  1. i just finished testing fraps on my computer which worked wonders http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bES1sPj0ceY This video is just me on my sorc doing a wz to test it nothing special i do pretty good tho ( i always do good) will probably start releasing some vids on me as madness or corruption playing with one of the highest rated RWZ teams in EU right now http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/826/45315800.jpg/
  2. very fast queue pops even for ranked, we mainly play at evenings and usually it takes less than 2 minutes to get the queuepop, even at 3k rating hehe: P
  3. Pretty much all your gear has wrong mods in them you are missing like an extra hundred bonus damage Willpower, power and surge in that order are the 3 stats you want to focus on. quick tip the Force Mystic gloves's enhancements are the best enhancements and the force master boots mods are the best mods until your entire gear is decked with this combo of 2 items in 1 your gear is not done also i recommend using a power crystal you only need about 1200 expertise. with WH gear set minus focus and with power crystal you will have about 1200 I have an extra set of focus and wep in my bag for when i am healing cus you will need it then.
  4. omg are you guys serious? for madness specced sorcs the deathfield damage alone is our hardest hitting ability and should be used ON cooldown even on singletarget lol
  5. http://i903.photobucket.com/albums/ac234/cleep/Screenshot_2012-07-22_23_39_07_663684.jpg Bought my supreme inquisitor's robe for 2 mill a couple of weeks ago dammit i am using this til the day i die (rest is war hero, unified colors ofc)
  6. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha are you really asking for a bunch of buffs to the already highest dps class IN PVP right now ? you say you have played a sorc since day 1, and if that's the case then you should have the same experience in me for pvp. no class can match a sorcs sustained dmg output and high mobility in warzones. it saddens me that 1/10 sorcs realises this..
  7. So i'm not really a "new player" but i figured this would be the best place to ask. So i recently realized that it's possible to trade the orange "bind on legacy" gear you buy from dromund kaas over to other characters in the same legacy, now this opens up a question i have for trading over war hero items. now i know that it's possible to flat out buy an pvp item, take the mods out and into orange legacy gear. send it over to an alt and use it aslong as it's the required gear type (light medium heavy) Now my actual question goes a little deeper than this My current situation is this. my main is a sorcerer who only needs 3 items to finish up my war hero set. lightsaber chest and relic. now i obviously plan to buy the lightsaber and relic for myself from my sorc. but it would help alot of i could use my marauder to just buy the chest item and send it to me. this wouldnt be much of a problem if it wasnt for the fact that i recently spent 2 million credits on the "supreme inquisitor's robe" trust me. paying that much for a robe ( a good looking one ) makes me want to actually use it lol. so my ultimate question is: Can i, after i've sendt the cloth war hero chest item from my mara to my sorc via the bind on legacy orange buyable item from dromud kaas. take out the mods from the bind on legacy and put it back into my current robe on my sorc? thanks for any advice, would not want to waste 3500 RWZ to find out it doesen't work
  8. you're a sith, what type of armor does not make any difference, a sith/jedi could go into battle vs heavy armored vechiles and troopers completely naked and it would not make a difference. they have their lightsaber and thats all they need and thats how its supposed to be.
  9. First thing you know is after you hit 50, the more pvp you do, the faster you get gear. the first thing to note is your valor. depending on how much you PVPed while leveling up, and i assume you didnt. you have quite a job ahead of you. because you want to hit valor rank 60 as fast as possible. there are 3 tiers of pvp gear. You need 60 Valor to be able to purchase the battlemaster (tier 3) pvp gear. the best and fastest way to farm gear, since illum is a joke on pretty much all servers. is DO WZs. your goal is to buy champion gear bags. they cost 200 merc and 200 wz commendations each. You get mercenary commendations either from world pvp and dont rely on this. farm warzone commendations thats litteraly all you do. because you can convert 30 warzone commendatinos into 10 merc commendations. this meens you need 600 WZ commendations to convert into 200 MERC commendations. then you need 200 wz commendation to buy the bags. so 800 WZ = 1 bag remember to do both your dailys every day. you get bags from doing this. a champion bag containts 15 centurion commendations. and 78 champion commendations. so naturally you will get centurion gear faster than champ, and after a while you will be decked out in full centurion with a few champion items. after you hit 60 valor dailys and weekly quest gives you the option to get a higher level bag opon completing quests. these bags gives you 15 champion commendations and a 25% chance for a battlemaster commendation. which will be used to buy tier 3 pvp gear. after hitting 60 valor, there is no point rly at farming up the last champion items, just skip it all and go strait for BM, you have made it this far in wzs, dont waste time going for tier 2. because after you hit 60 valor you can use your commendations on raw battlemaster commendations for 1000X 1000X a pop. also, i strongly recommend getting a matrix cube for your 2. relic slot, it is simply amazing. hope it helped, and pardon my 2. language english =)
  10. First of all this is not a post made to complain or be negative, i love this game and want to continue playing it, and enjoy every part of the game. to the max. So i've been playing starwars for a while now, and i've watched my server just drop significally on the population. on peek hours, between around 6-9 PM there is about 30-40 lvl 50s online, some of them trying to do PVP, others PVE, and general stuff that you might need a other people to manage. and because of the just lack of people on the server, you end up not being able to do any of them. I am standing in Illum right now, and there are a total of 3 people here, at 6 PM, and its like that all the time. The republic side is even worse, there are none, at all. Huttball to voidstar/alderaan rations are like 1/50. While i realise that Imperial to Republic ratios are pretty much unbalanced on all the servers, and thats not something you can really blaim Bioware for, most people likes to play bad guys, you just feel more powerfull i guess. anyways some sort of fix on this population problems that i'm sure alot of servers are struggeling with, would be great. i know that patch 1.2 comes with crossrealm PVP, and stuff like that but that does not fix the entire issue with a low populated server. there are still PVE, ranked PVP, atleast for now. and just general world pvp and stuff you do in the game. I personally think that the best way to solve this would just be merging servers. there is no denying that there are a bit to many servers for the amount of people that are playing right now, atleast from what i've seen. I will keep playing this game, and i will keep watching it grow and grow, because it really as potential and i would want to just try out everything and play the entire game. but i feel like i'm missing out on stuff, like Illum pvp and raids. because there just arent enough people. That's my opinion on the case anyways, what do you guys think?
  11. this is gonna be a pretty long post discussing the different ways to spec into madness hybrid, and deciding which filler points and utility spells to actualy get. so bare with me. so i recently dinged 50 on my sorcerer, and i'm determined to PVP on it as madness-hybrid-something. as i've realised by now that that spec is alot better than lightning overall. i have already played alot of warzones up to 50, alrdy had about 35 valor rank when i hit 50, and i have 2700 + rating exp from wow arenas. so i know my pvp, its not that. looking through my choices on the talents. i can't help but notice all the different ways there are to spec into madness hybrid. and all of them just look really good on doing different jobs. i've already premade a couple of specs from torguild.net. and wanted to share them with you and say what i think about them. i would really just like to see what some high valor, high geared sorcs are doing at the moment, since there are just so many different ways to do it. so here it goes. NR 1. starting with a full madness DOTS utility, high singletarget damage spec. that require very little standing still to cast stuff. http://torguild.net/calculator/sith-inquisitor/sorcerer/?p=000000000000000000030302020000000000003020322131201122321 This spec lacs chain lightning, which is an amazing aoe spell that just does a LOT of damage in most warzones, because there is alot of clumping up, it is also the only proficient way to use WRATH procs, except for crushing darkness, ofc. however, it fills the loss of chainlighining pretty good with really high CC, mobility and singletarget + DOT spread DMG, it also gives you a bit of defensive passive healing. NR 2. a bit more defensive, while also speccing into high AOE damage, simply not using affliction at all and focusing on dealing high damage with chain lightning. http://torguild.net/calculator/sith-inquisitor/sorcerer/?p=231022010000000000032300020101000000003020302131201000000 I personally like this spec, it gives you a pretty all around build with high aoe damage and survivability with the utility talents needed, + that extra instant cast heal. note that the 2. tier of the healing tree actualy gives you a 10% increase to AOE damage, which is 50% of the reason i go into resurgence on my AOE spec. NR 3. A very offensive build, going high into madness for the high DOT damage and passive healing, but dropping creeping terror for chain lightning. for extra damage in aoe. note that this spec allows for 1 point into electric bindings, for the RNG chance to proc the very strong root after using my knockback. http://torguild.net/calculator/sith-inquisitor/sorcerer/?p=000000000000000000030302020100000000003020322131201122320 i feel like this is also a valid spec. getting the high singletarget DOT damage WITH chain lightning, mixing it out NR 4. While this spec does not provide the selv healing, nor the high, maxed damage, it gives you just alot more CC and disrupion with decreased cooldown and increased lookout duration on the different spells, like interrupt, whirlwind and electrocute. totaly valid for a more utility type sorcerer. this spec allows for backlash, the blind when shield expires. http://torguild.net/calculator/sith-inquisitor/sorcerer/?p=000000000000000000032302022102002000003022302131201002000 NR 5. Group and self healing with force bending into casting actual heals on urself or your group, while also dishing out aoe focused damage. http://torguild.net/calculator/sith-inquisitor/sorcerer/?p=230122210000000000032300020101000000003020302131001000000 This spec focuses more on survivability and being an actual healer, i feel like resurgence and force bending is the primary way of healing, even as a fully specced currupion sorc, this spec will be more the survival healing type of sorc, while still having that utility and damage you get from the damage specs. so there you have it, the different ways i feel a madness sorc can be played. while i realise that all these specs are different and excel at different objectives, depending on the player and the way they play. all of them are totaly doable. I am the type of player that likes to max out my character in every way possible to get the upper advantage in whatever my goals are. so getting these pvp specs in hand is important to me personally, and im sure im not the only one that feels this way. so what are your thoughts, what specs are you personally using right now? what do you think of my different specs and how do you personally feel that sorcs SHOULD be played right now. and if you are still reading this after this wall of text, thank you for reading, i hope it was worth anything for you and if you are a fellow fresh 50 sorc like me, i hope you learn anything from the comments that i "hopefully" get from this. also english is only my 2. language. Thank you for reading, namaste and may the force be with you.
  12. There is a time and place where backpeddaling is actualy very efficient, the fact that you actualy move faster while strafing, and mastering strafing will not only improve how fast you move is ok. but it is generally better for your overall view and you will get alot more perspective, specially in pvp. If you are for example tanking mobs in PVE, then backpeddaling will get you a long way, mobs position themself easyer, and u have more control than when you force mobs to move sideways. and one of the most awesome things to do vs feral druids or rogues in wow, and generally backstabbing classes in swtor, (attacks that can only be used behind your target) is backpeddaling. alot of people dont realise that when you backpeddal, the player desperately trying to backstab you will have no chance at all to do it unless he is fast enough to constantly run around you while moving. and this actualy decreases the effective DPS the backstabber will do. additionally i've gotta say that because bioware made the huge mistake of not allowing players to toggle off smart camera. which is a pain in the *** to deal with in pvp, some times its just easyer to backpeddal if you want to move just a little bit, while casting something ahead of you, than to move to the side, because you simply cannot run 1 way and look the other, which is simply stupid and should be fixed.
