  1. I will. As LOADS of others, PvE-ers as well as PvPers (especially PvPers), will. Have fun playing on empty servers while you wait for this game to get better.
  2. Are you kidding? Do you know how many play this game solely for the PvP? LOADS, that's how many. I have loads of guildies who have never stepped foot in any PvE-related content. They've lived on the fleet and in warzones since level 10. All of them resubbed because ranked warzones were promised in 1.2. Now they are pissed off. So no, this is not about "just complaining to complain". This is about Bioware slapping a huge playerbase in the face.
  3. Haha. I know SO many people who kept their subs solely for ranked warzones in 1.2. They will no doubt end their subscription today. Good job at killing your own game, Bioware. Edit: But Bioware made some money, so they don't care.
  4. After playing PTS, I've decided to unsub. Bye Bioware!
  5. It's not a regular GTN. It's a neutral GTN. And this is not useful. Why? Go to Nar Shadaa. Check out the neutral GTN. See anything? No? How shocking! And to make it worse, very few will have this on their ship so it won't improve the usefulness at all. If it was a regular GTN it would be useful. Then I could live on Belsavis/Corellia and I'd never have to go to fleet again. I was grinding money for this GTN, but then I realised it's useless so I stopped. At 7 million credits.
  6. Yes. Alternatively you can do your dailies then log out and wait for 1.2. Welcome to the club.
  7. This was kind of the last straw for me as well. A smack in the face.
  8. It's not a major update at all. They're releasing stuff which should have been released at launch (*cough* legacy) or 1.1, adding one WZ, one OPs and one FP. Generation entitlement? Please. I loved this game. Fact is that they're taking too long with releasing a MINOR update. This isn't 2004. Game companies ought to know how to make good MMORPGs these days, and they ought to know what gamers expect from an MMORPG in 2012. They under-estimated the players; those who raid got tired of raiding the same two ops, week after week, back in February. This one new ops isn't going to keep the raiders playing. The PvPers are sick and tired of the same WZs, the lack of competition and the lack of challenge from the oh so tedious and old fashioned tab-combat. They're all waiting for ranked WZs, just like the raiders are waiting for the new ops. These things will be interesting for a week (all new things are), then people will feel it's not enough and cancel their sub. I've prepared well for 1.2. I did my dailies EVERY single day. I crafted my butt off to sell implants on GTN. I even leveled alts, just so I could get the super buff and max out other crew skills. I HATE leveling alts. I'd rather dig a hole in my head with a rusty spoon than level alts. But I did it in preparation for 1.2. Because apparently it was going to be huge and everything would be wtfpwnawesomesauce!1 After a few weeks of this tedious grinding, I got bored. And tired. I realised after some research that the legacy stuff wouldn't actually be worth what I was doing. I wanted credits so I could get the neutral GTN on my ship, then I actually went to Nar Shadaa to check out the GTN and lo' and behold: there was nothing there. So no point in having a GTN on my ship. The huge nerf to BH healers was a smack in the face. Then I found out that only the NEW tier items will have the set bonus attached to the armoring. Seriously?! I bought fancy armor in FEBRUARY because I wanted to look awesome. It's the most ridiculous patch notes I've ever seen, and it shows that BW has no idea what they're doing. The hype around this patch is ridiculous. The ones who still are excited are the ones who a) Still aren't level 50, b) Are casual level 50s, still running around in blues and oranges and have barely stepped foot in an ops, and c) Role-players. The ones who have been 50 since January (Cue "Oh my gawd you rushed the game!1 Get a life!" from type a, b and c -- oh please) and enjoy PvP and raiding, the ones who were Battlemaster and War Hero before the valor changes and without Ilum farming; the ones who have attended Every. Single. Raid. and done their dailies (PvP and PvE) Every. Single. Day. since January -- the ones who have rakata geared companions because every guildie is decked out (This is what happens when you raid 2 days in a week), the ones who supported this game since Beta, who bragged about it to their friends and told everyone that it's awesome -- these people were excited in February and March. Now they've logged out. Because they actually realised how little this patch will offer to endgame. They realised it won't change a damn thing, and a week or two after patch the situation will return to what it's like now: deserted servers, people jumping around on fleet because they have nothing better to do, and no challenge. On the bright side, it will now take guilds 3 days to clear the ops instead of 2 - so that only leaves 4 days where they have nothing to do! Yay! My guild had 25+ people (active people) sign for raids in March. Now my guild has 6 signing. A minority of these people will keep their sub for 1.2, because they have faith. MAYBE the new ops WILL be ridiculously hard. MAYBE the rewards will be worth it. MAYBE this game will be fun again. MAYBE the crew skills will improve the trade market. MAYBE I will have as much fun as I had back in January/February, before my blinkers came off and I released how shallow, linear and badly designed this game is. The type a, b and c (oh sorry, you prefer being called "patient players") players have yet to realise this. They're still having fun leveling and exploring the so-called endgame (which they still believe exists). Generation entitlement? Please. 4 months is too long for such a minor update. It won't make the game wtfpwnawesomesauce, but it might make it a little less boring for a week or two. At best.
  9. The thing is... people have gotten bored and quit while waiting for 1.2. People were bored in March, and those people now find that logging in seems more like self inflicted torture rather than fun. Me being one of those people. 1.2 isn't going to solve anything. Everyone will be disappointed, and those who keep their sub while waiting for 1.2 will cancel their sub within a week of release.
  10. My guild had 25+ people sign in mid March. Now we have 6.
  11. Same. I haven't logged in in days now, and that was only to say hi and check my auctions and then log off again.
  12. This right here. I'm looking forward to The Secret World; no levels and no classes. Just loot and spec. Leveling is so old now, gamers are sick of killing 10 piglets, then killing 10 boars, then collecting 10 red flowers. It's pointless and tedious. They're also sick of enrage timers, lockouts, tab-fighting, instances/zones and the lack of freedom in specs, appearance etc, yet this is what the companies keep throwing at us. The old timers are longing back to UO. We will keep hopping from MMO to MMO until the companies actually understand this. Bioware does not. In fact, they've enhanced the very things that make us hate MMOs. The only good thing I can say about their vision is that IF we're going to have to level (which we shouldn't), then the SWTOR way of leveling is superior -- hands down. But that's all. I'd like to see no levels, no classes, no enrage timers, a way to distinguish yourself from others, housing, and a huge skill system where your skills got better the more you used them. But the companies just don't get it.
  13. 4 more guildies just quit the game. Get yer fingers out, Bioware...
  14. 1.2 isn't going to save this game. A lot of people have quit these past few weeks, I myself cannot be bothered to log in (to do nothing). We're all just waiting for 1.2, and my guess is that it will be interesting for a week and then everyone will quit. My guild went from having 25 people sign for a raid (mid february - early-mid march) to having 6 people sign. Too little, too late...
  15. I chose light side on the last quest, and my loading screen still says "Chapter 3". I don't know if this affects companion quests, but if it does I sincerely hope BW fixes this in 1.2... I had no idea it was supposed to say "Interlude".
  16. Hahahaha funny joke. http://i.imgur.com/7EyEm.jpg
  17. I just played Tera beta, and I noticed their guild tab system. You can view all the guilds on the server, apply to them in-game and give them "praise". As a guild leader, you can view applications and accept them in-game. I think this would be a really, really good addition to SWTOR, and it would make finding and organising guilds a lot easier. 18. I love posts like this. You haven't been level 50 very long, have you? "Buy all the available speeders" lol what? Why?
  19. No. They will read the patchnotes then continue to play GW2 Beta.
