  1. For the record, people posting that Op healers are strong are either ignorant or trolling. It's been widely acknowledged for at least a month that the Op healer is by far the weakest in the game in both PvE and PvP. I encourage readers to visit the healing section of the class forum to educate themselves further. The DPS specs are equally bad. There is a very good reason why Operative numbers at 50 are rapidly trending towards 0.
  2. So the conclusion is all healers OP? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
  3. I'm 95% certain the "no healing" debuff applied on vanish prevents medpacks from working. As for the topic, yes, Op healers (and Ops in general) need a serious buff. They are walking free kills. The whole medic/sawbones tree needs to be redesigned. Unfortunately I feel that the same whining bads that got the class nerfed into the ground in the first place will prevent this from ever happening.... :I
  4. You know where the best PvP in swtor is? It's the shared quest hubs on Voss. Why? Despite having absolutely no PvP "objectives", PvP magically happens when both factions are forced to cross paths in the same place. Why they dont do this with other content is beyond me. Same thing with WoW, the best WoW PvP happened in Blackrock Spire circa Molten Core/BWL before there was even a PvP system.
  5. As others have said the best way is simply to cheese it with consumption to 30% health and then pop power relic + power adrenal + reckless and hit yourself with a DI crit.

    Healers in PVP...

    Could the mods PLEASE stop moving threads from the PvP forum here? This is one of the only sections of the public forums which generally has a good signal/noise ratio. Stop @#%@#%@% it up with garbage.
  7. You don't see many of them at 50 because the majority of good Operatives have rerolled to something more effective (Sorc, Merc, Marauder) as all three specs are either flat out worst in game or in the bottom half of effectiveness. I urge all Operatives to reroll/level alts so the population drops to such a miniscule amount that Bioware will be forced to act.

    BH = 9k+ damages

    The rough translation is: Do you think its normal that after the Op nerf two other classes hit as hard as they did pre-nerf? The 5K hit was on me in champ + BM gear. This game is (insert colorful language here)! Who do these developers think they are? (<--- not quite right but close)
  9. This thread is far too useful to be on page 10. I hit 50 on my Sorc last night and figured I would add to this thread by posting a SS of my last match at 49 and my first match at 50 so people can see that the gap, while significant, can be significantly reduced with some proper planning. Here is my last match at 49: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/39392/swtor%202012-02-20%2022-36-34-89.jpg My gear is epic L45 hilt/focus and all L45+ blue mod gear WITH expertise mods ripped out of L46 PvP weapons. I have 150 expertise (3.99%@49). Here is the first match at 50: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/39392/swtor%202012-02-20%2023-15-51-21.jpg I bought my 6 bags and got 0 lucky tokens. I used the comms to buy the champion offhand and centurion mainhand. I spent ~150K on 6x purple armoring and 150K on a L49 mastercraft implant with +22 willpower aug. I also added the L50 matrix cube and basic L50 end +power relic. My expertise is about 200 (~5%@50). I had to play much more conservatively, ate more deaths (BM geared players roll me regardless of skill) but was still effective as you can see. Today I am going to knock out the ilum/belsavis/pvp dailies. I expect to be ~400 expertise/~ilvl 136 geared within a week.
  10. The only thing I took away from that PR speil was that there will be healing balance changes in 1.2. What they will actually do is all conjecture until we see the PTR notes.
  11. Part of what you are seeing is that the Bolster curve is really strong till about L30 at which time it drops off significantly unless you are consistently in blue+ at level gear which the vast majority of players are not.
  12. PLEASE stop posting screenshots of scoreboards as evidence of anything. They prove NOTHING as there is no context. A simple example; If left unmolested an Op/Smug healer can put out 1000000 healing in Voidstar. This does NOT tell you anything about the spec (which in the Op/Smug healer case is worst in game by a lot) it only tells you that he was free casting for 15 minutes straight. The same applies to DPS.
  13. Are you dying to these healers in 1v1? If not, where is the problem?
  14. All three healing classes can put up large numbers in PvP if left alone and/or heavily guarded. I can dig up a screenshot of a Sage doing ~1.2 million healing in Voidstar. It means nothing. The difference in PvP is one of survivability and utility where the other two healers are vastly superior.
  15. How does this relate in any way to the presented screenshot? Are you suggesting that the Operative in question is somehow padding his stats in a Voidstar match? I am simply pointing out that the healing support who in this case almost certainly played their role well is getting massively under rewarded for equal contribution to the success of the team.
