  1. Death from Above is not really a melee channel and isn't required to be in a rotation so I didn't mention it. Maybe I should have been more specific, channeled abilities that are part of a spec's rotation should be castable on the move. I agree with your post and was about to come back and add those same exact suggestions but you did it before me.
  2. I have said this before in the past but I think it's worth mentioning again in a more general class thread. I think you guys should really consider making all the melee classes in the game that have a channel ability being able to channel their abilities while they move, it should be baseline for all melee classes (That includes things like Flame Thrower, Telekinetic Throw/Cascading Debris, Ravage, and Master Strike if the classes are melee advanced classes). That will go a long way to helping a lot of the melee dps issues that the game has right now. If you did that then changes to other abilities wouldn't matter as much if the spec relied on the channeled abilities as their main form of DPS.
  3. That is a player issue, not a class issue. Using a cc breaker on things you aren't supposed to is a player problem, not a class problem. In other words, anyone using their cc breaker on things like mezzes/sleeps/2 second stuns, etc.; shouldn't be claiming that a class has too many "Stuns". That really is a player issue more than anything else, people need to learn when to use their stun break. The Devs shouldn't have to cater to people that don't know how to play the game.
  4. I saw the livestream and you guys knowingly admit that you know that removing shootfirst will nerf Scoundrel/OP burst damage a bit more than you might possibly intend and your remedy will be to have backblast not go on CD when used from stealth but you're going to wait until a few months after 3.0 releases to change it. Why wait? Why would you want to alienate your playerbase and make a class suffer when you know that you can make the changes now? Do you want Scoundrel/OPs dpsers to not play the game anymore, do you really like losing money? That is my only gripe with these changes is that you guys openly admit that removing shootfirst will be a problem and that you have the solution but won't implement it until 3.0 releases (Most likely a few months down the line.).
  5. Scoundrels/OPs haven't had more than one stun for months, since they removed the stun component out of KO/Shootfirst Scoundrels/OPs haven't been able to stun someone more than once. I don't know what game you're playing or what version of SWTOR you're playing but it sure isn't the live version of SWTOR.
  6. If that were true, Operative DPS would have never been nerfed and it would actually be optimal in rated. So your point is invalidated.
  7. Nothing changed, it's just that HP went up, so it made TTK higher. DPS and Healing of classes stayed pretty much the same, the problem here now is that there's people running around with too much HP, change the HP values to be more like pre-2.0 values and the issue will be solved. The problem with doing that is that the Devs would also have to adjust pve encounters to make up for it.
  8. Healers aren't OPd, guard makes them seem OPd but that in itself is also not the problem. People need to learn to pressure the healer, then instantly switch to the tank, kill the tank, then proceed to kill the unguarded healer. The problem is the players, not the classes in question. People don't want to think to kill a target, they just want to kill, kill, kill and kill some more without effort or thinking involved. It has always been the DPSer mindset to nerf everything but DPS since the beginning of MMOs and I have been around for 16+ years playing MMOs. That mindset has to change and dps players have to get better mentally or this calling for unnecessary nerfs (To everything that isn't dps.) will never end.
  9. The problem isn't OP/Scoundrel healing being OPd, the problem is when they are guarded and terrible players don't notice that they are guarded so they keep going after the healer, when they should Focus Fire the tank (Which is usually in DPS mods in a premade so he'll die quick.), then the OP healer would die. There are too many bad dpsers in MMOs that always want to make killing everything easier, without having to think. Kill the tank and then proceed to kill the healer, it's that simple. People need to stop tunneling when they look at a healer and see if he's guarded, if he's guarded destroy his tank, then go after him. over 80% of the things that players cry nerf (Things like Smash spec, healers, etc. in this game are easy to deal with if you actually think.) for in MMOs are due to people not knowing how to deal with them, I have seen this trend in my 16 years of playing MMOs since 1997 UO.
  10. I don't get it, what are all the complaints about Powertechs/Vanguards being worthless in 2.0 based off? I have checked patch notes everywhere and I do not see any nerfs for the classes, so why are people claiming that they're worthless?
  11. No one is hurt by having respecs on the run, WOW already has a dual spec system, Rift goes even further by having more than just dual specs (They have multiple role switching.), so I still don't understand why we don't have dual specs, when they were promised to us months ago (Like a year ago in an upcoming patch.). I guess Bioware just forgot about this broken promise, since people stopped reminding them about it.
  12. This would be a non-issue if they actually implemented dual specs like they promised months ago, but we still don't have them yet.. What's so hard about implementing a dual spec system, so we can change specs on the run? WoW implemented it easily and so did Rift, so why hasn't Bioware been able to do it yet?
  13. Bioware likes to take the easy way out, haven't you noticed yet? They nerf global game mechanics without taking into consideration that some classes need those mechanics to be on par with other classes.
  14. TTK wouldn't be a problem if you guys didn't go out of your way to nerf healers in 1.2. You changed the way expertise scaled heals and nerfed healing classes in the same patch, that's what's causing all the issues. I can't believe you actually thought nerfing healing classes was a good idea with the changes to expertise in the same patch. Decreasing the ttk is never a good thing in MMOs, Warhammer learned that the hard way so they had to increase the ttk by a lot. Another thing you guys aren't factoring in with the ridiculous healing changes is rated warzones and what a coordinated team of players will be able to do, you're going to see the huge mistakes of nerfing healing once rated warzones come out.
  15. Wow, just wow, I don't think you should be posting on the forums, unless you want to piss off more customers. This is clearly a developer trolling, wth Bioware?
