  1. I didn't read through all the posts because it's essentially another whine thrad, but didn't BW mention that fresh lvl 50's in patch 1.2 will be able to buy a starter pvp set for credits? Something called Recruit? In fact I just found it here: http://www.swtor.com/blog/community-qa-april-6th-2012-game-update-1.2-special
  2. I agree with you it's a good suggestion. But the thing is suggestions/ideas go to the suggestion box section. He posted in the crew skills section, so the question is a normal one but the way how things go on the forums it can be interpreted as something he wants right now or as soon as possible which isn't going to happen.
  3. That it is. And any new raids will provide new shemantics. The reusables are merely for convenience that's all. It's more interesting to me at least they you are capable of making augmented implants of any version (redoubt, overkill, criticial) and then get whatever extra secondary stats you wish, for all I care that be presence. Just like with any other craft that will take time.
  4. That's incredibily odd because wow is exactly as objective based pvp as swtor, I'm guessing you like it more because well its star wars haha. Alderaan = Arathi Basin, Eye of The Storm(with a flag as well) and Gilneas. Voidstar = I guess Strand of Ancients? Except the door is immediately down in Voidstar if the 20 sec timer is down. Huttball = Basicly WSG Gulch but with a flag that you can throw, the same abilities that we have that can be considered OP in Huttball are also in WoW just different. The objective based pvp is almost completely the same, it's just in a different setting. Same way that you can even say that some specs and adv.classes reminds you of a certain class in wow. (Jedi Sage telekinectics was exactly elemental shaman to me, minus the lightning)
  5. You would think that, but that's not the case if you're on a low server pop. I used to be on exile's crystal rep side. 20 or so on the fleet all day. I have had a moment were I played in the morning on a saturday doing my dailies on belsavis. I was already in the que. It took about 2 hours. to pop up, by that time it was around 12:00 clock evening. I've recently rerolled Empire on Freedon Nadd since a week or so, I was going to play all the stories anyways. What a breath of fresh air, each planet has like 80 people on them, the fleet even has around 250 people on. I'll be staying Empire side simply because of the pop. I was actually planning on lvling the 8 adv.classes to lvl 50 on both sides, but I stopped. I thankfully already experienced all 4 unique classes and their story so that's out of the way. Even though I actually have to finish chapter 3 still. ./sigh
  6. Priorities my friend. They got alot of good ideas themselves(or they think they are) that they would love to work or on right now as we speak. However they are obligated to themselves and the subsers to work out the problems high on the list. These include bugs major but also minor, whether that be in pve or pvp. As a business you need to work on priorities, if not you can be the greatest and most fun and whatever positive thing you can think of to sum up a company but if it costs more money then it makes you won't last as a company. You can have the best idea ever but it needs to be a realistic one that can also be implemented in a reasonable time frame. A company is all about making money and to do that in an efficient manner you need to stick to your priorities. Hence why people refer to Blizz's policy at times as a joke, it's done when it's done. But that's the way things work. In short: priorities.
  7. Thank god there are still people around with common sense. I certainy wouldn't mind these titles they might even be a great way to advertise ourselves as crafters but like the guy above me pointed out, too much work would be involved. (as in data and what not)
  8. ^ This. Though it's rather convenient if you can make them yourself, otherwise you'd have to keep buying them. Your entire raid being stimmed and using adrenals can be just that little bit of extra stats to finish off a boss before it enrages or any kind of other trouble might occur. Early on I remember doing SOA in EV normal mode and we kept reaching 9% and then he enrages. Only one guy in our raid was stimmed if everyone else was as well that might've been just that little bit to getting him down sooner.
  9. Not sure what to say. Just one thing wow has even more.
  10. Yeah I guess I was indeed a bit off in my wording. But indeed now is the time to save up those mats, not just UwT but everything really.
  11. I have heard stories of crit crafted orange lightsabers from artice selling for millions but thats it. Anything else like armor isnt possible untill in patch 1.2, otherwise it's just crit crafted purples which will do nicely till you get your set items and so on. Or your orange gear filled with the best avaible mods to you.
  12. I wasnt talking about just those, but in general. You'd still need alot of Zal Aloy and Durasteel, especially if you're crafting a specific version, which would require you to RE alot of crafted orange gear, hence my statement.
  13. How many are there rep side? If I'm rerolling(wanting to play it anyways for the stories) to Imp side, I'd like to consider if Fatman is a good choice. As much as I'd love to I already commited myself to lvling 8 adv. classes on a server rep side and the same on imp side. Got 4 50's 1 of each class and the 5th is my 2nd jedi knight a Jedi Sentinel at lvl 34. I'm not going to reroll rep all over again and whatever friends I have on my server, I can't certainly convince them all to come, especially if they like me invested in more than 1 char. I could however reroll on the imp side and maybe tell my friends if they'd like to experience the imp stories and such as well, to join me on Fatman if they'd like.
  14. This pretty much, or saves you alot of time and creds on sending your companions or also farming them personally, either from nodes in the world or of enemy corpses. For example I was suprised how many beasts were around for bioanalsysis the first time I did EV, it was great.
  15. Do you an actual screenshot that shows that or an official post about that somewhere? I like to know that for certain.
  16. Taking armstech is the best to take on the smuggler, whether thats on a gunslinger or a scoundrel that's your choice. But corso riggs your very first companion, is the only one with the crit craft bonus to armstech, which is usefull at all times when you are aiming for mastercrafted weapons.
  17. My suggestion is to craft things with your friends and guildies in mind. Craft various versions of every main stat that they could use, whether that be on their main or alt. Then discuss with them in a whisper and explain to them what the bare minimum cost is. (this is something they can check themselves as well) If in the example of a earlier post the material cost is 41K, then reason with them that you want say 60-75K, for the time and effort you spend into it. Between friends and guildies this isn't unreasonable to say, you help each other out, it's a win-win situation, don't be too focussed on just making a profit on the GTN. This isn't all that viable depending on the servers.
  18. That's quite interesting then, is it also possible to trade dropped items between raid members once its looted and distributed to another member? I was wondering if it would be possible for me to for example take a piece of gear no one needs, remove the mods for RE, then give the piece of gear to say a syntweaver or a armormech and then let them RE it for a possible shemantic. If this is possible that would still make getting old gear ( "unneeded ") desireable and would it possibly still fun to play a normal raid on farm just for those kind of things. On my consular I'm a cybertech so this is great news to hear and I have seen my fellow raiders need on synthweaving shemantics, so I know we have those.
  19. I have seen on Torhead, but also have heard stories that data collected on it might not be accurate, multiple versions of each blue/purple/orange gear. For example a Leadership type or veracity, hawkeye. But in order to be able to craft these variations you would have to be able to RE the Base Orange Item. I assume that this Base Orange Item is either learned from a trainer or a shemantic. More shemantics are coming in patch 1.2. From what I understood the only thing that really changed is, that Orange Armor Gear could finally crit. However I have already made progress on lower lvl items, going from green > blue > purple, getting either, overkill/redoubt/criticial and then moving on from that to get those Leadership, veracity and so on version.
  20. Low server pops and people not bothering to do gathering or whatever messes up the economy. Hence why on my own server I decided to take slicing more then once across my chars. My non issue with getting creds if I really farmed for it, makes me actually indifferent if the prices were as high as 50K if I really need it.
  21. This pretty much. Blue stims and such are already an improvement over the green ones in terms of active time, instead of 1 hour its 2, but even more importantly it stays active even upon death. I think the blue ( than purple) medpacs might be a bit better because of their added HoT besides the heal, but if you don't need that then the reusable one will be best at all times, simply out of convenience sake. (no need to keep farming mats, spending creds)
  22. Then I guess, me being the only scoundrel healer, keeping my team alive and they keeping the imps of my back eventually leading to a win in alderaan or whatever is a fluke? ;o Or me as a vanguard stalling 2 imps at the first doors while them wanting to go and defend the 2nd doors is pointless? I've seen countless of times were a fellow sent was holding off 2 imps but was close to dying and I manage to save him in time. In a team based game, even with so called ''weak classes"" working together makes you a strong group. Do some classes have more utility? Yes they do, doesn't mean they always use them or know when to use them. When it comes to defending turrets in alderaan 1 person can hold off a small group long enough for his team to come in and help. And this 6 sec, I assume thats the force amo of a sent? I have heard of it from a fellow guildie, from what I heard you don't lose HP, but can you still get cced, stunned or rooted? Don't get me wrong, I do agree with you, but people seriously have to work more with their role. I'm really curious to see how scoundrel healing is going to be in 1.2. If I'm already doing this fine(great),it makes me wonder how some groups even manage without my healing. It really boggles my mind when my peers decide to mvp the top dps, but without my healing not him or any of them would have gotten the chance to do well, because them NOT dying does make a huge difference in the end. Thankfully I don't mind that much because 4 medals (even though with the new system, credit kills through I get more) is enough and that gets me the valor and coms I want/need. The wins though are more important. I do feel bad for any fellow healing sages/commandos but the changes to their healing has already been explained why.
  23. Thats pretty much in every kind of actual competive pvp, you got whiners everywhere. In shooters, in moba games like league of legends. I suppose for now rated wzs is the best were going to get competition wise.
  24. Well unless we get a really big map for a wz like say Alterac Valley or such in pvp, mounts wont rly be viable. It's why having a consular of Sith Inquistor with force speed go on ahead to cap very usefull in Alderaan.
  25. Let me sum it up for you guys. EVERY CLASS IS OP! In the hands of a player that understands the role of his/her spec that he/she chose. That understands the strengths and weakness of ALL THE OTHER adv.classes, their specs. PVP is objective based, you can have a horrendous score dps/healing/prot wise but if you play your role right you can win together with your team in every wz. For example a Jedi Sage that pulls the ball handlers, Guardians that force leap to enemies then guardian leap to an ally ( say a stealthed ally ftw ). That's Huttball. The other wz's you could be delaying the strongest dps/healers on the enemy team and die all the time, get terrible dps/healing/prot but basicly ensure that your team has a free reign to cap turrets, defend and so on.
