  1. It's a little sad that there is not more interaction between Republic and Empire players. All the quests seem to be focused on the 'war', but when it comes to players, it feels a little segregated.
  2. I did it on Sorc rather than Assassin, but I found it easiest to pull him back into to the corridor, put Andronikas on the corner and just kite him round avoiding his big casts with interupts.
  3. Rated 8man Warzones with only 4 man queues would be really strange. It was probably (hopefully) implied...
  4. Not worthless, but not as good. If DPS is your groups problem, and you're in PvP gear, that's a start. The stats are lower, therefore less DPS. PvP gear is ok for starting out, but if you're getting to the stage where you're hitting enrage timers or can't keep up healing, you need to improve your stats. Edit: also, if the healers are having to heal themselves a lot, the tank isn't generating enough threat or keeping adds under control (with the exception of bosses with no agro tables or healers doing dumb things like running into mines on Frabricator..) You honestly sound like you're unwilling to improve and accept the possability that they might actually be right
  5. The only thing that would do it for me is Faction swap (paid normally, but free to underpopulated factions). A few of us from my guild have already rolled alts on Rep and dinged 50, but tbh, Imperial will still be my main unless I can move my main chars. I would love to play Rep full time, I only chose Imperial to play with friends, but now they would prefer Rep, but most only if there is a faction change option.
  6. Wow, The problem isn't whether he can play the class or not. It's the fact that abilities display as unavailable, when they are available. Whether you know your abilities or not, this is wrong. It's really not a difficult concept to understand.
  7. Body type 3 already cannot fit through the crack in the wall to get a certain datacron...
  8. OP is right, children of today need to know that being large/obese is ok! Throw in some supersize companions, and call them curvy
  9. Me and 3/7 friends that understand their class. Same as any MMO really, always loved to lol at the 1300 in wow who think that by replacing their Sham with a Druid they would magically jump to 2500. Or the '8v8' groups in DAoC that think running 4x zerkers would make them win, but they still get facerolled every fight and don't understand why.
  10. Are you saying that you cannot roleplay effectively because your character isn't the same size as you IRL? Cannot tell if serious, good troll if not. If serious, well they can't cater for everyone unfortunately. Maybe new races will become available with Legacy updates in March, that could include something larger, such as Hutts, but the humanoid bodysizes will probably be just the same.
  11. Awesome post, very long but very accurate.
  12. His example was actually him questing, and a higher level attacking him. He wants to feel the danger of XPing on a PvP server. Currently there is very little difference between PvP and PvE servers.
  13. You miss the point, he's not specifically talking about WoW, just uses it as an example. His point is, in this game you do not see enough of the enemy while questing/grinding. For a game that centers around an intergalactic war, it makes no sense. Imperial and Republic are not currently at war in this game. OP - please edit original post to say <any other MMO> rather than WoW..
  14. Herp Derp. Didn't read but had input, missed the point, well done.
  15. This is pretty much it, there needs to be more crossover, the first time I saw an enemy on my first character (Sorc) was Hoth, only saw 2-3 more by the time I was 50. On my Marauder, I dinged 50 last week, I didn't see one single enemy my entire time questing. This is on the second highest populated EU server. My JK and Scoundrel saw only a few Imperials (same server), and this, as on my Sorc was towards the very end of the game only. Of the 8-10 enemies I have seen in the world, one has attacked me. The rest ran, hid, or just carried on about their day.
  16. Reading /fail This isn't about the fact that his guildies quit, he is outlining the reasons they quit. Those reasons affect all of us that enjoy real PvP, rather than standing in Ilum trading kills. Most people I play with love the game, but agree the PvP needs a lot of work.
  17. Yep it sucks, the spawn debuff starts during the load screen, and this game isn't so good with load screens
  18. I think your definition of World PvP is wrong, it is just plain ganking, but your point is right. Throughout the game (4 level 50s, and PT is 40+) I've barely seen any enemies, let alone ones that want to fight (even whem I'm on a mob and down to 30% they just let me quest in peace). For a game that's lore is centered around conflict, there isn't enough of it throughout the levelling game. Ontop of the ganking, there needs to be improvements to actual world PvP incentives, proper objectives (bases, towns etc) to take over and fight for, rewards (access to better schematics/xp areas for controlled objectives) and discourage the numbers zerging game (credit to the group that does the most damage only). My guild hasn't left yet, but I'm starting to see what I saw in Rift/War/Aion/AoC etc. People logging on a lot less, only logging on for the weekly raid we do, or only logging on to get their 3x Wz wins and 30x Ilum kills. If there are no improvements/announcements they will be gone within the month I think
  19. The reason you don't like marks, is because you don't like being targetted first as a healer? I think I've seen everything cried about on these forums now, marks marking people?! Who'd have thought..
  20. In the patch last week (or the week before, I forget) they changed Ilum so that you don't get credit/valour from someone recently killed. If you're zerging at the base, it's likely that everyone you're killing has been killed already, and as such is worth no valour/quest credit.
  21. I think it's fairly safe to say no one is being competitive with Legacy Experience.
  22. I agree with a lot of the OPs points, but tbh they don't really make the game any less enjoyable. They're minor inconveniences rather than game breaking problems. Game is fun for me. If it's not for you, sorry.
  23. Equally geared/skilled? No. I play a Marauder and Jedi Guardian (Jugg mirror) at 50, both in pretty similar gear (200~ expertise). The Marauder can put out more DPS, as Annihilation spec it's pretty insane. Rage is but tbh it's just number farming through AOEs Downside is Marauder is a lot more complicated to play, that would why some people who have 'played with lots of Marauders' don't see high numbers.
