  1. QFT. My poor Mage in WoW. Brings back memories.
  2. I totally disagree with you. While one-button macros would be no fun, there are a TON of UI mods from WoW that I wish I had in this game. Mostly being able to resize, cut, and move the UI. I do miss my add-ons.
  3. Nice eloquent post OP. I think TOR has about the right amount of exploration, but needs more players to fill in these planets. I don't forsee Southshore/Taren Mill-like battles anytime soon. Anyway, for me, most of what you said is important, but there are so many other things they need to address right now. You're right, we'll have to wait for an expansion planet.
  4. Except Qyzen always uses his AoE and knocks the enemies out of force life.
  5. This quest was a pain in the butt for me too OP. As a sage, I had to use evey trick in my bag, the aid station, Biochem stims, Force Lift. Force Lift is necessary for this area, which should be a 2+ quest if it wasn't a class quest.
  6. Yes, but if you die they go away...PvP or otherwise...Right now only 400 level purple stims stay after death. All stims need to stay on after death.
  7. Well said, I hope Bioware addresses this quickly.
  8. I agree OP, the hard part is not knowing the time investment will be. Who wants to spend 7 hours going after a level 33 purple when you could be level 37 by then? It makes no sense for low level epics to take that long to get. I'm fine with it at 50.
  9. Hmmm, I think the biggest problem is you out level the content before you can make it useful. With the amount of time it takes to craft some of the later items, you're better off overleveling your craft so you have your purps ready to go when you ding that next tier. It takes an absurd amount of tries, and I am fine with that at level 50, but while leveling it decreases the utility of crafting. Still, it will be nice to know that most players won't put in that much effort, so you can make some credits off of it.
  10. /signed. Give us modding ability Bioware! Enough is enough!
  11. Wow, I worked 80 hours a week for a couple weeks and that sucked. I can't imagine that someone does that regularly and has time to play. I tip my hat in your direction sir.
  12. Sir, people will always compare substitutes of a product to the actual product they are considering for purchase. When you go to the grocery store do you not compare the store brand to the name brand? Do you not compare one grocery store to another? The time the product has been out is largely irreverent to a large amount of people choosing whether or not to buy the game. While I agree that most MMOs launch in this state or worse, it is because of very good substitutes the consumer demands more. The bar has been raised and developers need to step up to that challenge.
  13. I think most people agree with you, I know I do. However, most if not all MMOs and other games are released this way. Look at Madden. There are bugs in 2012 that have been in the game since Madden 2001 on Playstation when I first started playing the game. At least over time Bioware will improve the game.
  14. About 3, yeah, see there are many more Americans playing this game than Europeans and money talks here in North America friend. I know you Europeans are used to your goverments regulating everything for fairness, but we represent a larger $ amount, so back off . Thank you. Now instead of pissing off your friends across the Atlantic, how about we come up with a solution where everyone wins? Dear Bioware, please perform server maintenance on the European servers during times when not a lot of Europeans are playing, separate from American maintenance.
  15. You realize that probably less than 1% of the players are level 50 right now. I wish Bioware could give us some numbers, but I can certainly tell you, out of 1.6 million players you are the minority. Suggestion? Take it easy for a while and roll an alt or go ganking/exploring.
  16. Wow, you never played WoW at launch huh? When WoW was released it had EQ1 and 2 to compete with, as well as FF11 and other MMOs. It succeed because it was much more fun than any other MMO at the time for and many others agreed. Word of mouth spread and over time as well as many improvements WoW became the behemoth it is today. It also ran on low end PCs and EQ2 did not. While I dislike the way EA runs their company, you would be a fool to think in 6 months no one will be around. In fact, this game will probably be at its highest subscriber base yet in 6 months. EA has stated in a news article on Gamestop "SWTOR will be substantially profitable at 500,000 players." Guess what? the game already has 1.6 million players according to Bioware. The game is already a success. People like you are a very, very small minority (like less than 1%) of the player base. You can't think that because you rushed to 50 and have nothing to do, that everyone thinks like you and thus the game will fail. Most people don't think like the hardcore crowd and even within that crowd, people like me disagree with you. Please no more posts like this.
  17. Gosh, I remember making this game argument for Mages in WoW time and time again. Ah, the roller coaster that was Mage in WoW. I'm a Jedi Sage and Snipers do amazing damage from range. When I know I am being shot by one, I back off out of line of sight, heal if possible and sneak around behind the sniper and fight at close range. A lot of Snipers have tunnel vision and don't even realize they're being attacked until it's too late. In conclusion: Use the tools of your class to play to your class' strengths. If you stand in a prime sniping zone, expect to die just like in any FPS or MMO.
  18. Always well thought out posts from you . I'm not sure if you have thought about this, but for the Balance tree, would Crit be the priority for DoT healing returns? Conversely, Alacrity seems strong as you can get through Telekinetic Throw faster to get to procs of Presence of the Mind faster and I'm not aware of any limits to how often Presence can proc. Just wondering you thoughts.
  19. Arcane Mages were all about mana efficiency and raid utility, which is what the Telekinetics tree looks like, except I think it is more all around useful. In the stickied guide, the author says Telekinetics plays similar to a Elemental Shaman minus the totems.
  20. loling at the thought. I found a pretty decent assortment of gear styles and none of them have been as feminine as the OP's pic. so I'm not sure if a couple of feminine sets for female consulars concerns me just yet.
