  1. For the republic, you can start together being a Smug/Trooper (since both start at Ord Matell) or by being a Knight/Consular, as both start at Tython. Once you can go to Coruscant, that doesn't matter, as all major quests follow the same planet sequence (i guess, since i've never played Knight/Consular), so you can cruise with your friends around;) For the Empire, if you start as a Bounty Hunter / Agent you start at Hutta, and if you chose a Warrior/Inquisitor you start at Korriban. From there, it's pretty much like the Republic quest sequence, as IMperials follow almost the same planet sequence once they get to Dromund Kass First char i've made was a Trooper (so i was placed at Ord Mantell) and my friend made a Knight, and started at Tython, so we only got together at Coruscant, but a couple of hours of playtime time will get you there with no major problems. I'm not a fan of playing the same class as my friend, so we both can enjoy the perks of each of the classes, and using them as a team in PvE, and helping each other to finish class quests it's a blast (and trying to get the wrong answers for the dialogues it's like troll heaven )!
  2. Legacy Name: Malis Toon names: Commando (cyborg) - Nunilmalis (yeah dumb, basically repeating the legacy name, i wish i could change my toon name...) Sniper (Chiss)- Vi'boss Merc (Zabrak)- Senun Basically, i always try to go with Starwars-esque names, and always using Malis as the last name (Ma from my mother's first name, Maria, and Lis from Lisbon, city where i was bourn )
  3. So far, only right hand on the mouse and left hand around the WASD region, and pressing 1-5 for the desired skills (that i select to bind to those specific slots)...and no problem whatsoever still doing great, even in PvP (pre 50 still)
  4. As far as i know, you can keep the moddable items if you like the looks of it as removing the mods gives 0 stats to that specific piece of armour, only the mods make the difference ingame (anyone correct me if i'm wrong)! Basically, i'm still keeping my Athiss Sniper Armour as i'm leveling up, only modding it as needed, because i just like the looks of it
  5. Well i'm a sniper, a Merc and a Commando and i have a blast playing Huttball most of the times...weird
  6. The farther i have been so far is Alderaan, and i do believe every single planet has those shuttles to the fleet, outside the main city. For example, in Dromund Kaas, that shuttle is located at The Wall Tatooine has it, and so does Alderaan and Taris
  7. hmmm...green and red at the same time (just like my beloved Portuguese flag)? not sure i've ever found one so far...actually i have a green camo custom heavy armour (for my Merc) that i think has some red highlights, but not sure, and i can craft a custom heavy armour for my trooper with red highlights (Lacquerous something...), but prob not what you're looking for...
  8. I've played WoW before, but never been a Raid/Group Instance guy, basically i just grouped with the 3 or 4 friends i was playing with and until now, i never realized that Greed is better than Need I'm having a blast playing SWTOR (with only 3 friends) and we don't have so much free time as we intended to, so we could play this more actively. So, based on this, we rarely group with others (as we don't like to force others to our time constrins, or even our will to "stay" in a grouped FP), so we all thought that "Greed" is worst than the "more polite Need"...ohhh how wrong were we As the great Gordon Gecko said, "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good"
  9. That's probably the main reason i hated Balmorra...to travel from that Imperial Camp to the Arms Factory was a pain! even the Arms Factory is divided in like 4 distinct zones, having recurring quests in each of them... and i've just remembered that my BH is there, just waiting do to all of that...*sigh*
  10. Have in mind, not an hate thread i'm having a blast playing TOR, and i do think the game is getting better in each update In every game, there are those levels (or areas) that you absolutely despise, either because of the specific gameplay, textures, or overall look and feel...so, obviously, in TOR, those planets do exist For me, so far, (lvl 35 commando, lvl 34 Sniper and lvl 19 Mercenary) those planets are Balmorra and Alderaan, no questions asked. Balmorra for everything: look, landscape, missions, mobs, bugs (i'm not found of bug related species, as colicoids...every single mission related with them is like EXTERMINATE:confused:). For Alderaan: it reminds me of Balmorra prettier landscape, but the look and feel is basically the same...hell, it even has those squishy bug thingies, the Killiks:mad: Overall, leveling through both planets just feels like a chore On the other hand, even being huge, Tatooine was awesome, and i had no speeder available at the time And you? which areas do you hate the most?
  11. 1- I've started my BH like 2 weeks ago or something, and went Merc, just because i wanted to double shoot stuff Since i've played my trooper (the Merc is my 3rd char), i've changed my playstyle to something more DPS like, and ranged DPS was like love at first sight Also, my other Empire toon is an Armstech Sniper, and has been feeding my Merc with some pretty nice blasters, and giving Mako (the first companion you get) some above level vibroknifes 2- Selected cybertech,so i can craft some mods and armour for my Merc and companions (as my Sniper has been feeding some Barrel mods and, ocasionally, some materials). Then i've found that i can also craft some earmods, so even better Got scavenging and Underworld Trading to complete the crew skills PS: i'm absolutely loving the BH gameplay (story hasn't really picked up yet), and this is saying much, as i'm travelling trough Balmorra, a planet that i absolutely despise...
  12. Please don't follow any advice posted in here so far...they are all terrible, just keep getting pounded by gunslingers by the way, you should NEVER put a Sniper out of cover, they are just sweet guys, they have worked hard for their portable shields and they are just misunderstood PS: This message was brought to you by a sweet Sniper
  13. I really lolled to that I'm currently hating my Commando story (and gameplay) with a passion (that's why i've started a Sniper and lovin' it ) but heck, i do want to finish it so i can relish on the "mission acomplished" feeling!! I'm lvl 36 and still have to finish chapter 1...only 14 lvls to go, so bring it on!!!
  14. Yap, Sir Winston Churchill it has been answered before by Angel_of_Cain, and i tought it was a sentence fit for this Regarding the "fun/equipment hunting" topic going around here, i play PvP 'cause i enjoy it! am i such a big misfit around here?? I love helping my team scoring in HT, i love trying to get a Cannon in Alderaan, i really enjoy defending (instead of attacking) the bomb sites in the Voidstar...mind you, i'm not a tactics freak, i just love shooting stuff, and if it's in PvP, better even when i lost, i mostly had a good time! And, as i said before, i never quit...i'm i being pounded? probably, but hey, i bet the other guy is enjoying killing me Do i get a reward after? Yes? awesome!! If i don't...well better luck next time!
