  1. Yeah pretty much this. But I too kinda miss the old project animation though. Plus, if I remember correctly, didn't the "debris" actually match the environment you were in? Most of the time it was a chuck of rock but on a star cruiser or indoors it was chucks of metal or half of an R2-D2 droid. Those were good times.
  2. "Introspection" is the name of the knight's out of combat heal. You should have that at level 1.
  3. If we broke this up into a pie chart, realistically how much of a slice would the no AC "problem" be? With win traders, queue syncing, pve geared players; how often do we see threads about no AC's in ranked? I don't arena, so I don't understand and probably not fair of me to dismiss it. But based on these forums and complaints I do see, my money is on 1 percent of the player base actually has a level 60 with no AC and 1 percent of that player base actually queued for ranked. So napkin math that's what .01% of players in solo queue with no AC. Just report them, I bet for first offense they will get a friendly mail from a droid asking them nicely not to que for ranked again before choosing an AC. They do it again it's suspension time. I'm also not much of an IT person either but realistically how hard would it be to change the WZ queue button in general, not just the ranked, from level 10 to "any advanced class"? That would probably solve this problem with one stroke. The theory being the queue button is greyed out till level 10, just change it so it stays grayed out till an AC is selected.
  4. I thought it made more sense when I googled Edge Case.
  5. I bind my interrupt to mouse wheel press (mouse 3) and out of reflex I'll sometimes use it against snipers/GS while they're in cover channeling something or wasting it on ravage/MS. I'm also guilty of using taunts on healers as well. LOL, what the ****, me.
  6. Doesn't matter and doesn't change anything previously stated. It's hard coded to randomly generate those stats. So unless BW decides to take the time/money to remove those combinations from popping up we'll continue seeing those strange combos till the end of this game's life and all future level cap increases.
  7. If it's unmoddable, just vendor it for the credits. If it's orange/modifiable replace the cunning barrel and mod with an aim ones if you like the look. It's most likely a relic from beta when you could kit out companions for different roles. No companion or AC uses a combination of cunning main stat and an assault cannon; no advanced class or companion that uses cunning as a main stat, tanks. No tanks -player or companion- use an assault cannon.
  8. *sigh* These are becoming less and less funny. It's not you, it's me. Yes, I get it, ha-ha you have low slash on every keybind. PS, why don't you extend out your top row of icons? The question mark (help) is below the rest of the line, probably from when they added the stronghold icon. Doesn't that bother you?
  9. On number 2, if you look at the bonus force/tech damage between a focus and shield, the focus will have a higher value than a shield. Bonus force/tech power in the offhand contributes to bonus force/tech damage (all non weapon damage IE "yellow" damage). Using a shield, even one kitted out for dps is still a dps loss overall. If you're not in a tanking stance, the base 5% shield chance and 20% absorb tradeoff (that's why the bonus damage is less on sheilds) isn't worth that trade. Only use a shield if you're in a tank stance for the +15% shield chance for a total of 20% shield chance.
  10. Exfiltrate (roll) and fall damage for not using the second little platform on the end of the middle level.
  11. May have to do with spam bots as well, on top of the other reasons. Can you imagine if gold farmers were allowed to spam the forums, get banned and simply create another account at no cost to them? BW/EA would have to hire more moderators, again another cost factor.
  12. Are you a vanguard tank per chance? That's the level 20 pulse engine skill in the shield specialist discipline which makes pulse cannon tick twice as fast. Meaning it still does the same damage but in half the time. I don't think any commando spec has a pulse cannon proc.

Then isn't that a team failure and not yours? If you're the only healer a simple "hey if you want some heals someone relieve me" should suffice. If it goes unanswered it's their problem. Though in that case I suspect that WZ is doomed anyway because if they're not responding to that they're not responding to your incoming calls either. On the other hand, which Zoom (I think it was) pointed out, if you're one of 5 healers then yeah you may as well just guard cause we could use the extra dps in the bigger fight.

^^Then were is the guy who initially capped, defended and called when he was under pressure? He's the one who shouldn't have left you there. Worst case you just need to stay for as long as it takes him to respawn and get back. Anything beyond that it's his fault for leaving a healer hanging like that. "You cap it, you own it" should be the unwritten (or perhaps written in stone from the sounds of things ) rule.
  15. Yes and no. Level 20 is good for the ear and 2 implants. That's 75k credits average price for the three ( around 25k each) on the gtn compared to 310 pvp coms x 3. If you don't have those slots filled you're missing 150 expertise x 3. Again at 40 pvp ear and implant upgrades are more cost effective way of upgrading versus overpaying on the gtn. 40 stuff isn't bad for a new player or new toon on a server if you don't want to spend credits for set of overpriced orange gear or if you just like the look. Otherwise, yeah not much else.
  16. Hypothetically if they did consider it, I'd envision something when sheathed will still look like a standard light saber hilt. When you draw it out in the attack position, it would still be just a light saber hilt in your hand with no beam. Only when you use a weapon attack would it show the whip animation. I don't think it would look good coiled up on your side, Indiana Jones style, because of clipping.... if that's what you meant. Perhaps they could add one or two varying animations for standing still with it out. Like the Jugg taps his saber ground or the sorc that twirls hers around a little. They could add something for when holding it out to have it's unique animation that way.

Actually that's more than fine with me. My problem, and I suspect other's including the OP, is that you went there in the first place. You see; I would have gone there, capped it and stayed if I didn't see you and another 1-2 nabs heading there already. This is specifically why I choose to be the last to drop down in ACW for this very reason. The problem with your assessment and solution is you've faked out your teammates into a false sense of security thinking the node was taken care of. Now you want - neigh expect - me (or Bob- I suppose) to disengage from mid in the middle of a fight to babysit your actions because you can't be arsed to finish what you started. Don't go there at all and we won't have this problem. Then I would agree with you and would join you in telling "Bob-" (sorry Bob-, just keeping up with the theme here ) that if he has a problem because no one went there then he should go instead of yapping in chat. I've never once been on a team that said in ops chat "OMG none of you n00bs wen't to our off node".
  18. Yes, A Balance Sage is the exact same as a Madness Sorcerer. It's just the name of the abilities and animations of each reflect a Jedi or Sith version. A Telekinetic Sage is the same as a Lightening Sorcerer, again just the difference between Jedi and Sith. Alignment - such as a light side Sorcerer - won't change anything mechanically. You'll still be a Madness/Lightening Sorcerer using "sith" powers. Same would be true of a dark side Sage, they're still Jedi and use the same Sage animations. It's just most people seem to talk in Empire terms but when someone refers to lightening spec, they also mean telekinetic spec (or TK for short) as well.
  19. hehe they do in game as well, if you're on imp side at least. There is always a fleet announcement that if you've contracted the plague you'll be rounded up for termination. EDIT: Overall though this does sound like a sensible suggestion.
  20. ^^This, that and the other thing. As an addendum; you can also abuse the hell out of your melee companion. Hit ctrl-1, wait a GCD or two, then go engage after she eats all the knockbacks. That should give you the chance to get one of your two aoe's off that incapacitate/knockdown standard and weak enemies.
  21. Pretty sure both are desirable in pve but I don't raid so I should really comment. As far as pvp: FOTM-OP as **** etc and so on based on the pvp forums. hehe Yeah all three specs (healing too) do very well in pvp. There is a nerf coming for lightening/TK disipline, the details of which I'm sketchy on because I'm not on the test server but I think it's more a bug fix then a nerf. Take the thread just below your thread. One says madness will be better, post patch, and another says Lightening will be just fine still. I'm more partial to lightening myself and will continue to play that when I'm not healing (my favorite). Plus I hate playing dot specs in general.
  22. Madness Sorc/ Balance Sage discipline is the dot heavy spec. They use their signature aoe (death field/force in balance) to spread their dots. The "middle" discipline doesn't rely on dots so much, it's a bursty-proc type spec. They do use one dot (affliction for Sorc, forgot the Sage version name) to make another instant damage attack (thundering blast for Sorc) an auto critical hit if target is infected with affliction. They will also use the other dot ability (crushing darkness) as well to compliment their damage but overall it's not the focus of the tree. The middle tree (Lightening Sorc/Telekinetic Sage) I would describe more as revolving around hard hitting instant "spells".
  23. I doubt you'd see them implement something like this. -creating a new faction neutral starter planet -10 levels worth of planet side missions -voice actors for these 10 levels of npcs and 4 VA's for the full class stories plus whatever class specific npc VA for the three chapters -2 whole new class stories -4 new advanced classes -6 disiplines and 12 variations of animations for the mirror class They probably won't even do this either, but if they really wanted to or felt there was a strong desire, I suspect a more cost effective way to do this would be to give the Sorc and Sage an energy whip proficiency, make it a 10m attack and change the Sorc and Sage melee attacks to use willpower instead of strength. Now they could create just 2 animations (the mirrors can just use the same animations) and some coding involved. Still a cost but afraction of what you're suggesting.
  24. I'd say no, it's not a waste of time if you're RPing as such. Sounds like an interesting back story. But mechanically speaking, in game, there aren't any "cyborg" specific story-lines and you don't upgrade the cyborg implants - aside from perhaps spending CC coins to change the look of your cyborg character a little to reflect the "upgraded" implants for RP purposes. The in game implants with the stats on them are available to all races and aren't considered "cyborg only". The cartel coins are account wide, so no you won't lose them. Your gear and credits however would be lost if you deleted that character. If you want to save them, roll the new toon first, log in to the old one, mail over all the credits and gear to your new toon then delete the old one. But this trick you can only do within the same server, you can't in game mail across different servers.
