"Slaughter match"; a PvP match where the teams are so unbalanced that there is no challenge to team "A" and most of the team members of team "B" are killed so fast they don't have time to react.
To be clear I don't mind loosing, but being unable to compete because my opponents launch at me from extreme distances, run far faster than me and kill me with two hits is not a compaction.
There is a reason you don't take a high school football player and through him with the NFL. It would most likely destroy him and ruin the sport.
As I've been here from pre-launch I've heard the argument from those that enjoy these slaughter matches. "Get better" you can ask those that I play with, I'm good. I'm also disabled and as good as I'm going to get. "It happens on both sides, Empire and Republic" I think that means we should be able to fix it.
The complaint about people quitting in a warzone, they quit because they feel out skilled, out geared and unable to compete. Why should they stick around is there not enjoying the match? That is why there playing the game after all, to have fun.
This random matchup mentality only encourages cheating and hacking, discourages new people from joining in fear of the imbalance and their lack of skill, and chasses people out of PvP from frustration from these slaughter matches.
Would they think twice about hacking and cheating if it were only going to boost their rank and force them into the arena with those with a higher skill level?
Bioware already has the means to track someone's ability in PvP. It's a beginning to averaging out there ability in the process to ranking the warzones.
We want more people in PvP, not less.
It's been a year, let's get this fixed instead making new armor that makes it even more imbalanced.
And on a second thought, PvP spectator mode. Watch your favorite guilds battle it out against each other in the Arena.
