  1. The next throw has the same odds as the previous rolls had. Those odds for a normal coin are generally close to 50:50. However, if there have been 100 consecutive heads, then there is reason to believe that the odds for this particular coin might not be 50:50. If there were 100 consecutive heads, would you bet even odds on tails for the next throw?
  2. Depending how populated the planet is, you should be able to find Republic players easily enough by following the road into their questing area. It is usually a road that leads off your map to an area where no quests are sending you. Due to population imbalance, it may be easier for Republic players to find Imperial players than the other way around. Bonus quest series on shared planets send you to an area shared by both factions.
  3. With the side speeders apparently going away, it will be a lot harder to hold 3 turrets at once for any length of time. So if you 3-cap, don't expect to hold it.
  4. I'm with you. "end-game" MMO play is not really appealing to me at all.
  5. By "uncrossable barriers", you mean "roads"? Almost all faction questing areas (where they exist on the same planet) are connected to each other by road, usually several of them.
  6. I'm on an RP-PVP server and haven't seen any trash talk and I don't particularly miss it. Perhaps this is more of a problem on non-PVP or non-RP servers?
  7. They could just drop a copy of the Voidstar or Esseles into the fleet and make it open-PVP like the PVP area on Tatooine. If PVP on the actual fleet is limited for performance reasons, perhaps a PVP station somewhere that people could fly to? In either case, add a "non-PVP" entrance to an observation area that overlooks the main battle area(s).

    Guard needs a counter

I'm not saying that there should be a "guard negater", but if they did add one, what if it was a channeled ability? It would be negated as long as the channel was kept up, allowing the guarder to interrupt it. Or they could add it to the Sith "choke" ability (choking a vanguard would cancel any guarding while being choked), which seems to be a relatively useless skill from what I've seen (I am stunned but don't really take any damage for that time).
  9. While somewhat annoying, you usually only head back to the capital between planets. I usually need to stop back at the GTN by then in any case, and there is a handy one on the way to the General's office. What I would like to see is a side door than opens into the Senate building closer to the General's office so you don't need to run through the building foyer.
  10. I don't think endurance is very important, beyond ensuring she has enough health to survive when she draws the attention of angry mobs until you have a chance to do something about it. No matter what gear you use, you will end up with endurance, so I would simply not prioritise it.
  11. I think you need to go back to the capital to get the promotion in person (just follow your class quest instructions).
  12. Are gunnery commandos more common than assault commandos?
  13. There are no pet classes in this game. However, all the content in the game is group content, so they provided an optional group for you if you don't want to group up with someone else.
  14. Getting yourself killed should disrupt the flow of a PVP match. If you don't want the flow to be disrupted, don't die.
  15. It will be a lot more difficult for one person to hold a turret by himself. If you die, there is nothing to stop the attackers from capping the node, since you can't come right back.
  16. I don't think I have any melee attacks. I mentioned Shockstrike because someone said that people that use Shockstrike are tanks, which isn't necessarily true.
  17. Perhaps he has burned through all his power/cooldowns healing you and has to stop? Adding +presence gear can make his heals bigger, for the times that he does heal.
  18. My Assault Specialist uses shockstrike often -- it hits for a lot and has a high chance of ending the HIB cooldown. You do have to be in melee range to use it though. Also, if I have Ion Cell turned on, rather than Plasma Cell, you might not catch on fire as often.
  19. I'm an Assault Vanguard, but I often use Ion Cell in PVP for the armor bonus and guard ability. I've always wondered what the point of that "choke" thing is that Sith use -- they don't seem to do any damage to me while it is underway. If they are "bleeding" me, it isn't enough to notice. Lightsabers, though -- they seem to hurt. I'd advise using one of those. Note that if I am in Ion Cell mode (which gives +50% bonus to armor), my DPS will be quite a bit less than if I use Plasma Cell (in which case I would be easier to kill). Having someone beat on the healer than I am guarding will bring down my health, and prevent them from healing me.... I have some talents that give my other main instant attacks a chance to cancel the HIB cooldown, and makes HIB give bonus ammo back. Also, most enemies will be burning when fighting me, so HIB is generally always available if not on CD.
  20. That's news to me. Explains why I have never managed to complete a pass. I don't play Huttball enough to get much practice (republic).
  21. While the two sides are generally separated, they overlap more once you are in your 40s. Even before that, you can easily find PVP if you wander into the enemy side (or one of them wanders into yours). Because the planets are level-separated, when you do run into an enemy player, he will generally be around your level. I haven't seen a lot of level 50s beating on low levels or anything like that. It can be fun to be deep in a dungeon and run into an enemy working on his own quests. It might lead to a fight or it might not. There isn't a lot of open-world PVP, but when it does happen it is usually pretty fun and not particularly disruptive to your questing. Worst case, you have to run back from the medical centre.
  22. There are a lot of combinations of rolls where they could end up evenly divided. For example, if there were 50 heads then 50 tails, or 50 tails followed by 50 heads. That's two examples. H-T-H-T-H-T-H-T-H-T, etc. is one more. There is only one combination of rolls that could result in 100 heads (heads every time).
  23. You can't rule out nefarious action if you aren't controlling the scenario. A streak of 7-8 "heads" is one thing, but if it stretches beyond 20 or 25, something suspicious is going on.
  24. On my server, there is always a very large crowd around the PVP mission terminal. Perhaps they are all shopping at the PVP Weapons Vendor, but I suspect not.
  25. This issue would only come up if there are two players of the same class in the group?
