  1. You should test it yourself. Many people on the forums complain about the class and how bad it is, while others don't have much problem. You will have success with lethality if you are a good player. I get similar damage figures (300-400k avg in a full length wz), but I still prefer concealment since dot/aoe damage can be easily healed through or dispelled.
  2. 1. Evasion removes all debuffs that can be removed, even non-physical/tech ones. You can also use it in stealth, so you can vanish then pop it and you'll stay in stealth. 2. I can get close to 500K dmg on my Op, with my average around 350K. I know Sorcs can do much more, but my damage is all single target damage, while they have tons of dot/aoe damage, which can be easily healed through. I do agree that in Huttball, Op's could use some help because of all the ledges and the absurd number of knockbacks.
  3. I do take revitalizers for pvp. Two ticks of it is already roughly 700hp.
  4. In Huttball, I see our roll as to pick off people around the edges of the fight, and to also jump casters in the back. You can also see solo people who run into your base, waiting for passes...you can pick them off. You just have to be very careful about your positioning so you don't get knocked off. In Civil War, if the other team only leaves 1-2 defenders we have a decent shot of soloing it before they can call for help. Also you can defend a node against 2 people pretty much indefinitely. In Voidstar...um not sure. I guess kill things, and also try to ninja doors against a really stupid team? I hate this map.
  5. Acid blade dot is 6 secs, debuff is 15
  6. I'm doing operations as a concealment op. I wear the 4 piece Rakata bonus (+5 energy), and the rest is mostly Battlemaster gear. My backstab with my gear and talents is suppoed to have a 70%+ chance to crit. To be honest, its very hard to judge how "useful" you are because there is no combat log, damage meters, and I'd say on most boss fights you are staring at the lower half of the boss so you can't even see your damage numbers. If I shift the camera up to look at numbers, then you will miss nasty things that happen on the ground. Can your guild make it work? Sure. But I have no idea if I'm being carried, or if I'm actually holding my own. There is a raid fight where everyone goes 1v1 against a mob. This would usually be a decent indicator of your dps, but the mob is immune to stuns and so you can't backstab it after the initial opener (so no Acid Blade either). So I'm usually the last to finish my mob (I do take on the highest hp ones too though), but if I could backstab I'd imagine I'd be right in the middle of the pack.
  7. It has nothing to do with being "caught unaware". We are literally killing some classes before they get up from the initial stun. Also, as a concealment Op, I usually top the dmg scoreboard or get close to it. Its 300-400K+ dmg consistently, single target damage (no "junk" dot or aoe dmg that just gets healed through).
  8. Well sure I've been in WZ's where I do 400K+ dmg, and theres a good sorc who does 500K and beats me. Considering alot of his dmg are dots/aoe and mine is all single target, I don't mind a bit.
  9. If you're not topping the charts in dmg frequently as on Op...then you might want to figure out what you're doing wrong
  10. I break 300K in most WZ's (post 50's only patch too)...I can get close to 500K if the other team sucks. Honestly, I'm fine with the changes as long as HS doesn't cause a full resolve bar. As it stands right now, the class really is too easy to play in pvp.
  11. I'm ok with the change, as long as Jarring Strike doesn't fill the resolve bar completely.
  12. I guess it also helps in lowering the targets defense rating. But acid blade already gives a 50% reduction to armor, so it seems accuracy isn't all that useful. I'm strongly considering buying other classes' Champ gear with my champ tokens, and just putting those enhancements into my stuff to replace some of my accuracy.
  13. Hmm, have you seen any of your abilities (yellow numbers) miss before? I think only white dmg misses, and we hardly ever use that.
  14. The 2 piece Rakata set gives 15% to backstab. Any thoughts on giving up 2 pieces of pvp gear for this? You lose the 4 piece pvp set bonus (which isn't that good anyways) and the expertise, but 15% is pretty huge.
  15. I'm a Battlemaster Op, and I haven't noticed any changes to my damage in pvp.
  16. To be fair, Ops probably have the worst fighting animation in the game.
  17. After Hidden Strikes, I don't immediately backstab, not just because of acid blade dot, but because people are teleporting all around and positional attacks dont seem to hit.
  18. I'm an Op with about 10% expertise (champ gear). Without Biochem, the opener usually crits between 4.5k to 5k. But after Hidden Strike, our attacks do far less...
  19. Would people really pay monthly if there was no character progression? I know I wouldn't. Its fun getting new gear and knowing winning produces tangible benefits.
  20. As a concealment Op, was in Hardmode Eternity Vault fighting Soa, the last boss. I found it very difficult to actually dps him because of the white orbs would keep preventing me from getting in melee, so I was forced just to dps mind prisms, and plink him with my gun. Is this how its supposed to be? I felt really useless compared to ranged.
  21. Maybe this is Biowares lame attempt at pvp balance. Force everyone into 1 profession so everyone is equal
  22. As a concealment Op, I find I USUALLY top the dmg charts without trying to. Yea, sometimes I'll get 400K only to beat by a Sorc doing 500K, but those are rare. The damage output of an Op is pretty insane, which I guess it should be since we lack the utility of many other classes. But yea, Ops get much more effective after getting Hidden Strike. Until then they get that ability, they are one of the more useless classes.
