I was really looking forward to the expansion then I hear this news. This seems like a bull***** excuse to save money on your part by closing our servers under the guise of helping us move to higher pop servers. NEWSFLASH! - We play on these servers because we want low pings! I and many I know played since BETA and moved from the Harbinger to Dalborra in the first place so we could have lovely local servers. Honestly most people currently on Dalborra are more than happy with the serer population at the moment. People wanted merges, not to be shafted into moving back to a server on the other side of the world. I play SWTOR specifically because it has local servers. When they were introduced we were blown away because it showed that a big US company actually gave a crap about our experience on the other side of the world. I guess that is no longer the case.

Agree a lot with this ^ I used to mainly just use the basic rotation of CS+CS+Project+Froce Breach However if you really pay attention to your procs and use Shadow Strike and Spinning strike when they are up you will boost your output significantly. Also have a number of relics available for different fights. Have a on-click power relic for burst fights like SOA or Kephess But if you want sustained DPS for other fights us one of the 33% passive relics to help out.

I'm and end game infiltration and I love it. Don't listen to the haters. I am one of (if not the) highest DPS player in my guild and and am always in demand for ops. Our insane burst DPS makes us invalauable in op fights with burst phases like SOA or Kephess. Play what you enjoy playing, your other options are tanking or DoT DPS, but if you like sneaking up behind stuff and unleashing all hell upon it then infiltration is a blast.

Tharan hands down for levelling. Not only does he heal like a boss but his holiday interupt/stun compliments your own arsenal of stuns/interupts perfectly. Though at endgame once you are geared well I would recomend Nadia for doing dailys etc. She will kill stuff twice as fast as you and Tharan with only minimal downtime for healing.

My gear is currently Rakata/Black Hole/ Campaign on my Infiltration Shadow and I'm at the point where I am considering forgoing the set bonus for augmented gear. However the second stalker set bonus that increases critical chance of clairvoyant strike by 15% seems pretty important to an infil shadow given our reliance on a high crit rate to activate our procs. Fully buffed my crit is currently at around 40% so diminishing returns have well and truly kicked in. So I was wondering if the 15% extra crit chance given by the set bonus is effected by diminishing returns or not? I allready have augs on my relic, main hand, head(black hole) and feet(campaign). Is it worth losing set bonus to swap it out for augmented gear on my bonus gear or not?

The whitest stuff ive seen is the Sage Rakata gear. But getting that would mean you would have to get the correct set for your spec aswell as the sage set and swap mods out. Meaning you have to get twice the gear from raids.

20% does not guarantee 1 in 5 crit. Every single time you RE the game rolls a 5 sided dice so to speak but this gets rolled every time and your success on one roll does not change your chances on the next roll. Random is random

Grade 8 box will get you a "Synthetic Energy Matrix" these are used to make campaign.black hole level gear and on my server retail on the GTN for 200K-350K credits.

I bought the a campaign relic with 200 daily comms and RE'd it first go. They are BoE and can be sold on the auction house. Problem is trying to find a market. Mats alone for relic will cost 1Mill-1.2Mill from the GTN on my server. So you want to sell it for around 1.5 (or 2 mill for an auged) to make it worth your time and effort. I have sold a few but it genrally takes me a few days of spamming trade chat to find someone with anough cash,

Artifice can make a bunch of cool looking orange sabers, however the best ones require 3 biometric crystal alloys. I have "truthseeker -auged" (double bladed) which has a sweet red/pink crystal in the middle.

I dont really bother making lightsabers as the non augmented versions simply dont sell as the market is flooded with them and the augmented versions dont really sell for enough to justify the cost and time. However if you care about looks the purchasable schematics like "Truthseeker" that require biometric crystal alloys look way cooler and may sell for quite a bit if you can find a market that cares about appearance. I make most of my money from artifice by selling crystals aswell as a campaign relic schematic i got from REing

I sell a lot of crystals and often run out of blue and red crystals. You should have plenty of yellow and orange as they are a byproduct of treasure hunting for curusca gems. I find buying them on the GTN is quite cost effective as using archaeology can be quite hit and miss. Also gather crystals while doing your dailies and you can get quite a few.

even so ^ i would still recomend a power relic over the alternatives, especially as you get to rakata and above level gearing you start craving power because your gear will be aove 35% crit/surge where diminishing returns kick in so stacking those stats becomes pointless and for an on-click relic power is the only really sensible choice as it doesnt suffer from DR. I have the campaign relic of boundless ages (augmented) and when using in burst phases you see some truly crazy crit numbers begin to fly.

I learned recipe for "Campaign Relic of Boundless Ages" first go when REing the daily com relic. Ive made about 7 of them since then, 2 of which have crited and gained an aug slot. it is definately possible.

I am infil shadow upheaval build and am one of the highest dps in my guild. (fairly casual guld just started but not finshed Denova HM) I currently have 3/5 rakata and roughly pump out 1200-1400 dps with little effort using a basic standard rotation of 2xCS + Project + force breach and of course using relics and procs when they are up.

The relic procs do not conflict with shadow techniques procs but will conflict with each other, so only have one of the proc relics and use either matrix cube or activatable relic in other slot.

Trying to work out what the best Relic would be for my character (infiltration shadow) but have some issues and questions I havnt been able to find answers to. Looking at the campaign relics available through dailys I am drawn to this one: Campaign Relic of Dark Radiance - On Hit: Damaging attacks have a 30% chance to deal 184 additional internal damage to the target. This effect can only occur once every 4.5 seconds, and shares this limit with similar damage-dealing effects. however does this conflict with my main ability Shadow Technique - Assumes a shadow technique, giving your attacks a 25% chance to deal 135 internal damage. This effect cannot occur more than once every 1.5 seconds. Requires a double-bladed lightsaber. Does not break Stealth. are these similar effects and will share a limit or does that just refer to similar relics? Also for my other relic I am torn between craftable (artifice) Rakata relics with power or crit? or should I be using : Matrix Cube M7-R3 Total Stats: Armor Rating 116 +50 Endurance +58 Willpower +24 Critical Rating I am mostly interested in PVE and currently am speced with a 2/31/8 upheaval build. Any advice? I have 200 daily comms waiting to be spent but dont want to waste them.

was wondering this myself as I got a drop of a relic with the same properties. Not sure if it would be a good combo or if it would hit the cap too easily. Seems like it would possibly be great in long ops fights in PVE giving more sustained damage instead of our trademark burst damage.

I recently started using my shadow for pvp (mostly pve player) but ive been doing supprisingly well and am often in the top 3 medal scorers in warzones (and only have 2 BM peices of gear at the moment). Yes you are squishy and thats fine. You are a hit and run player. Use forcespeed or stealth to catch a player buy suprise burn relics, cool downs, adrenals etc and destroy your prey before they know whats hit them. If you get in heat use cloak to disapear. Cloack is also usefull to lose your attackers target for a second. That second where they have to tab/click to get back on your target can mean the difference between life and death. use low slash and stun to impair your oponents movement as much as possible. Use stealth and cloak to find safe spots to quickly heal up before getting back into it. Avoid big groups with lots of full health players, you will die. Instead pick off healers on the edges and lure them out of the group. The exception to this is a big group with a load of players on half health or below. You can destroy a lot of players quickly in this situation. tl;dr : Burn relics/cool downs, disapear, heal up, repeat.

Tharan Cedrax is easily the best companion. Once i got him i leveled with him all the way to 50 and still use him for 50 dailys. Not only is he an excelent healer but his holiday move that stuns enemies compliments your arsenal of Mez's and stuns perfecty meaning enemies get paralised often during combat.

at Lvl 50 I am making around 1 mil credits per week with very little effort. sell the endgame +41 crystals. you can get 3 colour schematics red/blue/yellow in crit/power/end variants from the daily vedor and the pvp vendor. I am selling crystals ranging in price from $40k to $80k watch the market and find which colour/stat combo is missing or has fewer on the GTN. Makeand sell that, If there is only 1 or 2 of a colour listen on GTN for around $40k buy it and sell it for more. Im on a heavy load server but there still only seems to be 3 or 4 other names i see selling these all the time making it fairly easy to manipulate the market. Trying to crit and make augmented lightsabers is also worth a shot but ive had mixed luck with this. Some days I will crit 3/5 and sell for 150k each, other days I will craft 20 with no Aug
