  1. I too after being a subscriber since launch have just ended my subscription today. I loved the game when it first launched: the class stories were amazing, the combat was beautiful, and overall I had a wonderful time playing. Now I find myself dreading raid nights. I don't want to log into the game anymore, because frankly the moment I log in I am bombarded with spam, and to even get into content I enjoy I have to sometimes wait an hour or more to even play it. I play only healer and tank roles, mind you. SPAM - From the moment I log in, credit farmers on the fleet from multiple sites clog the already quiet chat (prime time during week MAYBE 80 people on fleet). So I take the first few moments of logging in to report spam, and ignore the user. EVERYDAY I have to do this. I have dabbled in other MMO's that within the first few months of launch take care of ridding their paying customers from these annoying spams. I am fed up with having to wait for BW to address this problem, and it is a problem! I can't speak for everyone, but this does ruin my gaming experience. BUGS- I used to enjoy raids back in the day. Like I said I have been playing since launch, but now I dread raid nights, because of the bugs I encounter every week. Every week we raid Ravagers (and ToS, but I am more frustrated with Rav) and Coratanni almost every week without fail since this ops was released resets forcing our raid to kill her multiple times or until we just give up for the night. QUE TIMES - Many people have left the game. I will not say the server is dead (I hate when people say that) but there is not enough activity to be able to get into flashpoints, gsf, operations, ranked warzones, etc. without having to wait a very long time. There are no cross server ques, which make the wait even longer, and impossible if you are not logged in during peak times. I spend some game nights spending most of my time waiting on fleet, hoping to get a pop. I pay a subscription monthly fee to wait to play? I have realized that is a WASTE of my money. I feel taken advantage of as a consumer. This is a service I pay for, many of you PAY for. If I feel like this service isn't worth the money I am paying it is my right as the consumer to voice why I am unhappy, because maybe my concerns will be heard and changes will be made to a VERY promising game. I am sad to go, but things will not be fixed as long as I (and other subscribers who have accepted this quality of service) dish out our money to them, essentially our consent that says these things are acceptable.
  2. I'll be attending under Juniatistock Excited for tonight!
  3. Good luck on finding a new home. Unfortunately my guild is not that far with progression yet, we only do classic ops at the moment. Hope you find something soon!!
  4. I play on Infinite Gate at the moment as an operative healer and I am usually top heals. Normally around 300k at most I have healed 500k. I am specced 31/3/7. As mentioned above in the longer post I follow most of those tactics on healing, I do have Kolto Infusion in my hotbar, but I never use it in PvP. Surgical Probe is amazing and I use it whenever I have a spare tactical advantage, I make sure I always have one TA up thats a bonus to our healing we can't afford to miss. I also make sure stim boost is ALWAYS active. As for survivability I think we are very hard to kill and have great defensive moves at our disposal. If melee is coming at me I debilitate him (I am specced into lethality where I gain a run boost after debilitate) and create a gap between them and slow them with our throwing knife attack. Usually they find it too much work to follow me after that and attack another player. If I am getting spiked hard I put up shield probe LOS them and heal myself up. If damage on myself doesn't let up I use evasion to take away DoT's on myself and any other tech effect and insta stealth away. That is my life saver, I'll position myself totally different and resume healing as normal. Also I think RN is great, if I have full energy I throw it down to give a nice healing boost to my team, and with full energy it regens pretty quickly after that especially if I follow with a quick Diagnotic Scan. I try to damage as well and throw poison dart around, and shiv people for the TA it gives me. I personally also enjoy cybertech and have made many perma bombs that are great in PvP. I have the fire DoT bomb for spreading some damage, sludge bomb for slowing ball carriers and the mob that surrounds them or creating distance from an attacker, I also use the freeze bomb to stun players and interupt them. I outheal most sorcs, and mercs easily...on my server at least. Operative is a great healer, just takes time to learn I've played my operative since launch as healer spec from the start.
  5. If I had force powers I would heal people and animals that are wounded and inspire communities to be more kind to one another. I would also mind trick my husband, "You will take the dog outside while I finish this PvP match."
  6. Do people not read Dev Posts or the Q&A that they started two weeks ago?? I have to keep relaying information in each post I make it seems. Daniel Erickson: Character transfers between servers are definitely going to be available in the future and we’ll announce details as soon as we have firm dates. So for the moment TBA on server transfers. I hope this also means server merging, although I was lucky in choosing a nicely sized server I feel for the players who are in light servers.
  7. Good news! RN will be buffed in patch 1.2 Georg stated this in last fridays Q&A. Sounds like they're buffing it by making it be 'front loaded'. So I'm assuming an instant heal after popping RN with the HoT applied. Georg said there were other changes too...Anxious to see what they are. *fingers crossed*
  8. **Taken from the February 17th Q&A** Georg Zoeller: "Our stance is that all full healer specs should be viable for all type of content, which is the case, even for 16 man Operations. Our own players have no issues clearing any of the content in the game, on all difficulty levels, with any healer spec. Data from the Live game shows Operations, at all sizes, being successfully run with Commando and Scoundrel healers. It is expected for certain Operations bosses to create challenges for different healer archetypes (e.g. due to mobility requirements), but overall, every healer archetype is capable of successfully healing through any Operations and Flashpoint content in the game (currently and in the future). With regards to your question about Commando/Scoundrel Area of Effect healing not scaling to group size, please understand that no heal, on any class, scales with group size. The most powerful Area of Effect heals in the game (Salvation/Revivification) affects up to 8 players, but does not scale with group size. These abilities are very costly, have an activation time requirement and require the targets to stand in a localized area for ten seconds to receive the full benefit. We plan on improving the overall Area of Effect healing performance of the Mercenary/Commando in the next major Game Update (1.2) by increasing the number of targets affected by Kolto Missile/Kolto Bomb. As for Scoundrels having no tools for short burst healing, we don’t agree with that assessment. A scoundrel, for example, is capable of producing rather significant burst healing output by using Upper Hand gained from Underworld Medicine or Kolto Injection to trigger an instant Emergency Medpack or Surgical probe when needed. That said, we certainly think there’s room for improvements (and our upcoming Game Update 1.2 has a sizeable chunk of such improvements). For example, we are shifting the healing created by the Kolto Cloud ability to be front loaded in 1.2 to allow it to act as an emergency Area of Effect healing tool. Finally, the perception of a specific class being not desirable can also be affected by the desirability of other classes. For example, Sage/Inquisitor healers are currently able to exceed our intended healing performance at times by affecting multiple heals with the same Conveyance/Force Bending buff. Game Update 1.2 will remove the ability to do so." _________________________________________________________________________ +10 Georg
  9. I'm so excited for this to be working properly now. From the way its worded though I wonder if we're getting the SP portion of the talent. Unless the SP buff is already working.
  10. Is there going to be a revamp on the Operative anytime soon? Operative healing is significantly lower than a sorceror's and there are a couple talents Operatives have, such as medical therapy and evasion, that do not work.
  11. Finally! People above me that aren't whining. I am enjoying SWToR so much and now consider this mmo my new obsession. I can't wait to see what BW will add in the game and where it will go. Thank you BW for taking time to do a weekly Q&A. Unlike some people that have responded to this thread I READ it.
  12. Mosrali Exile the Double Agent reporting sir.
  13. I think shield probe should extend to allies as well. Keep the cd of it or make it a little longer so only one person can be affected every 45+ seconds. Sorceror and Bounty Hunter have a shield ability and I think it would be appropiate if IA did too.
  14. I'm a female gamer and have never exploited that fact to get something. I enjoy earning my gear just like everyone else. I have had funny experiences with guys hitting on me in the past, like one time when I was on GW this guy confided his whole life story to me, I thought he was being nice and wanted someone to talk to. At the end of his rant he says' brb I'm gonna jerk my gerkin' so I'm like 'oookay..' he comes back and tries to cyber with me! and wait for it....his pick up line was 'I'm taking off my socks now,' I logged off and literally laughed my *** off. Some of you guys are a real life knee slapper. I haven't had people hit on me recently though, probably because I let it be known that I am an actual female to guildees and that I am happily married. Me and my hubby play videogames together all the time.
  15. I have to agree with Ruqu on this one. It's a new game people! It's not going to perfect, the devs are constantly working on this game to make it better so instead of crying please keep your criticism helpful. On that note, I would like to say I play as an operative healer. I haven't played any other healer class yet, but I am constantly being outhealed and outdamaged by sorceror healers in PvP by a significant amount. My rotation is an follows. 1. Stack Kolto Probe for 20% health regen. 2. Put group HoT up for roughly another 20% regen. (I try to keep these HoTs running constantly) 3. Kolto Probe has a 30% chance to proc a tactical advantage which depending on my energy and situation I'll either use stim boost for energy management or surgical probe for a free heal. 4. I try to always have one TA available. In case someone drops below 30% I spam surgical probe since it will refresh if target's health is that low. I have saved MANY people spamming this move, and once their health is above 30% I have enough time to do a Kolto Injection for a spike heal. 5. If tank is taking lots of damage I rotate between doing a Kolto Injection and surgical Probe. 6. If people are looking good I use Diagnostic Scan for more energy management and its an okay filler. I do agree this move needs to be tweaked. I think if it was buffed to heal a little more it would be used more often by other operatives. 7. Throw a DoT on boss. Use CC if health permits. Another move for operative that needs obvious tweaking that others have mentioned is Kolto Infusion. Kolto Infusion requires a TA to use has a quicker cast time than Kolto Injection and does less healing than KI. If they increase the healing Kolto Infusion does to be MORE than Kolto Injection I would def put it back in my action bar, at the moment it's out of my healing rotation completely. If we could have a talent tree option to add a HoT to Infusion as well that would help define our class better as a HoT healer and give us a healing boost. I would also be estatic if we could put a shield on allies. We have a shield that we can put on ourselves that absorbs moderate damage and if specced for it increases the healing recieved by up to 15% while the shield is active. If there was a similar move we could put on allies that also gave a healing buff to the target while active I would be a happy camper. I have a blast playing my operative. I will NOT reroll just because at the moment my heals are not keeping up with other classes. In time I know this will be balanced out and I'm enjoying the ride till then. It's a great game and I have a blast playing it.
  16. I'm still enjoying playing operative. I'm level 46 and specced for healing so the nerf didn't affect me. All classes are bound to be tweaked, so I don't waste my time and energy being upset by it. I'm just thankful for a fun game to play on my down time.
  17. Loved the blog post, very interesting and informative. To all the whiners who threaten about unsubscribing... PLEASE DO...get the frak off a great game that doesn't need your unconstructive input. SWTOR is still a new mmo and bugs are inevitable, and your 'high priority' bug may not be occuring to other players. Be patient and enjoy a good game, report bugs when they occur and leave CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions in the suggestion area of the forums. If you can't play nicely then go back to WoW, your qqing is welcome there.
  18. I'm very excited about this. Although I won't be attending, and I'm pretty sure my guild won't be represented it is very encouraging to hear that Bioware is taking the time and making the effort to meet players and hear from them.
  19. I'm def not re-rolling. First of all I'm specced to heal, and second of all I'm not going to let a nerf make me nerd rage and qq about it. Bioware has done a wonderful job so far, and I'm excited to see where this game goes and how they will manage balancing all the classes.
  20. Would you please explain yourself when you say the system is "****ed up?" Why do you think it's such an awful way of determining ability damage etc.?
  21. Kinda disapointed with the nerf, but I can't complain too much. So far I've enjoyed every aspect of playing an operative, I am specced into the healing tree so this doesn't affect me too much, but I can see how it would make people qq. I do wish they had a Public Test Server, because it sounds like they are just pushing certain things to deal with one issue and in doing that they're creating another issue altogether.
  22. I would definitely love to see chat bubbles added to SWTOR. Great Post and I hope to see this addition in the nearby future.
