  1. The combat system is - finally - different from the usual auto-aim tab taregtting. You aim and dodge, block and maneuver to beat foes, you don't just stand and trust the dice.
  2. If it does not take much time to get BM gear, why have it take any time at all? Makes no sense. The whole idea of having to grind and "work" for gear is so PvE, I can't fathom why any pvper can stomach it.
  3. For all the drivel about wanting casual players, Bioware sure shows in the endgame that they really hate casuals. Only raiders are catered to on the pve side, and now in PvP puggers are second-class players as well.
  4. Slicing allows you to make money - by slicing nodes while questing, but almost importantly, by sending out your companions on missions while you quest, or go on your alt. It's not much per lockbox, but it adds up with the crits and the missions/schems you get. You can sell the missions on the GTN, the schems depends on their scarity, but even common high-level ones such as the purple ship parts can fetch 500-900 credits at the NPC vendor if the GTN won't sell. If you want to make money slicing is still one of the best crafting/gathering skills to take. I have several alts, and I notice the difference in credits between those with slicing, and those with a full matched set of crafting skills, with all other things (playstyle, playtime, level) being equal.
  5. Cross-server queues would solve that problem for PvP.
  6. As long as they don't even out stats and get rid of the PvE "gear should matter, grind should matter" mentality, pvp will always suck past 50 in TOR. And less and less new players will enter pvp.
  7. Gather materials while out questing, from nodes (use the map and click "show resources" so you spot them more easily) and from - for scavening - dead strong droids.
  8. We need cross-server queues, and we need them ASAP.
  9. Just about every crafting skill other than biochem is worthless at 50.
  10. Unlimited medpacks (which heal the companion as well), stims and adrenals. That's far better for leveling than crafting armor - especially if he can use his cybertech and artifice to make comms for orange shells (or buy them with comms from his main). And if he's doing pvp as well while leveling then there's no contest at all. As a player of a healer operative myself, kolto injection and kolto infusion don't exactly render med packs redundant. Any energy not going into healing you and your companion can be spent on killing stuff faster.
  11. Corellia? Who cares about Corellia for mods? At that point you'll be doing dailies for the purple level 23 mods.
  12. Don't remove it from the vendors, just add the schems to the crafters.
  13. Ce n'est pas une discussion privée, juste une discussion en allemand.
  14. He said he already had all skills but armormech covered, that implies he has a biochem already - which he confirmed. Which means he can easily pass on the stims med packs and adrenals from that character to the new one.
  15. No, Slicing gives lots of mission discoveries. I'd say I've had about a 15-20% rate this week.
  16. Yeah, we need defensive mods as schems. DPS/healing mods are fine. Also, if you go through all planets you'll often outlevel the planet to the point that the comms you get will only buy mods 6 levels below you.
  17. If you plan on using the operative at 50, take biochem. Nothing comes even close to the utility of biochem in endgame, all other crafting skills are worthless post 50. Even leveling up you'll get more use out of reusable med packs and stims and adrenals than anything from another crafting skill.
  18. That's it in a nutshell. All that stuff about crafting being worth it and casual players being sought after is a lie. All Bioware cares about are raiders.

    Limited attendance

That's short sighted. If you want pvp to flourish, then treat it as pvp, which means equal gear for matches, not some PvE carebear "grind for gear, earn your gear" hazing fest.
  20. Whenever I die, I repair at the next vendor. I rarely die in solo pve though, I don't ever recall getting the warning sign.
  22. Why do we need to grind at all? Grinding sucks. No one in a game should have to grind just so they can have fun.
  23. A loot processor turns drops from bosses into item, like an NPC. A crafter crafts with gathered materials, not limited by a boss mob's drop rate. It's a difference in scale, as well as accessibility. This is about one type of game content ruining the game for everyone else. This is about raiding being elevated to the one and only content worth doing in the game at 50. There is no need for this to happen. There is no need to ruin crafting which worked fine from 10-49. Raiders can still get the best gear, all I am asking is to be able to craft second- or third best gear. Is that too much to ask? Or are raiders really so selfish that nothing but completee control over the endgame will satisfy them?
  24. SWG at least was not focused on raiders to the extent that everyone else was brushed aside. Raiders had their niche, and their vanity loot, but everyone else, crafters, explorers, roleplayers, pilots, entertainers, had much more to do than TOR offers. TOR endgame is aimed at raiders, even pvp is getting neglected. SWG had its problems, but it offered far more options. You could customize your character far better too, and with a few exceptions, were far less limited in armor and weapon choice than TOR. Even a jedi could at least pick up a blaster and shoot things (And, if you had the right template (pistol using darkside/beast master), even effectively.)
  25. The most important thing is cross-server queueing. All teh fancy rated WZs are no use if you can't get even a normal WZ going in 20 minutes.
