. Neither in the movies, nor in the Canon Books and Comics and also not in the cartoons there was battle meditation at a greater scale, but only on bolstering the very own senses and reflexes. We see this on QuiGon while fighting Darth Maul, Yoda vs. Tyrannus, etc. This kind of force ability she used during the duel. But are we going to see diferent exressions of the Force? I hope so. The coolest force experssions were by Kylo Ren holding up blasterfires, blocking peoples movement, probing or disabeling minds. Those are only expressions of the force. So, how far can a foceuser go? Yoda and Palpatine already gave the answer to that. The Force is mainfold. And by that, everything that a forceuser want to express with the force could be possible. ...Or in other words the Force can do what the author or the director want and can be deivered by the CGI.
  7. I've read a lot "wrong" interpretations about the lightsaber duell and I want to say something about, people seem to oversee: Keep in mind Kylo Ren was, IF, taught by a Jedi who also never mastered any of the swordfighting techniques. So he is the aprentice of a bad swordfighter. Luke didn't won the Duell vs Darth Vader because of his skill, but because of his rage and the conflict in Vaders mind. Kylo has clearly no finese in any swordfightig. You can tell by his movements. He uses his lightsword more like a bat, or a mace rather than a lightsword. Fynn was as a Stormtrooper, trained also in melee combat, since John Bojega explained in one of his interviews the Stormtroopers of the First order were trained to hold their ground against a Jedi. ...Well acutally the only Jedi left. Do not expect them to keep up with the last Republic Jedi, because they can't keep up with trained Jedi like Mace Windu or Kit Fisto, or Ahsoka Thano, a.s.f. This is the reason Fynn could even hold as a non forcesensitive(-awakened?) against Kylo Ren. Kylo's fightig style is poodo. He is just a Neanderthal swinging his club. As for Ray, the Force seems extreemly strong with her and also her interpretation and understanding. Remember the dialogues on Dagobah between Yoda and Luke, where Luke had limitations to understand how far he could go with the Force. Ray however just tried. The first time she tried mindtrick and worked. The second time she tried force agility and worked. The third time she tried force battlemeditation and it worked. It was nothing taught but intuition. Her powers are raw. This kind of force user with no selfminded limitations when it clashes with another foceuster who limits himself through emotion can do things Ray did during the duel. Her movement was raw, but you could see it was driven entirely by the force. She moved kind a Jedi/Sith but was lacking of trained techniques. And also NO, she could never handle herself against a trained forcesensitive swordsman. Again, Kylo swordstyle is poodo!
  8. 1. How do you rate the The Force Awakens out of ten and in relation to previous Star Wars movies? 7/10 Even as I liked the new cast and it grew on me during the moveie, somehow the EP./ reminded me of the loveless build Terminator 3 had. Don't know why. JJ Abrams pput a hard work in it though it felt somehow empty. 2. Who is your favourite (new) character so far and why? I can't say it was only one, because I loved the teamwork between Fynn and Ray. They were great. 3. Who is your least favourite (new) character so far and why? New caracter? I was diaspointed by no new character. They all had their parts and shined throug good acting by the actors. 4. Out of the returning Original Trilogy cast, who gave the best performance? Sadly I have to give any cudos to Han. Harrison Ford did a greta work. I would go so far to say this was his best work for Star Wars. While I always hated "the guy who got the Princess" this time I simathised with him a lot. But I wasn't sad when he died. Ford wished it already for EP.5. Now everything came togeter and I think it felt fit how it went. 5. What was the most awesome/epic moment for you in the movie? The duel between Fynn/Ray and Kaylo. It was simply brutal. 6. What as the funniest moment for you in the movie? Ray and Fynn and The "OK" monent of BB-8. 7. Do you think Rey might be a descendant from the Skywalker line, and if so is she Luke or Leia's daughter? I have no idea, and actually I don't care. The protagonist can easyly stand for its own by now. Ray is by far the most beloved protagonist in the entire movie. 8. The death of Han Solo, your thoughts? Should he have died, should it have been done differently? "As planned" and yes it was ok with me. 9. How do you rate the lightsaber duel out of ten and in relation to previous lightsaber duels? Greedy brutal fight between 3 people who thinks the same as Zorro 2.0, "The pointiy thing goes into the enemy" 10. How to you rate the film score out of ten and in relation to scores from the previous movies? And if you have a favourite soundtrack/theme, which was it? it had a distinct score? 1/10 - Any Star Wars Epsiode had its very distinct score beside that one and I don't liked this. 11. If you could change one thing with the movie, what would it be? Give the movie a distinct score! 12. Finn is featured wielding a lightsaber in the film and in promotional material, but he is never actually depicted using the Force. Do you think he is Force sensitive? I would not be sad if he would or would not be force sensitve. John Boiega did a great work. Fynn dosn't have to be forcesensite to be cool. Keep in mind, Han Solo is one of the most beloved protagonists ever, and he is not force Sensitve.
  9. No, the game is far from being dead. But it is at the moment extremly anoying through shortsighted metadesigndecisions, massive bugs and grindfest at endgamecontent. That's the reason you may read so many rant treads here in the forums.
  10. This post pretty much explain the experince we have with the NPC CC's. The worse thing is, their CC's always look better than my SW CC. I wanna kick them also to hell, or at least in the guts. Heck, I'ma freaking gretty Jedaikilla and I only "daisypush them a bit"! Dang, I'm dangeros watch out ... /irony Now fun aside, beeing a melee class is even worse, because you are always in the range of the most NPC's to trip you. The ranged CC gets you, the melee CC is getting you. Whatever you do, you get CC'd and you can't use any interrupt, because they are instant. At PVP that's life, but in PVE this is poodo and only frustrating. I'ts not like they'd even had a chance or the fight is getting more interesting. I'ts simly a pain in the arse.
  11. I totally agree on all terms the OP wrote down.
  12. Your thoughts seem legit, since the MMO genre seems to outrum itself int he western hemisphere. Less and less people are introduced to MMO's and the big MMO projects have been stopped. Only Asian based developers produce MMO's specialised for Asian markets. I'm thinking exactly the same. No matter what goes, SWTOR has to stay online for some time to be melked out by EA. And as we know, they are going to melk absolutley everything out of the game. So no worries, SWTOR will be at least for the next 5 years online. Or in other words, it it is extremly uprobable that ther will be a new Star Wars MMO in the near future. From the money earning point is is way harder to do a MMO, than doing somethign else with the franchise. Jus look around and see what we can buy with the Star Wars brand. Heck, even oranges! Why would people have to invest in such big productions to gain slow money, when they can sell anything wit the Star Wars brand with ease. Don't get me wrong: I am not talking about fan service at all. Because EA is anything but a fan service company. They couldn't care less if the brand is Harry Potter, Tarzan or Star Wars. As long as it sells it is worth inversting in. But fan services are special and do not sell well. So, as more complex a product goes, the more expensive it gets. Well on this we totally disagree! I mean, we should be very critical with any decisions BioWare is putting into the game and into their support for this game. If we don't EA will let them only do the cheapest way. A satisfied customer is a customer who mostly dosn't want more but is willing to pay more for the same product. So, definetely no! We have to remain critical in order to get better support and a better product. Hod do you have in mind this might work with the actual state of the game? ...where newbs have no idea what a tank or a healer is, what their class is actually doing, and what the difference between a tactical Fpashpoint and a trinity group design is. BW crippeld the game, which was working fine for newbs, as well for elder players. They "fixed" something that wasn't broken and even worked fine. And now we can't help each other Again, staing critical is a good thing. Critique is neither positive nor negative. But ranting on something, just for the sake of producing hot air is pointless. The thing is, at this state the game has more issues than things to be woth mentioned positively. This is making me personally sad, knowing this was once the developing company of so many great games.
  13. Sadly as nice and immerisve KotFE is, as rigid it is. IMHO Kofte is the most rigid expansion for SWTOR. Any of our choiches of any kind have absolutely no effect on the scripted outcome. "Choices" my arse, BW. This was the biggest bantha poodo I've ever read from you.
  14. Malgus vs Marr I always had the impression Marr is the reliable counterpart of Malgus for storyplot reasons. Or let's call him the good twin. Both are quite potent in the force, both are strongwilled, very skilled swordfighters, intelligent leaders and charismatic. So, who would win? Well if both are actually the same coin but different sides of it I think this would quite go on Pat. I'd go however for Malgus for obvious reasons. His story is already well known and most of us liked him a lot. Beside that he was the face of Sith empire, since SWTOR release. Malgus vs. Satele Well this is actually a hard one. While Satele has undoubtfull the greater understanding of the force, Malgus is clearly the better fighter and he knows how to use all of his skills. But let's assume ther would be no disturbances during their duell. Who would win? I could only answer subjectively. We all can only answer this extremely subjecitve. There are people who like Satele and would say, she will clearly have the upper hand. Other who dislike her or like Malgus more, would favour him. I'd go for Malgus, for several reasons. He uses basic swordfightig techniques, and can rely on well designed fighting styles. Also his use of the force is limited to the most usefull features. Hes entire style is compact and greedy. Satele's entire skills are for my understanding to much of a showoff, and this isn't helpfull in a dogfight with such a fighter as Malgus. Let's say, for the better understanding they are swords. Malgus is a broadword while Satele is a Rapier. Who would win? Depends of who would impose its style. If the Broadsword gets a direct hit on the Rapier, the Rapier will break. How could a Rapier damage the Boradsword, .. by poking it? It wouldn't be very effective. How powerfull is Malgus? I assume on the identical powerlevel of Darth Marr. But do we speak of skill level as well? Keep in mind, Darth Vader was ultimate raw power, still he had less kowledge of the Force as Darth Sidious. So, what is the right choiche to gain the upper hand? Knowledge and understanding vs raw power? Actually this question works as well for the "Malgus vs Satele" fight.
  15. I wonder how Bio earned your trust with the recent events. No, ...really, I mean it. How?! If BioWare would be a supermarket you are buying all your stuff from it and half of the goods are broken, you wouldn't go buy there for a time. What is different with the service of a software company? We are here to gain a service. We pay for a service. If the service is broken, why do we throw the money out of the window? I simply see no good reason. I simply can't! BW is changing devs like hoes their underwear. How can we sympathise with the team in the first place? Major bugs are not fixed. The timetable of release is mostly delayed all the time, and most of the time BW doesn't listen to the community. -The OT's post will remain unheared by the devs. Now you might wonder, why I write this but am still in the game. Well, actually I am not "in" the game for some time. Soon my monthly subcription will go off and frankly I won't resubscribe until Chapter 10. The reason ist partially similar to the reasons of the OT. But beside that it buggers me quite BW is not fixing the real problems in the game. Aside from grindig and no new content there are tons of tons of bugs who are robbing my last nerves.
  16. Yes you are right, BW tries to make us do stuff in order to move on with the story. That Pierce/Driod PVP or the Doc Rakgul whatshisname Rakgul event. Or the most prominent Starfortress. Even the class story works that way and stays contrary to the MMO features. Those are classic things a SoloRPG would have. "Do stuff in order to move on, or the game is over" And we all see how well recieved this is. *cough-Starfortres* /irony So, am I wrong? In the contrary. We see the imput live on any server of SWTOR. By the way I never talked about there are no soloplots in SWTOR. If some MMO has the strongest Soloplots anc content it is SWTOR.
  17. What you want here is classical Solo RPG. MMO's doesn't work that way well. As seen a lot of MMO player in here are extremly disapointed in KotFE, exactly for this reason. I belive, this developemt could kill any MMO game, if it is changed to that. I for one never liked in a game beeing pulled out of my GUI enviroment. That means I never liked using vehicles in any PC game. When you mount such a thing, there is nothing left from the class and toon you actually want to play. Or in other words, If I want to play a Jedi, I play a Jedi and not a Jedi steering a tank. Because steering a tank is not playing as a Jedi at all. Thatfore those mechanics are missing my entire interest. At least I do not like beeing forced to do stuff I don't like in an MMO. And actually this is all about an MMO. You do stuff you like. If you want PVP, do it, you want PVE, do it. Ops, or what else not, you can. If this freedom is been taken away from the classical MMO player, they won't play the game at all. And frankly the majority in SWTOR is build by the classical MMO interested people. IMHO SWTOR was a failed experiment trying to mix strong storytelling elements from SoloRPG with MMOG. They do not fit entirely together. Even the game is fun, the player always have to devide between the two major features, story and MMO. What we find in here is a community which is acutally build through 2 different motivations: old KotoR fans and MMO players. Sometime their interests mix, but not always. The outcome is always a balacing problem for content. BW add sologameplay the MMO players will get loud. BW adds MMO stuff, the solo players will get loud. SWTOR should've been designed from the start differently to make it work. I mostly think at the idea of Everquest Next. This in some degree would have worked with the main idea of SWTOR extremly fine. ...But we have here what we have and we are bound to it if we want to play the game. That's by the way exactly what I've written before in other words. Why things won't happen in here. Simple said, it's because BW dug to deep and locked themselves on a stif path.
  18. The sollution to all this is simple, because it was already in there prior to 3.0. Damphen the leveling exerience to pre 3.0. If people want to level fast, they already have the levelbooster. Do reshape the missions the way they were. By that people are forced to learn their class and behave proplery for it. At the moment it is a real mess. people in here are absolutely right. It's not only that newbys have no clue, they don't get the chance to learn what the class and specc is actually doing. Why did BW changed all this in the first place anyway? It's like reinventing the wheel by cutting off the circle and replacing it with a hooverboard. And after that they are suprised people don't know how to change tires anylonger. ...and don't you even start arguing "can't force people to play, blabla". What the heck are we playing here? Who gets first to level cap or a freakin neverending MMO?`If you want to play from start at max level, don't wonder you don't have much content to play in an MMO.
  19. We already got that, but was redesigned with leggins. Now we have at least 3 different miniskirts with leggings and only the Naga Shadow leather miniskirt without leggings. Why BW redesigned the one without, I have no idea. And no, it was not because PEGI12! We can gain this from the social broker on Nar Saddaa. On condition beeing Social level 3. Buy Thexann's armor, buy white/white colour use on chestpiece. Tada! Yes please!
  20. Fraknly I give a poodo about "rare" Cartel market item. If I like it, I want the option to buy the item, no matter what socalled rank it has. To be blunt, those ranks are only in there to make us throw more creds into the GMP. This socalled rares, aren't rare at all and only a small part of the player want a full CMItems collection. I for one am not part of it and simply want some items and suites I like. For me it is like beeing punished for wanting to throw money at BioWare.
  21. Actually Cookies are only for Darksiders. You are a mediocre, you get crubs at best. And yes, Baras that fatzo ate them all. Since KotfE anyone gets cookies anylonger. Everybody has to get its Repubic field rations. Darn you Saresh! Today I'm going to eat Twi'lek seafood! But back on topic. Indeed, the Trooper has the most disapointing storyoutcome in SWTOR IMHO. ...and the most boring storyplot also. But just my 50 cent. You don't have to share this opinion. Come to the Dark Side, we got seafood!
  22. Pixie cut for females. Combed back, long hair for females. etc.
  23. Who was rude in the first place? Why did you came onto me just for beeing honest and explainig why some of your ideas are simply not possible in the game? It's not like those requests you posted were the first ever posted. People wanted those I comented since the release of SWTOR. The truth is, I liked the suggestions you recently made already 2 years ago, and I was one of the people back then to post them also. The thing is I got my informations and realised why this is not going to be even vaulated by the devs. Posting stuff, you like to see is more than ok, but coming on people who are just explaining things is not.
  24. You're right, why are we even trying having a conversation when you simply WANT things; Period. For the others, who might want to know why do I have enough of Revan: His story should've ended with KotoR. His Epilogue should be in KotoR 2 where the exiled serched after him. KotoR should be the Prologue to OUR story, we play here as "The Cosen One". By then it would be absolute perfect and worth playing all of the three games, buildig a history and a complex storyplot. But in SWTOR it is not anylonger Revans story and I have real issues having him over and over and over, and over and freaking over again cutting through (please insert class) path. Again, it is NOT his story anylonger. And I feel kind of disturbed the fact, that I play a prodigy at what the toon can do, but Revan shows me I'm nothing more than a wet dick. Yeah, I now I got at the end quite polemic, but I simply can't stand Revan anylonger. From Kotor 1 beloved protagonist to feaking I want him gone and forgotten during one game. This is really sad about how BW handled a great protagonist as a melking cow until fans hate him. They should let him be a great memory. And as for the Yavin plot. At the time of SoR he was only the Dark embodyment of himself. While he fused with his Light Side he found finally peace and balance and passed totally into the Force. And (hopefully) his story finally got to a end. Even if it was a pain in the bottom.
  25. Sadly this will never happen because of the huge amount of work. The entire Story fo those classes has to be rewritten and adding those classes to the other faction means, they have to generate entire new class stories. This would be at least a addon of its own. This also is a nice idea, but sadly the developing path here is, by streaming up the attributes. By now we lost many speical needed attributes and possible damage kinds. This will definetely never come. Still sad. I liked the cristals from TFU and their influence over your forces and lightsaber damage. Since Hero Engine is a instace based build, you can't have this feature at all. The only thing that might be possible, would be similar to STO subspace map. And this particular feature would be boring as heck. Oh pease, enough with Revan! We got it, people liked him, but just let the man rest in pieces. This is actually a hard one. Until KoftE the game is devided through the core between the factions. It is at the moment way more complicated to "fix" this feature.
