  1. As long as DX9 ist stil suported by MS, BioWare and EA will do absolutely nothing to change the engine. By changing the engine I mean change the design of the engine. Changing an entire engine is quite the task. The wisest solution is to upgrade it like Blizzard did with the Warcraft engine and CCP with the EVE engine. Frankly, changing the entire game engine is at a similar on pair developement level as developing an entinre new game. Every interfaces in the game has to be redesigned to fit the existing material to the new engine. Every balance changes has to be modified for the engine as well and the whole balacing starts with the new engine from begining. It will not only take a lot of work to be done, but it'll cost a lot as well. ...And we're talking here about EA, so yeah, there is maybe one in a million chance and only if the CEO and the entire board are stoned by the time for this kind of decision. Beside that I am not quite sure the (once) Hero engine, now a derivate from it for SWTOR is upgradeable at this degree. I am not sure, what BW stripped and altered in it. Comparing the Hero Engine to the SWTOR derivate I strongly have the impression due to the changes the engine went slow and rigid. Thatfore the changes have to be masive by now.
  2. Those two species I'd love to see in the game, sadly they are not distinct enough to make it as playable races. Just a wild guess, but a hard one, since BW looks for every species beeing quite recognisable. Pantoran look briefly like better Chiss, and Zeltron like the prettier Sith Pureblood. But if there is even the slightest chance to get them, I'd be one to buy both races.
  3. Would you kindly not insult the snail and the rock?
  4. You both got me wrong. I did not mean "I have the bug", but the fact, you max at some point your companion while summoned by the Odessen terminal, when he is been used as a protagonist in some chapter and later rejoin your toon, the companion has to remain at the same affection you reached before. Some pople here explained, those toons, who were maxed out, were down to 10 after rejoining. This is not normal, and this is the bug.
  5. This is not correct. It has to be a bug. Since the release of KotFE my main companion was Vette. I summoined her by the terminam on the Odessen operation base, got her to 49 until the last chapter. The she was gone and after the chapter, when she rejoined, she remained still 49.
  6. There is a workaround for this bug. The bug is only generated, when you change the race AND chose some of the new customisations. Like pixiecut, platin blond, white eyes. The solution is, chose every change you want but not hair, haircolor and eyes. Aftr the game changes your avatars apperarance use the editor again and change those 3 customisations the way you want. The bad thing about this is, it'll cost you more CP. I know this solution from my own experience. Happened to me and tried it by myself.
  7. Me want! me want as much as cookies!
  8. Yes, exactly the kissing thing is the reason we have blue humans, red humans, green, tentacle head humans, etc. I can't rember wich dev once said during an interview but his exact words were "who want to kiss a non human anyway" refferring to alien species in SWTOR. The definition for BW still remains: it has to have a human face for human expresion, or it won't make it at all as a playable race. It has nothing to do about the opinion the playerbase have, but the decision made by the developers. Thatfore I simply can't understand why people argue here about "humanoid" or not. This therm was put by the devs, why some species would never be playable in SWTOR, even if per se the definition used is flawed. Personally I couldn't care less about the romances in here. Most of the romanceable companions are jerks anyway. So that "kissy thing" wouldn't bother me not even the slightest. After all, in my age I've seen way stranger thigs in movies and games, than a Rodian kissing a human. From my perspective, BW could integrate any player wished playable race. From BW's perspective this would mean earning more money. But this is entirely not our decision to take.
  9. Well, actually SWTOR is so far past the Star Wars movies, that ic at the same level as our ancient history "canon" to our timeline in reality. or in other words, for the time +-0 BbY it is nothing more than mere legends. Could have happened as in the KotOR time or at some level. Same as, "Was Achiles a demigod and was he killed by a Arrow in his Achilles tendon?";)
  10. It's not about him being not funny, it's about BW breaking the story with this forced decission. It is not why, but how he was added to the BH's rooster. He totally fits in, but after he let the BH chase him like Jerry tasks Tom, you freakin wanna kill him most painfully as possible. This is IMHO bad writing. At least he and the BH should get during the wildhunt on some common ground, get to respect and sympathize. But none of this is happening. Only after that you learn to know him and at some point the sympathy could grow. But definetely not if you still hold a grudge against him. ... Like I did, during my BH playtime.
  11. Dang it! I knew it! But as my main, the Wrath, I decided to take the right choice in order to win. ...Now I won only Baloonium. That bich is still alive and I can't get rid of her. Bantha poodo! That is a thing I totally dislike in a game. Having to decide but can't have the possibility to fix this. I still think my decision as the Wrath was the right one. Jorgan would've been gone after her anyway. At least we got that datacore. But because of her incompetence and solo thing, she blew it. If we had now the choice, I would cut her in half right after the debriefing. Still didn't changed my mind about her and most likely I won't ever. Jorgan I understand. He cares to much, and that makes him vunerable and his tactica are based on that. He is simply the wrong guy for the wrong task. As for Gault, would I kill him? Really depends of the class and the toon I am playing. As my main, I have no quirrels with him. I acutally am happy he is Vettes partner and he kept her alive. As the BH I would've put a bullet into his head right after the debriefing. As the Agent I would've put some watchdogs on his path. He's IMHO way more dangerous o my men than Kalyo.
  12. Why the bad blood? I for one could live with less "story" when I have to outlive the story of a companion I simply can't rely on. I can live quite well with less story, when it comes to dispicable companions. If I don't want them, then I am quite OK not wanting to learn anything about them. As for "drastic outcome": What did Kalyo or Jorgen get on the table since KotfE? Kalyo made us do things, we didn't care at least. She is a terrorist in my eyes. The Outlander is a freedomfighter. There is a line between the two. And Jorgan is the same d**khead, he was during the soldier story. Losing his men during the last chapter is typical for his incompetence. Both costed the Outlander only ressoruces, but they had little to fill the gaps. I for one could live quite well without those 2 bozos!
  13. Not having a past between the Wrath and Gault, I could live with that slymo, but I am totally at your thouts when I'll have to play the same Episode wit my Bountyhunter. As a Bountyhunter, I wanna ut a bullet into his head, PERIOD! I totally understand, not all of us feel the same about our companions, BW should really add the live/die option when we meet them again. I have by now several companions I am not willing to add into my rooster: Gault, Kalyo, Jorgan, Xalek, Skadge, Quinn, etc. And to be true, I'd rather like to throw them through a airlock.
  14. Hi, I am acutally upset about the fact, that BW did again some boring instanced FP's where we can't select the LFG for. Really? How clear has to be the statement from the community about this? Rght a month after the release of KotFE most of the endcap players did not went to Starfortresss anylonger. Nobody was searching, no newbs went there. And if, than only for the rounds they have to take. What is the reaction from BW? "Oh, wow, in our mind this was such a success! let's do it again!" The heck with cheese on it, at least integrate the hardmode from Starfortress and Arena into LFG! Give those people who want now and then the option to do them in a group.
  15. I tried to change my Ratataki to a Cyborg. Your explained error could be indeed the same as generated by me, while I was trying to select the orange eyes. I'd give it another try without those. Let's see it this time the change is going to fit. Thanks for the tip.
  16. That's actually a big problem, since most of the ending class missions happen on very low level planets. Even if those missions were pre 4.0 ok to fulfill, they were at least some demanding. But since the level adjustmet it went ridiculous easy. it went from, "the fight of the alts life" to not even close to a challange. This is by now quite the problem, because it is breaking the immersion dramatically for any class story. I wouldn't be so upset fo it, if SWTOR was not all about the story. By the way IMHO the Jedi Knight storyplot is for me not the best, but clearly the main storyplot. During the second part it looses a lot of momentum. Especially when you are freed from the Emperors gasp. The JK does the same thing as before, so as if nothing ever happened. There is no dramatics. The Emperor should be his arch enemy, however in the story it is mere just another villian to be pursued. Playing the Sith Warrior, his relationship to the Emperor gets extremly personal at a later point. I mostly had the impression, that any major adversary was quite intimate for the SW. Clearly I am favorising thatfore the SW's storyline. The biggest difference I felt during the two storyplots was, while the JK starts strong and interesting but later on loose momentum, the SW starts infantile but later in his story builds a lot of emotional momentum.
  17. Tried sevral times to change one of my alts. Any time I got the cryptic error "a error has occured during ..." What dod ou broke now BW?!
  18. I disagree. The problem is not the design of the Flashpoint, but the inexstend learning curve from players for the class they are plaing and the "Nanny" companions, who will hardly let them get in trouble in the solo mode. Most players never realised that tacticals can be dangerous if they behave like in a solo mission. Thatfore tacticals are all but a good experience for learning how to work in a team with the actual class. This means, Tacticals feel harder, because the team merbers do not work together but zerg around.
@jedi_meister Was ist dein Problem?
  20. And this is exactly the point! Marr war definetely not a normal Sith. He didn't narrowed his potential only by grief. He had a task he wanted to fulfill. Secure the Empire no matter the cost. Same task wanted also Jadus and Malgus. "Make the Empire great again" ...'but definetely not building a wall to Spacemexico' All 3 were outstanding personas. All 3 would work at best if they enforce the Rule of One, because any other reign would determine their downfall. ...what we actually saw durng the storyplot.
  21. Hi there, I realised some helmets do scramble the voice through their voicemodulators more or less. I wonder now, is ther a list for wich helmed does which scrambling? ((Pinpointed asked, I am searching for a headpiece like the breather similar to the one Malgus or the one for Sith Warriror, that does scramble the voice the most.))
  22. For them working together you are absolutely right. It won't work at all. For each of them each and everyone in particular as a dictator (not the title but the status), I for one belive it would have been worked. Each of them could have taken the Sith Empire focusing on one direction. This is what it takes for the Empire to win. Only one clear path. The Sith Empire was lost the moment Vititate realised this insignificant feuds between the Sith are what is killing the Empire from inside. No wonder he sees the Sith Empire as a defective experiment. The reason why I think the Sith Empire is superior to the Republic is because of its entire design. Militaristic, obeying, and cunning to the core against huge bureaucracy, pluralism and corruption. But its major flaw are the Sith themselfes. Only a strong hand that would put the Sith in order could unleash the Sith Empires full potential. But this can not happen because of the nature of the Sith order.
  23. What does this have to do with "the right guy on top". Nothing! You could put the smartest strategist in Hitlers place and he couldn't win against Soviet Russia. To many ressources, to big. No leading head from the Empire ever wanted to conquer the Republic only by open war. Those 3 Sith knew this quite well. Marr was the ultimate shield for the Empire. Malgus was the mastermind to cripple the Republic and Jadus was the strategist of the Empire. Simple put Shield, Sword, Mind. All 3 are fit to protect the Sith Empire and to strike against the Eternal Empire. All of them were fit to hold the Sith Empire up agaist the Republic.
