I've tried this this morning with the odd result, that the client isn't launching anymore when I hit "play". I have an ATI card (6850), so no idea if that is the reason. I took that line out of the settings.ini again and the client startet up just fine. Oh well, guess I'll just wait till this is supported by the client. The graphics aren't that bad, so I can wait.

Haven't read the whole thread and it may have been said before but: Here we go again. I know I should have made a Blizzard altar where I can pray and worship at. And at topic: I had no problems so far, controls and responsiveness seems flawless to me...but then I never played that Blizzard game of yours, so I'm probably not familiar with "the good stuff" and settle for sub-par only. le sigh

Please share the link to the webcam you obviously have. You know, the one showing the dev and tech team sitting around, having breakfast and coffee while the forums explode. The one, where the Biowares are laughing their buttocks off. Please? What...you don't have one? Then how exactly do you know what they are or aren't doing now? And if you know how to fix this then why don't you just hop into your car, drive over there and fix it? I take offense in the implication that WoW is the only "real" MMO. It is attitudes like this which make the WoW community so disliked, to put it mildly. You are doing "your game" no favour with this. And if a F2P MMO could dome better...don't know, havent tried to dome with one. Just sayin'.

Funny you say that, yesterday I had a mission on Coruscant, where I had to order some troops to stand their ground for the greater good. Guess what. got light side points. Letting them leave would have gotten me dark side points.

And we also have a canon reference for that. In Revenge of the Sith, at the space battle in the beginning, Anakin wants to help out the pilots, because they are likely to get slaughtered as bait and cannon fodder. Obi-Wan tells him "No, they are doing their job, so we can do ours." This implies, that the mission is far greater than the lives of 5 or 6 pilots. On this take, also in game, when you help your fellow soldiers by bringing the much needed medicine to them, instead of helping a (admittedly somehow ackwardly hot) cat woman, you get dark side points. So, you're faced with a dilemma...let the soldiers die or the children suffer. When in fact it is: If the soldiers die now, the children will for sure follow or suffer worse than now. Odd moral choices placed upon us.

Hmm, we are going in circles here. Some say, WoW is 7 years old and you cant compare them. Others say, this is 2011, so you must compare them in order to see what is missing. I really doubt that. Not just because of my own view but I think the players have more faith than you give them credit for. I don't think SW:TOR can be killed that fast. Not with the amount of pre-orders and current players, if I just have a look at the queues. I could be totally wrong, though. But I'm not afraid it will come to a sudden death.

Easy, if it is rushed and implemented wrong, it has the potential to be misused. Just read the last two pages in here. People are afraid they'll be put into a complete PUG and have to deal with ninjas and all the like. I for one can understand those fears.

I'm not saying you are to blame, because you rushed, but to me it seems that this urgent problem of yours will even out itself in 1-2 weeks. Though it might be tough, I think you are in the minority (so far) and it would be unwise to cater to the minority with some half-baked solution which has the potential to make a lot of players unhappy. I'm not silly. I try to understand, although I admit I don't make myself clear from time to time. But I'm in good company I guess. Letting BW know what would be nice to have later on is fine, however often it seems like BW gets the shaft because they didnt launch with the feature. And according to some here it must be easy to develop such features (I'm not referring to you, mind you). /shrug
