  1. So I'm sittin here, goofing off on wow while the patch patches. Suddenly I hear "BZZBBEEEPPPZZPPP!" (that sound the launcher makes when it's ready). I had WoW muted, and didn't realize my sound was up from listening to music. Maybe poo'd a little... not sure... either way... YAY! I'M DONE PATCHING!
  2. Again... if you are spawning in your med center and someone has gathered a group and is camping it... then that sucks, but that's PVP. You can play multiple characters. To say "quite literally be unable to play" is wrong. Rather it's "unable to play in the way I want".
  3. If you are on a PVP server then it's ok to do that. My roommate got that response from a ticket he opened. I'm not sure about PvE though. Really sorry to see that happen. Toss yourself on the other side of that token... imagine it, everyone working together to squash the other side. On one hand it's annoying, on the other it's a blast. Take your pick. You also may want to wait more than 2 minutes before bumping your own thread
  4. Your statistics are the same... and you're just a troll... so what's that say?
  5. Because it's not always as simple as that. Especially with MMO's. When you play an MMO you have a certain feeling of, for lack of a better word, pride. You have pride that you're part of it, and because of that you want it to succeed. You feel like your 14.99 is the biggest contribution per month, and that they need to listen and work with the community. So when an MMO goes sour for you... you post on the forums. You get a feel to see if you are the only one. Sometimes you will find out, yes, you are alone. Other times you're not. Rarer yet you will get some amazing suggestions that will rekindle that spark you've been craving. That little push to make something epic once more. So yeah... that's why it has to be asked. OMG Totally separate note, TL:DR totally fits here lol.
  6. The forums tend to be an interesting thing for support. On one hand you want to answer as many questions as you can. On the other you want people to read faqs and the sort so you are answering unique questions. I do feel like this customer support forum is a little lacking that others. Though Rift's is nearly as dead, I think really only World of Warcraft has a better response... but I wonder if it's a better response, or just that there's so many people posting.
  7. So instead lower levels just joining the game should get completely owned and steamrolled by 50's "trying to get even with other 50's"? Right..........
  8. Heh just figured out what TL DR meant... *facepalm* So yeah, this is a really new MMO (obviously), and because of that the "yay I hit 50 now what?" is a bit weak. http://www.zam.com/story.html?story=28733 If that has any truth to it then yes you are about to get some content at 50. Right now so far here's what I've found to do: 1. Do the ilium dailies 2. Get my reputation with my companions maxed 3. Get my crafting maxed and my epic schematics done 4. Help my guild members with those hard to solo quests 5. Go back and finish quests I missed to get titles and fun stuff, and bonus missions 6. PVP at 50 and start to get my gear sets 7. Visit in general chat, meet new people, make friends, form groups, run Flashpoints 8. Drop my crafting profession for another now that I've gotten bored with it 9. Find all the holocroms 10. Start exploring other talent specs of my class I HATE my list, mostly because a lot of is is very grindy. I know my expectations are so high that no one can reach them, and I'm very much the... "It's all about me, give it to me now, I want it before I thought of it to keep my entertained" sort of person. Even so, I've managed to find a few ways to enjoy the game at 50. Yes, 8 separate story lines. Very cool. Not everyone enjoys that, I don't. I only ran 4 of them and said "I'm done" with the leveling. I hope you find something to enjoy, the last thing I can recommend is this: Cancel the account, find another game, come back in 3 months. I'm not trying to come off as a jerk by saying that. In Rift, I started with open early release. It was fun, I got to 50 there and went "zomg I'm so bored!!!" quit, came back 4 months later played for a few weeks had a blast, quit came back a few months after that... another blast... quit... etc...etc...etc... Good luck! May the schwartz be with yooouuuuuuuuuuu
  9. Why is it that all the "I hate this game" threads are closed... but any thread with the slightest "I kinda, maybe, sorta, support, like this game" are left open... with pages of trolling and anger to follow?
  10. Try again... you can come up with a more witty response than that. Responses to trolls must make us laugh and giggle. Yours did not. DO EIT!
  11. The only thing that could have made this better is if you were McFly.
  12. It's getting added in the next patch yay! ...........
  13. So either A) you never really played SWG... or B) You completely missed the point of SWG. SWG wasn't like other MMO's. It didn't really have end game content, it really didn't have group content. (If you say killing a krayt dragon was end game, or going into the Mandalorian fortress was group content... then I suppose you're kinda right? But my commando solo'ed both XD) That game was more a platform for insane theory crafter's, and big RP'ers. It did not have a lot of features that other MMO's had because it did not have a lot of the content other MMO's had. You should really strain your mind and try not to over glorify that game. Don't get me wrong, it was fun, but it was short lived. The CU update and changes happened rather quick. I hate to say it, but that also sort of contributed to the greatness of the game. Have you tried playing on SWGEMU? It's the emulator that is recreating the game in the way it was before the CU. A lot of folks are realizing that it wasn't really as great as they remembered. The greatness was in their memory. Of course the game is competing... it's the first month. Warhammer Online competed in its first month. Wait a few months lets see what happens. I think SWTOR will surprise us. I do think Dev's listen, they may not respond, but they do listen. EA has always been about the money, when fans complain they really could care less so long as they pay. Once they stop paying though that's another story. So we will see what happens. I have a feeling SWTOR will do fine though.
  14. Can't speak for the Republic buuut for the Imperial Sith Warrior - Strength Sith Inquisitor - Willpower Bounty Hunter - Aim Imperial Agent - Cunning I imagine it's the exact same if you go to the other side.
