  1. I played Empire as Lightside, but thought it was pretty cool when your groups forced to make decisions you wouldn't normally make. It's all part of the fun and unpredictability of the whole thing.
  2. Was it on Lord Adraas, and the guy was called Ethier? Had a similar experience, where someone invited me and another player to do 2 heroics, used us for the heroic he wanted, then kicked us out of the group and put us on /ignore. There are some real idiots out there unfortunately. On the bright side, the more they act this way, the more people who will get wise to their behaviour, and they'll eventually end up blacklisted on the server, by most people.
  3. I think your premise is an opinion, not fact. Most of my guildies play 6-7 hours a day, and played in beta for over a year, and are still enjoying the game.
  4. Interesting. I tended to mainly focus on the quests and the odd flashpoint, so that might be why I guess. Warzones decided to drop my 70 FPS to 10, whenever I enter them, so given up on PvP (which I've never really liked anyway).
  5. I loved the NJO. Started off really badly, but got absolutely amazing 4-5 books in, and became one of the best stories in the EU in my opinion.
  6. So do most people . Most people are overleveled at 35 my friend. However that switches as you get to the higher planets.
  7. There is definately a bit of a difficulty near the end of questing in terms of exp and keeping at the right level. I was actually in the same situation, and ran a few flashpoints to push me up a bit.
  8. Hoth is for Level 47's, but Alderaan is definitely closer to this guys level (Level 40 I think).
  9. Sharding - divides community, large planets seem barren, due to them being instanced.
  10. That's not true. If you'd read the forum rules, you might have noticed they are fine with criticism, as long as it's actually constructive.
  11. To be honest, the things I've reported, I've got a response within a day normally. Sometimes a couple of days. Which isn't too bad, especially considering, there's over 200 servers.
  12. He's talking about enabling them in-game by editing the config file. So technically BioWare have already, at least partially developed chat bubbles, and in beta there was a way to enable them via editing the config files.
  13. They do. Their actually working on content that will be out in 2013 at the moment, as well as the content we are currently getting. However, I doubt, unless BioWare have already decided to do a space expansion, that we'll see one as the next expansion. Pretty sure there well into the recording of the voice cast of the expansion by now already. I know a lot of the writing is done for content that will be in-game over the next year or so.
  14. In all fairness, the OP is providing constructive criticism. Although I might disagree with his/her analysis, it's important feedback for the developers.
  15. I've had a few issues with general chat on Lord Adraas. There's a lot of language and discussions that have been pretty appalling, especially in terms of racism. Had to /ignore a few people already.
  16. You say all these opinions as if they are facts, and yet fail to back them up. I suggest providing some constructive criticism.
  17. Your over-leveled now... but you won't be by the time you hit Voss.
  18. It's called probability. If everyone took Eldren's line of thinking, it would essentially weaken group combat effectiveness, due to a loss overall of gear going to players, as they'd be going to companions.
  19. Isn't that just the foot steps sound....
  20. Loving your psychoanalysis skills there. Your veiled insults while well written have fairly little substance. All I am alluding to is that the majority of people have a differing opinion to you on this issue. In no way was I attempting to 'force' my perspective on you. I was merely pointing out my own observations of both posts in this thread, and reactions people have had in-game to the way need is handled. Nothing wrong with me providing you with what my in-game reaction would be. You seem to be getting a little overcome with anxiety over someone having a differing opinion to your own, which becomes more evident when you start alluding to your background education in previous posts. i.e. head full of 'research papers'. You also seem to assume I wish to search you out so that I can add you to what you seem to view as a trophy wall of /ignores which is rather an amusing concept. As much as were having a discussion on a forum, I don't think you've managed to make such an impact on me, that I'd want to search you out. Evidently you've either read a little too deeply into my previous post, or more likely, intentionally read too deeply in a poor attempt at insult.
  21. Personally I like the game without mods and macro's. It means you have to actually work stuff out.
  22. Eldren, I suggest you just keep trying it out. I tend to put people like you on /ignore and then warn guildies to put you on their list, if you repeatedly need in a group for items you don't need. Your assuming confrontation is necessary to black list. A lot of us don't bother with confrontation, we just hit the ignore button.
  23. Here's a suggestion. If you need on gear that your avatar doesn't need, but is useful to your companion, there will be several repercussions. 1). You'll irritate your group 2). If you do it consistently in groups, you will become black listed on the server as a ninja looter by the server community (whether or not you agree with that definition). The choice is yours, and you can be as bullheaded as you like about it, but you definitely won't make any friends, and will likely sacrifice your chances of playing the multi-player side of this MMO. Due the focus on server specific group play.
  24. Nice opinion. You do realise opinions are not facts though... right?
