  1. That is a bit of an exageration. Even with current full healing if any player gets seriously focussed they are going down, especially the ones that stand around and don't LOS it.
  2. They should have added a 6 second cooldown on Deliverance, but kept it's buff from conveyance as it was. This would have meant our other heal, benevolence would get some use in a clever rotation (right now I only use it as a trick heal). Even with the current 1.4 second cast time, I get deliverance interupts on me all the time. Of course I can just LOS and spam it again, and that is where the problem lies. It needs a cooldown so if someone is fast enough to interupt it on a 1.4 second cast, we can't use it again for 6-8 seconds. I agree our inifinite force energy via free noble sacrifices needed a nerf, but deliverance is now going to feel like a massive gamble in any kind of serious PvP fight.
  3. They had to nerf the force regen issue, because that was OP. However, I believe they made a mistake with the neft to deliverance losing it's 1 second lower cast time. It would have been much more balance to give Deliverance a cooldown so it can't be spammed, between 6 and 8 seconds, which combined with healing trance and force armour having their own cooldowns means we'd have to make more liberal use of benevolence. Deliverance is going to be a real gamble to use now, because even with a 1.4 second cooldown, I get interupted all the time, even if I use benevolence as a "trick" heal. Does Bioware know good healers get 2 melee assigned to them almost 24/7? Someone explain to me how we're supposed to heal anyone but ourselves when our main heal is now much much easier to interupt. They have went a bit too far.
  4. I've been rethinking on this one and here is what I've come up with. Why don't they put a cooldown on Deliverance of say 6 seconds, that way it can't be spammed and our other heal, benevolence, will get used inbetween. The important thing is Deliverance would still benifit from the 1 second cast reduction if used after rejuvenate.
  5. Reality check here. The only significant nerf we have been hit with is that now our healing crit noble sacrifice does hurt us. Ignore the conveyance fix as that was never meant to be in the game and to be honest you should be getting at least one crit on every healing trance without the buff. You still get a super fast cast of deliverance. As for the noble sacrifice, I don't like it but it was needed. It isn't fair that we can spam our abilities and never run out of energy if we follow the rotation. We can still do this, but now we need to keep ourselves healed as well. Honestly, it's not a big deal. I'll just be constantly using rejuvenate on myself combined with the odd big heal. It really isn't a such a big nerf. We still have force armour and all the cc and mobility.
  6. If the enemy team has 3 healers, there is no reason why you can't bring 3, thus balancing the force young Padawan. healers are annoying, but at least you know they can't kill you.

    Battlemaster Bag

I'd like to give a big shout out the the poster who mentioned "loss aversion", that is a community minded member that there. Give that chap an MVP vote when you see him. Just to touch on stats for a second. Some people seem to think if they open 5 bags and get no BM token, then their odds must surely start to turn around in their favour. This is not the case, at least with my laymans understanding of stats. If BM tokens really are 1/4 chance, or 25%, then that is for every bag you open, INDIVIDUALLY. You don't get better odds the more bags you open, it's 1/4 every time no matter how many bags you open. You could literally open 1000 bags and get no tokens and any Bioware customer service rep would only be able to tell you, if you complained "the odds of getting a BM token are 25% per bag". It is like flipping a coin and seeing it land 10 times in a row on Heads. You might think, mistakenly the odds are it will land on Tails the next toss, but no...every time it's 50/50.
  8. GOod thing they are nerfing BH very soon.
  9. What a sad indication of the game that you posted this with pride.

    Battlemaster Bag

I'm in the same boat. I bought one BM comm with my 1000/1000 tokens when I hit 60...not had a single token from any bags, and I've done every daily/weekly since then for 3 weeks. Annoying.
  11. I like this idea. It would need to be called "Training Room" though, as allies don't duel each other, they train. The central lifts in the cantina could have a lower floor for this, with a viewing area, cantina vendor and a jukebox. Some kind of arena/pit for people to duke it out.
  12. I'm also an avid PvP'er and I get the changes they are making, though it must be said given how many errors they have already made in balancing pvP, I'll reserve judgement til after 1.2 hits. But as to my original point, I find laughing at people who are leaving the game very distasteful, especially given people are already posting about how dead their servers are and asking for transfers. I wonder if those individuals who are "lol see ya" or "BYE NOOB" etc have never had to watch a much loved MMO slowly wither and die because people kept leaving over balance issues etc. I have, and it wasn't fun. The community killed the server, the server closed and the game followed. I often wonder how much longer the game would have run if people had been a bit nicer to each other.
  13. It may seem amusing right now to laugh at PvP'ers leaving the game, but take it from someone who has watched a few MMO's fade and die. If the PvP crowd abandon a game, the game won't last. Do a count of how many servers a PvP focussed, then work the math on what percentage of the games population that amounts too. Then if you still want to laugh, be my guest. I doubt you'll be smiling in a year or so when your server is dead.
  14. What was the thinking behind making the PvE and PvP gear for level 50's get progressively less attractive? Just how drunk was the team who thought up the Consular high end gear? You won't answer my question of course, but never mind. This is the only MMO I've ever played where the best gear in the game looks the worst, almost across the entire republic faction. It is not not just because my main is a consular who is ashamed of his Rakata gear, even smugglers look silly and no one I've spoken to in game has said otherwise.
  15. The problem with them, as far as I can see is there is a certain combination of attacks (probably linked to a set build) that has no channels, or cast times. It's just instant attack after instant attack. As a healer in top end gear with a lot of PvP experience, I've never come up against a class that facerolls me so quickly as Powertech. There is literally nothing I can do, short of my 4 sec stun or a lucky force wave off a ledge to stop them. Do they really have 5 instant cast attacks? That is a bit over the top.
  16. The main problem with PvP in SWTOR? Pointless threads taking up valuable space in the PvP forum. /wink
  17. It's called a bug, MMO have them. It doesn't mean force armour is broken (you can use it on everyone else). They will fix it, I've had it too usually on the tank.
  18. Considering how new this game is, I'd counter your suggestion and say PvP is pretty rock solid. It needs some polish and a few extra options etc, but its good fun and will only get better. Maybe don't log for a few months and then come back.
  19. I remember doing an RP event in Starwars galaxies that resulted in a guildie having to surrender their lightsaber to my toon (who was a council member). I told them OOC they could of course use it for raids/PvP but in roleplay terms, they now had no weapon. He agreed. 3 minutes later, during the same event the character sparks up their lightsaber. "I quickly made another one" /pullseyeballsout Another time in SWG, I did an event using story teller tokens (npc and item tokens you could buy and place in the open world to create events). The thing about these tokens is, they could be used to kill other players if the person who placed them had invited the group into their story. I had everyone marked as story assistants so we could all place tokens (I'd given people small bags with a few npc's so they could feel part of the action). We were doing a search and investigation of 3 locations I'd previously setup with tokens when one guildie, who I knew to be a bit dense RP wise suddenly said in caps. "**** IT'S THE EMPIRE" and within 4 seconds he'd dropped a massive amount of imperial npc's on us, using hotkeys to tab through them and make them gold elites (bosses). He did all this from max range so only he survived. Next thing you know, he tries to roleplay how powerful he is and what a saviour he is. He didn't get an invite to any more events and I showed him in duels the meaning of real powa!
  20. I play a level 50 Sage healer in champ/rakata gear, and I can churn out 6ook in a single warzone. However, if a single Sith Marauder gets on my back I'm in serious trouble. My knockback as a pure healer won't stop him. My 4 second stun lets me get off a few heals but their damage against my poor armour is pretty sick and they have the speed and force leap to get to me no matter how good my LOS is. Every healer has their achilles heal, you just need to find it and get an ally on the job.
  21. Explain to me why they should get it an no one else should. Specifically explain what they are lacking that justifies this honour?
  22. well said sir. Healing does need a 30% debuff, and I know that because I can still get 6k crits fairly easily and the only professions I struggle to handle are marauders, everyone else is LOS'able easily.
  23. Open PvP is for many, the most exciting and pure form of combat in any MMO, and SWTOR has a wonderfully balanced faction vs faction class system. Open PvP can and should work in this game. I think the broken nature of illum should not be taken as evidence of anything. There is alot of scope for open PvP to work in this game and I believe the heart of it needs to lie in objective based combat. Make the PvP always moving, never static in one area so large groups of one faction can form up and plant themselves safely in a pile..untouchable. Make it so they must move from place to place, which then puts their large numbers as a disadvantage and gives smaller groups a chance to hit and run. There also needs to be focussed objective based PvP in 3 major planets on an hourly rotating basis. illum should not be the only place for open PvP and it should not be limited to level 50's.
