  1. Since you don't know I will fill you in on what it takes to be a Battlemaster and the RNG involved. On my server, there were about 20-30 who were in the high 50s about to hit Battlemaster with the new patch. So I am sure a few people farmed about a level or so. I was 59 and a half on Sunday, I gave up the grind. In fact, I didn't resubscribe due to Operations bugs. That aside. NO ONE can farm 10 levels from 50-60. It's 47k valor at level 59. I played on Wednesday when the patch hit, and even with full buffs, I was getting 200 valor per kill or so in the morning. I didn't participate in the event, but just looking at the valor involved, you are looking at close to 300k valor to grind for 10 levels. Not only that, but people would be logging off and you'd be running into diminishing returns with the republic. Please stop your QQing and false information. Also, it took me forever to get my champion gear. I am still missing my weapon and Legs. Of which RNG is horrible. I have gotten 3 chests, I think 3 implants, 2 gloves and 2 feet so far. I played regularly, and my luck with bags was horrible, just like with many others ANd then you have people who become battlemaster, and right away get 4-5 pieces. Those people exist on my Vulkar Highway server. We also had about 3-5 people rank 63 or so on the weekend, so the people that hjave their 1000 token mount, I can believe it. Some people just have more time compared to others. Edit - at 59, you are looking at about 12-14 hours of warzone matches non stop to get 47k valor if you are lucky with good queues. That's roughly 1000 average per game if you are lucky. I know I could get in the 1500s, but those were occasional. Don't forget queues either, especially now that they take longer.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N54endKWr3c Watch the video, yes, almost all his kills are on people less than level 30, but you can see the resolve bar fills up after the stun (the white bar). You can also see how much longer fights progress when we are out of stealth.
  3. The 1v3 are versus low level players. I can't take on three 50s, unless they are lower on health. You clearly haven't played enough to notice that it DOES fill up your resolve bar. Also by your logic, other hybrid classes shouldn't heal and dps either?
  4. Everyone seems to be using the same excuse, what if my CC breaker is not up? Well, like everyone else, we have to use our tools to the best of our knowledge as well as for the best situations. If you are breaking a cc on a 2 sec slow, stun or what not, you are making a mistake right there. I can also use the same argument with other classes: What do I do when a sorcerer is chain spamming me with lightning to where I can't get to him or run away because of the slow? What do I do when a sniper has me rooted in place and just pounds at me because I have no resources since I used them all? What do I do when someone pulls me to them in a fire or acid? What do I do when I am constantly chain stunned and rooted in place? I am sure there are others, but you get the point. We all have advantages and disadvantages. I gave you all plenty ideas and tools how to counter us. As well as how to be a more effective player when playing against us.
  5. That video is staged, that guy does what like 17k dmg in one global? You can see by the way the video stops and then all the dmg appears.
  6. This! I would love to play another class that doesn't have to watch cooldowns as much. Even personal buffs and debuffs are too much to keep track of at times. Especially with no timers or notifications, it takes time getting used to. I will loose many times to a good sorcerer because if they shield up after I do my stuff on them and run away, there is no way I can break that shield (which btw takes a lot of dmg) in time before they range kill me. Or even worse, lightning spam me to death with dots.
  7. Let's be honest here, how often do those crit numbers happen? Not only does backstab not crit for so much, the remaining attacks do hit for 2-3k. And if you are not with your team or they are not helping you, why is it the Operatives fault. That's how we play. We are a 1v1 class, get used to it. I run roughly 7.8% expertise, and even with other Operatives getting the ball on me, I still survive. Now why is that? That's not nearly enough compared to most other people wearing full pvp gear. I certainly have trouble against tanks, and no way in hell am I going to bring down a 19k tank. A 10-12k player, I will drop in no time, that's a given. But that's also due to buff stacking. Not going to lie about that, but you get us out of stealth, and we can't do much to you at all if countered correctly. I am not crying about knockbacks, force pulls, charges, sniper knockbacks which don't let you move, I can keep going and going. Plenty other annoying things in warzones.
  8. Well I just gave you plenty ideas on how to counter us and actually beat a class. Why not take what you learn and make use of it?
  9. Just clearing up confusion, a lot of people are saying you can't break the CC, or that we have a sprint, or the fact that we can chain stun you after we knock you down. Well that may be true if the fight prolongs for a while like with healers, or if I decide not to open with the deliberating strike.
  10. I have been jumped by other Operatives, yes they have brought me down to 30-40% health. My immediate go to thing is to health up, or CC them depending on the situation. After that I can either vanish and do the same thing to them and hope I get the upper hand, or run like hell. I usually run if I see another person coming. I actually run a lot. But at the end of the game, I usually have the lowest kills, with high dmg numbers. Not like other people who have low dmg, but high kill numbers. Just more reinforcement, that I pick my targets.
  11. You are right, I thought about it when I wrote it. I changed it to 'Tips on how to beat an Operative' ... much more fitting. Thank you for the heads up.
  12. Hello all! I am Vivo, and I play an Operative on Vulkar Highway. I had a chance to read through most of the 100+ pages of our 'nerf' thread. I got lots of good lulz. There a lot of misconceptions about our class as well as how to beat us in combat. So I will summarize what I know and maybe others can offer their input in regards to beating us in warzones. Before I start, most warzones consist of mainly 70-80% sorc/bh/assassin. You'll usually find about 1-2 Imperial Agents, of which one is usually a Sniper. I feel that's where some of the fault is at. We are rare, and not someone you play against most of the time. You don't know how to counter us. ----------- Our stun does fill up your resolve bar to full. Yes, you can break our stun if you have your CC breaker ability up. We are a 1v1 class. On rare occasion can I beat 3 players, but that's involving a lot of CC burning. If an Operative jumps you, he will try to burn you down really fast, thus not paying much attention to his regen, unless a longer fight. I know I can regen after I go back to stealth. My mission is to kill the target and disappear, I can't recall how many times in warzones no one would target me, after I kill target after target, simply because I am restealthing since I am not in combat. If you break the CC, dot him up so when he vanishes he will be brought back up. However, a good operative, will take dots off with his Evasion shield if up, otherwise he may risk it to strike you out of stealth real quick before dots hit. If you break the CC, another alternative is to knock him back or sprint away or even use some aoe. We have no gap closer, if you kite us, chances are we will die. I know as soon as I have no chance of winning, I am busting on out of there to survive. Most of our damage is melee based, once again no gap closer. Use a shield if you have one. I have noticed if I don't crit, I can't bring you face down for some reason. I rarely go for shielded players. Too much mitigation to mess around with. If you are a low level, I will be coming for you. I can easily get 5 medals out of you in matter of seconds. (2.5k, 5k, solo kill, killing blow, + heal) Don't stay alone, I don't just go randomly killing people. I have targets I am after. I will be waiting for the ball carrier to cross so I can burst him down. I will be looking for stragglers, and I will be looking for healers. ---------------- That's all that I can think of for now, hopefully it will help some players out.
