    Still enjoying pvp

Amazingly, after the patch, we are still Qing and enjoying pvp matches. My daughter, brother, step son and family friend have been grouping and we really enjoy the matches. Win or lose. I'm a 47 vanguard and my daughter is lvl 28. She will only play class quests and pvp. The new war zone is similar to alderan, but we enjoy the new variety. Only complaint from daughter is the icons over our heads. As a healer, she was already getting pounced on, this just makes it faster. From what we can tell, the classes are still pretty well balanced and fun to play. We win some matches and we've lost some, but we still find great enjoyment out of playing. Wanted to thank the hard working employees at bioware for giving us hours of entertainment. You probably don't hear this much, but there are some customers enjoying the game, so thanks !!
  3. feature wasnt ready in their opinion. They tried to comp you with a free 30 days for your inconvenience. Don't like it, then leave, simple as that. read about 10 pages of entitlement and nearly lost my appetite. All the "unsubbed" commenters should just cancel their forum accounts too and go... have a great day.
  4. Hit the nail on the head !!! I think the reference that they don't want anymore PvP "explosions" is where something backfires like Ilum. Not real pvp explosions per se.
  5. I like it. Thanks for asking
  6. excellent vid !! really appreciate you guys taking time to put it together. Play trooper as well. May consider changing my armor after watching this
  7. I think it was a little OP in pve because of mob clusters. They are generally close enough that one volley hits three mobs and either kills them outright, or severly wounds leaving the engagement trivial. In pvp, I rarely if ever use it because no one is dumb enough to stand in the blast radius once the marker is on the ground. If they made the marker only visible to the person firing the mortor, then it would have better usability. You could still have some sort of animation when it goes off, but why the warning? Real mortors dont generally mark the ground before they hit. On a side note, the complaing for instant mortors was rediculous. Mortors arent direct fire and take some time from drop to hit. I still will use it as an opener for pvp, but rarely in pvp, so no biggie !!
  8. Awesome flick !!!! I would talk to casting about Satele too couldn't find a hot chick with a black belt??? just kidding, truly great short.
  9. I am so very tired of the useless complaints on the forums. Please enable a function where I can select to never view a post by a selected person. Like an in game ignore, but to allow me to find constructive and useful content on the forums, instead of the 98% of sniveling trash. btw, I really enjoy the game. Great job devs !!! (how long til some posters come in here complaining about something?)
  10. good, I guess no more posts from you. You can go rant the GW2 boards...
  11. 7 days of free game time = $15/4 = $3.75 x 3 friends = $11.25 Those of you that complain about your 15 bucks a month... here is free money. You can even tell all your "friends" to send their $3.75 back to you and it will subsidize your monthly bill. something for free....

    valor progression

the idea is that someone starting in pvp actually earns something as they go instead of grinding to 60 to get stuffages. I'm not looking for overpowering skill advances, but something to recognize intermediate achievements.

    valor progression

< Add rewards for gaining valor > We get new skills as we progress in level. We get new recipes as we advance in crafting I propose that as we advance in levels with valor that we get soem sort of incremental increase in something for pvp. I realize we get battlemaster gear as the end result, but I propose that perhaps we get some other tangible incremental effect as we grind warzones. minor increase in expertise some increase in base skills minor increase in run speed or minor resistance to stuns reduction in time between breakfree skills there are infinite ways to reward pvp progression.
  14. that was the first thing I thought of when I read this post as well !! All D&D began it's roots on the chance based system. It's how the DM could determine if you would win the fight or if the cave troll would bash your head in. now that we are on computers, people just expect everything to work. In reality, even high dollar factories have quality issues and scrappage. Intel has to scrap x% of wafers that don't meet spec. They don't complain about RNG. I agree that it would be nice to be "guaranteed" that RE would result in a blueprint after so many tries. Perhaps its RNG for the first four where there is a 25% change to RE. On the 5th try you get the schematic. Or some other set of numbers to balance the chance vs. the aggravation of 30 fails....
  15. OK, I have bought the following and wonder where I should spend incoming warfront comms. 1. all level 40 pvp gear 2. 1000 mercenary comms in the bank 3. level 42 and 46 pvp weapon 4. three level 46 weapons to pull expertise mods from 5. one level 50 bag I am currently level 40 and plan to buy a couple more 46 weapons to strip, but beyond that I am open to suggestions... med kits ? expertise stims ? other? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated...
  16. excellent guide. Thanks for taking time to screenshot and explain !!
  17. The funny thing is he didn't say that this skill would be instant. I will laugh my *** off if the put a delay in the bh animation to match ours! Mortars don't fire and land at the same time, btw
  18. Yeah, cause I know a lot of people left because mortar volley wasn't an instant ability and are waiting to resub once it's fixed...
  19. try to remember to use smoke grenade when there are a couple enemy in a pile. HIB is important...
  20. personnally guarantee, huh? you got a lot of friends...
  21. i was a chef in swg, but I didn't roll a cook in this one. oh snap...
  22. ok, so 20 of us are guarding a node and 100 imps come and attack. All we have to do is go to one of the other four points that are now left unguarded. Brilliant. I have to admit that was quite a comment from the lead pvp guy. I hope he either was hung-over, confused or under medication at the time. Perhaps he was just mugged in the parking lot prior to this appearance and was seriously distracted from the question at hand...
