  1. Id on't either, all I got out of it is the opening poster is "in character" and this is a role playing discussion. Therefore it doesn't belong in the general discussion and needs to be moved to the role playing forum.
  2. You get the stun immunity and damage reduction from brawn. You get the knockback-movement impairing protection from the "new" unstoppable utility. You need to take the utility to get the whole package back to where it was before. So yeah it was a nerf to Veng and buff for Rage/Immortal.
  3. EDIT: I assumed you meant pvp. Warzones is the word for "pvp instances/battlegrounds". For group pve content we use "Flashpoints" , "Operations" or the generic term "Raid". Sorry if I answered a question you didn't ask. Your stat selection is correct, your gear is too highly rated for pvp. PVP uses an expertise stat; it's a stat that boosts damage, healing and damage reduction versus other players. If you don't have expertise (pvp gear) there is a bolster mechanic. If your gear is rated too high (high end pve gear) it actually makes you easier to kill in pvp warzones because you won't get your full 2018 expertise stat. 186 rated gear is too high, you want somewhere around 148-156 rated gear when you enter pvp or you want actual pvp gear from the pvp vendors. But first start by dumping the 186 gear before you go into pvp. 2018 Expertise Main PVP Stat Is Essential How to Become a Contender: Supplemental(Bolster, PvP Gear, and You)
  4. Why can't you just get your two +41 expertise crystals and be done with it? Why go through all this and make these "i'm better than full expertise players" nonsense. Is it just to bicker with someone on the internet and passive-aggressively pick fights with teammates in arena knowing they're going to inspect you and probably say something? Is it because someone is "telling you what to do" is the reason you're stubbornly not going to get those crystals? Are you poor and can't afford 1 (considering one was given out free from last expansion)? Do they ot come in hot pick and ruins your RP immersion? What's the deal? I know Raansu sometimes comes off as 80 grit sandpaper to the face, but his logic here is sound. It's a good suggestion that's been asked for many times.
  5. Favorite: Jugg-tank Operative-concealment Sorc-heal or L-ing Sin-Tank PT-tank Marauder-combat Something sassy I'm supposed to say I enjoy doing more than whatever comes next. Perhaps watching paint dry? Mercenary-arsenal Sniper-marksman What I've played most in the past month: Sorc-L-ing PT-tank Commando-gunnery I did log a Jugg tank for an hour or so, but that's about it. I got a bunch of toons collecting rust atm.
  6. There is still a weekly for lower levels, but it's 5 games instead of 7. This only happens when; you have an old weekly active after they raise the level cap, you don't abandon the "end game" weekly then decide to finish it anyway and turn in it. Now you can't do another weekly again until you hit 60. It was like this in 50-55 as well, I had a few toons this happened too. So I learned the second time around and just abandoned them and got level appropriate one's. Defiantly don't turn them in if you have any more toons with a level 60 weekly on you under level 60 characters.
  7. @ the slightly off topic tangent: who wins? LOVE the armor in the opening post.
  8. If you hover over the link it actually say's where it's going to take you. So no, it's not a rickroll. At anyrate, it's just wordplay. I wouldn't read much into it.
  9. Try using your tank - T7 - instead of Kira. That way he'll take the beating instead of you because he has abilities that generate more aggro/threat than you will. Then when the fight is over just dismiss him and re-call him, that acts as a free heal-to-full for companions. OR Switch to defense spec and use Kira. Now you're the tank building the aggro but you'll have a good aoe presence plus feel a bit beefier. Leap > warding strike > guardian slash (it's an aoe if you have your warding strike buff up) > smash (aoe).
  10. LOL I don't think they're gold farmers, they're NPC's that are copy-paste models. Doesn't really bother me too much. The NPC mission givers - the one's you can interact with - usually have unique looks. That's really all that matters to me. Those guys are just "background" or "redshirts".
  11. Yeah, pretty sure he means the "roll into cover" green Gumby. If you disable all keybinds in your preferences for roll into cover (can't remember if it's under "movement" or "targeting", check em both) you shouldn't see it anymore. I believe that's the fix. Just make sure you still have "cover in place" bound. I personally love it, I've disabled take cover in place and only use the roll to cover bind. It still defaults to cover in place if there's nowhere to roll. You also need an enemy targeted to use to roll in cover, if no one is targeted you'll just take cover in place and there will be no green silhouette. If I may be so bold to ask my own question here; where the hell is the "disable the cover hotbar" ? I know I've found it before but **** me if I can find it now. Been looking on and off for two weeks and still can't find it.
  12. Between all the planetary equipment vendors on fleet (the "supplies section") you can get a full set of orange grade droid parts (motors, cores, parts and a sensor). Just check all the higher level vendors, I think sensor is the highest level one (level 48? Voss vendor). The rest are a little bit lower level, parts I think is the lowest level at level 38 from the Quesh vendor. So the only thing you may have to do is get new mods and such for them.
  13. Here you go. And no, they haven't changed.
  14. Well the PT uses the armor for most of the animations anyway, so in that respect I think it does work well, unless someone is wearing a slave bikini then I idk what to tell you hehe. I was also reminded this weekend that; Energy blast >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> heat blast. Another + in the VG pile for me. Heat blast has almost no animation, it's just a small round orange globe. Energy blast actually looks like a powerful shot. WTB a set of Jace's armor. Why does he get to use the same armor I do minus the backpack? I get it, he's the leet commando and I'm just a scrub trooper next to him. IS THAT IT?!? I think I would enjoy pulse cannon more if; a) the VG didn't slouch over so much when shooting it and b) if it was a more refined/concentrated animation. Flame thrower has the same range/cone but it's a much more streamlined animation (not so wide). If pulse cannon was more like a "concentrated" ion pulse, minus the lower back problem - slouching over- it would be a lot cooler for me.
  15. Concealment operatives have a +50% speed on their "sneak" ability. It's the one that increases stealth level by +15 when in stealth. They can use this out of stealth for the speed buff. Exiting stealth also resets the CD. ^Oh yeah forgot about the hit and run utility. It probably wasn't that though, based on the OP's description of events. Also could have been a Marauder around handing out group speed buffs as well.
  16. This is the third thread you've created today in the same forum asking the same question. Is this a life or death situation you need answered now? Will you continue posting the same thread until you get an answer? Vanguard tank; it's the easiest tank to "plug and play" as it were. It's fairly straight forward and starts feeling tanking right at level 14 (?) when you get ion cylinder - the "tank" stance. Shadow tank was a little more difficult, for me, in the early goings and didn't feel quite right (kinda squishy for a tank) until the 30's-40's. Infiltration Shadow would probably work very nicely with a player tank, especially once you get your behind the back attack (shadow strike I think is the name, it's maul for sins). None of the Vanguard DPS spec have any positional requirements. While I wouldn't say it's a "waste" to go shadow-tank + VG dps, I think it will be more optimal/efficient for you two rolling a VG-tank and Shadow-dps. Honestly 2 players grouping up, in any combination of specs/roles, will chew through content efficiently.
  17. I love you man. I almost posted something similar and constructive as you did in your previous response, wanting to give the OP the benefit of the doubt and because I kinda felt bad he was getting the flak he was. Got distracted by work, came back and refreshed the page and read his followup posts. Glad I didn't waste my time. But add another 1 to the whatever out of /10 score we're at now because I fell for it initially.
  18. Heh, I think you're both wrong. Rocket Punch = Shockstrike Flame thrower > pulse cannon Explosive surge > flame sweep Mortar Volley > DFA (for me it's the throaty sound of MV I like far better than the pfff, pfff, pfff sound of DFA) Riot gas >>>>>>>> oil slick Jet charge >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Storm. Is the VG tank competing in a high jump/track meet competition or are they an elite republic trooper? I really loath that silly looking, running start. So yeah the "perfect" one for me would be a combo of the two. Oh and the PT's jetpack >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> stupid gawdy backpack that seems forced on all the otherwise cool looking -signature- trooper armor.
  19. Well I see you got your answer ; 3.2 will bring the fast travel and fleet passes to zero CD with the three levels of legacy unlocks. However, don't you have a stronghold now? Can't you just fast travel to your stronghold and then exit to fleet with no CD? That was the best thing about the strongholds for me.
  20. I love Sith Pure-blood warriors, it is probably the most common combination for warrior next to humans. I really like my Rattataki Sorcerer. With their hairless faces, very pale skin, greyish eyes and one or two of the tattoo choices; they just scream "necromancer" to me. Exactly what I was looking for. Also note; unless you unlock the Rattataki race through cartel coins, or completing another class story that has them as a base race, you can't roll a Rattataki warrior straight away. They're only available to warriors by completing one of the other three Empire story's as one of them first, unfortunately.
  21. I found Vette to be the much more interesting companion/foil for my DS warrior. She has the funnier in game quips, she's not totally LS (or anti DS as the previous poster stated) and I most enjoyed the finale of the companion/quest arch as a DS warrior + "relationship" component. She dislikes slavery (obvious) and random killing/brutality of "innocents" but she does not mind when you're ruthless towards other pompous sith, moffs or really anyone in a position of power with a chip on their shoulder. There are some DS affection gains and a few others that are merely -1 losses (mildly annoyed rather than "pissed"). I did "cheat" a couple of times and simply brought a different companion in if I really felt I wanted to take the DS option and not take a big hit. What she doesn't see won't bother her, right? To have it work/make sense, I did take a few LS hits when dealing with her directly during her personal story arch. I looked at it this way, I'm a ruthless bastard to the whole galaxy but I need that one place to comfotable without fearing that my special someone will jam a spoon in my eye as I sleep. Vette is that someone, in my opinion. I treated her as an equal partner rather than a servant/slave from the very beginning and thought the whole thing wrapped up quite nicely. Plus I always like the "opposites attract" mo as well. Jaesa is fine and dandy too, and obviously works well with a DS warrior, but the "rawr killem all" does get a bit stale after a while. I've seen them both but Vette is by far my personal fav.
  22. I thought it was: up > down > up > down > left > right > left > right > b > a > b > a.
  23. I suspect it's because some people may enjoy chatting through genchat and when 2-3 spammers in a row are hocking their garbage it's hard to spot/see the guy who's legitimately asking for help finding the advanced class trainer or some other in game related question. Then the "LFG" guys also don't want their message buried/lost in the spam wilderness so they'll re-post almost as fast as the credit spammers. Other's just like being funny in genchat and the credit spam ruins the flow of conversation. All in all I agree, I don't put anyone on ignore and doesn't bother me beyond 'mild annoyance' (not unlike guild recruitment spam lol ). I just report credit spammers as I see them and continue my business but I do understand why it's bothersome to others. I think part of the problem is it just takes BW too long to ban these people. 4-5 hours later, they're still there. Where are the in game mods/game managers?
  24. Off topic, but, if you wanted you can add a signature rather than typing this at the end of every post. Go to "my account" > left hand side, second to last "forum management" > right side second to last "forum signature" > copy/paste that in and done.
  25. Ah cool, I'll have to pay closer attention to it. Plus I'm "one of those" who spend more time on Imp toons than pub ones. It's probably just too fast for me to have noticed.
