  1. I don't know about an auto-crit. I do think some sort of damage bonus might be in order, though, even if it's just with Back Blast and Shoot First (and their Operative equivalents). Or maybe make it a high-level skill in one of the skill trees.
  2. Or perhaps the vision was symbolic. The Jedi Knight symbolized the greater force of the Galactic Republic. Scourge's vision was meant to convey that it would be the Republic (represented by the very Jedi he saw) that defeats the Emperor. Or the Emperor could very well represent the Empire as a whole. That's the thing about visions: they're not always literal. The Voss are a great example of that.
  3. Is this a problem with some ability/skill you have? Or is this just a verisimilitude issue? By that, I mean, do you have a skill or something that says "attacks on incapacitated targets automatically crit," or is this just something that you think should happen based on the idea that a stunned enemy can't dodge an attack? If the former, let us know what interaction you're talking about, and we can see what's going on. if the latter, then it's something you might suggest as a Scoundrel/operative skill, but it's not something that's in the game. I can't speak with much authority on the issue. My Scoundrel is only 52, and he's a healer, so I"m not worried too much about damage anyway.
  4. This is probably your best bet. Seethe is based on Darth Maul's pacing behind the light barriers in The Phantom Menace. They're not going to remove that. It does need to be fixed, though, so that it won't make people fall off stuff or just stop for no reason if you hit a pebble on the ground.
  5. I think gunships are just heavy fighters, equivalent to the Assault Gunboat, B-Wing, TIE Defender and ARC-170. They're just heavier fighters with more weaponry. The TIE Defender and B-Wing may be bad examples because they outclass earlier fighters so much. Think A-Wing for scout (light) fighters, X-Wing for strike (medium) fighters, and B-Wing for gunships. You've got two main axes of weapons and speed. Scouts would be high speed, low weapons. Gunships would be high weapons, low speed, and strike fighters are medium weapons, medium speed. All three are controlled by one person. Your gunship idea would be better served with the corvettes we all currently have now.
  6. I was watching someone's stream earlier. The game looks nothing like STO. It's objective-based PvP (the one I saw was capture and hold) that looks like Battlefront without the infantry portion. I did see some apparent X-Wing-esque things on-screen, though. There were WES (Weapon, Engine, Shield) gauges, and the guy was able to adjust the power distribution between the three, though I don't think he knew how to actually do it; it seemed he was doing it by accident. It also looked like you could angle your shields full front, full rear and balanced, though I didn't see a way to shunt power from weapons to quickly boost the shields or vice versa (though, that may have been the first two hotkeys on the bar). This thing *really* needs joystick support, even if I have to stay in 3rd person.
  7. She takes good care of herself. She's older, yeah, but that doesn't make her unattractive. Jane Seymour is 62, and she's still gorgeous. And on the male side, Mark Harmon is 61, and a lot of women find him ridiculously attractive. So, no, I doubt you're the only one disturbed by her age, but for a lot of people, that's not an issue.
  8. They are roughly the same height. My Guardian is BT2, and when she's standing next to a guildie who's BT1, the guildie is a tad taller. But my character is a twi'lek, and the guildie is human with hair. I don't know if she's taller or if it's because she's got hair up there which adds an inch or so.
  9. I'd rather they make it so loot isn't bound to the character until equipped or you leave the flashpoint/op. I was an an Esseles run with a guy who needed on everything. he got my consular stuff, so I got his sentinel robe. I would have traded him for my stuff, but I couldn't do that. Flashpoint loot needs to be tradable until you leave the zone or actually equip it. This will also help with accidental Need/Greed clicks.
  10. Indeed. The amount of smacktalk that Treek uses in combat is highly entertaining. She's my favorite companion to use by far.
  11. You can also see how many datacrons you're missing on individual planets in each planet's codex entry. Then, you can go to a site (like, for example, this one) and figure out which ones you've missed by their codex entry numbers in the Datacrons portion of the Codex.
  12. "Almost" being the operative word there. Now... Future Ahsoka as seen in the Mortis Trilogy? Indeed.
  13. With Marr, "Keeper," and someone to replace Kilran (Dracen is dead, but Grand Moff Regus would work, if he were to step in line with the party philosophy of alien inclusion), the Empire would be in great shape just from a competency standpoint. It's been so long that I can't remember who replaced Jadus' replacement on the Council, but if that Sith were to give Keeper carte blanche in a rebuilt Imperial Intelligence, it would be a much better organization than it was. I do think we need to move this thread into the Spoiler forum, though.
  14. You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the Frontier against Xur and the Kodan Armada.
  15. The Republic has seen losses, too. Nevermind the fact that there are Senators that are sympathetic to the Empire (or at least wish to appease it). The Republic isn't that much better off than the Empire, actually. They have strong leaders in Leontyne Saresh, Jace Malcom and Satele Shan, but the Empire also has strong leaders in Darth Marr and the rest of the Dark Council, which seems to have stopped its power plays for the time being. And, honestly, the Emperor's disappearance isn't that big of a hit. It's a morale hit, for sure. But the Emperor's been an absentee ruler since the Treaty of Coruscant, and the Dark Council has taken up the slack since then. A lot of the Imperial losses can be chalked up to Sith doing what Sith do. But the Republic can't say that. They're genuinely losing good people in the war. Maybe at a slower rate, but it's happening.
  16. Outside of your headcanon, how is she trashy? Is it her previous relationship with Jace Malcom? is it the fact that she dresses the same way she did at 20 in the Return video? I fail to see the trashiness in regards to Satele.
  17. Let's hope so. Hopefully that monstrosity falls into a black hole somewhere. Maybe it'll end up in a universe where it's actually physically possible.
  18. Yup. To be more specific, she's 59 at the time the game starts (I'm assuming when the Barsen'thor and Hero of Tython show up to finish their training). Source is the TOR encyclopedia.
  19. The game has definite problems, though those problems rank very differently for different people. I don't think any of them would necessitate redesigning the game from scratch, though, as FF14 did. I've been a subscriber since the beginning, and I see myself a subscriber for the forseeable future. I sure could go for some improvements in the engine, though.
  20. What if their local newspaper doesn't publish those puzzles? Do they have to go buy books of them and keep them in reserve just in case? I guess in the US we'd have to do the Times crossword. In pen.
  21. Okay. Let's hear your argument. I'm assuming here that by "booster pack" you mean cartel pack. Either way, this is incorrect. The subscriber coin gifts have been the same since the game went F2P: 500-600 coins a month depending on subscription plan and 100 coins a month for having a security key. That's what it was at release, and that's what it remains now. Perhaps you're getting this game mixed up with EQ2? In EQ2, you get no Station Cash, but you are gifted with five booster packs for the Legends of Norrath card game, which can include loot cards. Some of them are remodels, yes. But the ones already in game are restricted to certain armor types and, thus, not good armor for you or completely unwearable, depending on your class. So, it doesn't matter if the Stalwart Protector or Clandestine Officer sets are remodels of armor already in game, since a Consular or Inquisitor can't wear heavy or medium armor. Troopers and Agents who want those armor sets can save the money and get them in their old version if they want. They are not the target audience for those options (or are they? My troopers both use Stalwart Protector. As do all their companions. Thank you, Collections.) Every MMO I've played has charged for name changes, server transfers and the like. Every one of them. And I've played all the AAA MMOs. The only time I ever saw someone get a free name change was when the original name violated the terms of service. That a GM in WoW would change people's names for free is less a statement about Blizzard and more a statement about that particular GM. "The world don't move to the beat of just one drum. What might be right for you may not be right for some." That's the first couplet to the theme song of a sitcom from the 80s called "Diff'rent Strokes." I say this because there are others I've heard from who think GW2 is completely mismanaged and its cash shop is horrible. "Different strokes for different folks" is the old adage, and it applies here. I honestly have no idea how GW2's cash shop is. I have no interest in the game. No, you don't. You just have to buy things like a couple of seasonal capes and hats and other stuff that ... you know ... "appearance items that should just be in the game." They also sell stuff like ... name changes?! What is this milking of the playerbase?! Maybe. It took me a long time to get to LL 50. But, even at the Guild Summit in April (?) of 2012, there were apparently people who already have legacy level 50. It's about time that people with high legacy levels were given something to show for their time, even if it's just an alternate means to buy something that's on the cartel market. Back at you.
  22. Now in my head I'm seeing Donald Duck going around in his Donald Duck voice and just saying, "Sookeh. Sookeh."
  23. I believe Manaan is under Imperial control right now. I can't remember where I heard that, though, so it may just be something I made up.
  24. Bioware did nothing to Revan's Legacy. Of course, that all depends on what you believe Revan's legacy is. To me, Revan's legacy is the post-Ruusan Sith. Revan was the one that inspired the Rule of Two. Despite his redemption, torture, semi-fall and whatever else we might see later on in the MMO, it was Revan who inspired Bane to destroy the Brothehood of Darkness and install a new Sith order. He may have saved the Republic at Rakata Prime, but it is because of him that the Republic ultimately falls almost 4000 years later.
  25. There's also the fact that the story doesn't go into the weeks and weeks spent in hyperspace on that ship. I'm sure the Barsen'thor and Nadia talked and actually grew into a relationship, rather than just deciding to get it on after the Senator died. I'm convinced that there was something there before she became his apprentice, and that the relationship followed a natural progression over time.
