  1. They make movies and television and books for that. Games are first and foremost about gameplay.
  2. It only counts things you kill not mission complete XP. As a stealther, I seldom am without rest XP (but consequently don't get much benefit from it since I'm not killing much, so it all evens out.)
  3. Or, and I know you discounted this, SKIP CONTENT. If the game doesn't have content you need to skip, then it doesn't have enough content.
  4. It's not ironic. Other than unrealistically sized breasts, body one is not the body obtained by sexually mature women. If those represent the majority type of females you see on a daily basis, it is likely you are either a young teenager or on an FBI watch list. The waistline is not obtained by any human who has adequate access to food and/or isn't into corseting. It's a stick with two helium balloons stapled to it.
  5. Everyone is in the game to have fun. Setting up a situation where the fun of different people is in direct conflict is stupid. It can only lead to a net reduction in total fun. Any form of competition in the game should not be set up to be zero sum like competing directly for resources is. The opposite is what should happen - adding additional people should increase the fun each person has.
  6. SWTOR is an average PvE game, so I can see playing it for a while as a time waster. GW2 sounds like a PvP game with amazingly drool-worthy design ideas, but as a PvP game I will never spend a single second playing it. I don't really see how they are in competition at all.
  7. I don't recall anyone saying they wanted a hybrid online/offline game. People have just said they wanted an offline game. Of course it's not going to happen. This thread is just a journey into a wonderful fantasy land where this game is better.
  8. I have played many games where the company provided free patches to correct flaws in the game. And by "many games", I obviously mean "every non-console game ever". And new content has this great new invention called DLC and micro-transactions. It used to be called a sequel. The only thing different with a MMO is a chance to play with people I don't know and probably don't like and a continuing payment that happens no matter how much I play and even if they don't give me any new content.
  9. But since those would not affect anyone else, they wouldn't be a problem.
  10. When was the last time you saw a movie that was better than the book it was based on?
  11. I would sacrifice voice overs for complex, branching dialog trees that matter and lead to significant differences.
  12. That would have improved episode 2 dramatically.
  13. Don't worry, you'll complete puberty one day and might meet a grown up girl.
  14. I saw a type 1 at a party once. My friend told her she needed a sandwich and made her cry. Entertaining night.
  15. And, yes, OP, that would be amazing. People would make mods I could use to play however I wanted. If I made a mistake or changed my mind about something I'd be able to hex edit my save game. I'd be able to take my time and progress at my own rate instead of rushing through to save myself from paying hundreds of dollars for the same amount of fun I would get from a $60 single player game.
  16. So we throw your score out of the stats given that you can't follow instructions?
  17. Males - anything but 1. Female - I'm regretting the only non-4 I made. 3 looks like a birth defect and the other two trail 4 both in terms of sexiness and apparent usefulness in a fight.
  18. I do the same thing, but I don't see the problem. You heal spec and then are surprised when the best way to play is as a healer?
  19. *** are you talking about. It sounds like you are accusing him of being a conspiracy theorist. That would be an odd thing to do given that the part you quoted was about people investigating things. Did you mean to quote another post or are you just naturally confused like that?
  20. I have stopped blaming them. When people consistently use such a stupid argument without realizing how moronic it is, truly all of society is to blame. Next time you want to call someone like him dumb, look in the mirror for a second and realize that it is your fault - and mine. If we were more aggressive in using social pressure to belittle people who say such dumb things, these poor arguments could be eradicated. It's a worthy cause - like fighting cancer or something.
  21. Removing/minimizing unnecessary delays like loading screens. Elimination of rote, repetitive tasks. Superior communication and grouping tools.
  22. It's not a question of how people can avoid listening to it, it's a question of whether or not enough people don't want to listen to make it a waste of money to produce.
  23. Then who should roll on that raid item? Is it intended to be raid vendor trash?
  24. That sounds like a flaw in game design. Better for players to know about it and complain so it can be fixed.
