  1. Cancelled my subscription today. The reason I'm writing here is in the hope the game can improve, I'm willing to come back if it does. - I hit level 50 and don't really have the desire to start levelling alts. - Flashpoints take way too long to find a group for. - PvP is pretty dead on my server, and doesn't come close to the competitive multiplayer other games have on offer (games without subscription fees!). - Daily quests become redundant once you've done them for a week or so, and are incredibly generic anyway. - The interface, balancing, space combat and travel/exploring are below my expectations. I enjoyed WoW but it got old. I came to SWTOR expecting (with my guild) to have a similar, improved, experience but the last two months have been a let down. I'm never going back to WoW, but sadly I'm not staying here either. Disappointed.

  3. I've been level 50 for over a week, have tried multiple times to get a group together for hardmodes but it's almost impossible to get a full group together. Getting sick of spamming "looking for 1 more tank/heal/DPS" in general for 15 minutes, it isn't fun at all. Option 1) Community: start using the LFG flag, start participating in groups and put one of the 'M's back in MMORPG. Option 2) Bioware please give us a better way of getting groups together for flashpoints. I know there's a bunch of argument about dungeon finder or not, personally I don't think it would break anything to include it (they all start in the same place anyway!). Whatever the solution, we really need one because the current state of flashpoints is really disappointing.
  4. I've been pretty disappointed and will probably cancel. Sure the game is new and every MMO needs time to develop blah blah, but having hit level 50, the truth is I'm feeling really let down by just how many features are missing. -no minigames -no interesting diversions (space combat at 50 has meaningless rewards) -no interesting dailies -Flashpoints and ops are very plain, feel 'grindy' and are very hard to find groups for -no achievements encouraging me to go back and explore/rerun old content PvP is the same 3 maps, dominated by premades. Biochem and expertise give really unfair bonuses and that is turning new PvP'ers off. After playing RPGs like Skyrim, open world games like Saints Row 3 and multiplayer like MW3/BF3, I'm struggling to see how SWTOR is worth the grind. Honestly the only reason I might stay is that I enjoy playing with my guild, and if you're on the right end of PvP premades its fun to keep dominating matches.
  5. 1) Dungeon finder. Finding a group and getting them all to the flashpoint takes too long, it's not fun so hardly anyone is playing flashpoints. 2) UI customisation. Especially UI scaling. I play on a high-res monitor and the current UI is awful. 3) Group loot rules. Don't let classes that can't use gear roll on it. It only causes grief, whether it was intentional or deliberate. WoW's 2-hour grace period for trading bound items with those eligible for them would have been nice, too. 4) Selecting PvP warzones. Lots of people hate huttball. I know it helps reduce PvP queues, but melee classes hate it. I'd be much more likely to queue for PvP if I could knock it off the list. 5) Skills that level as you level. Returning to a trainer every time you level up is not fun. It's a timesink. 6) Addons. Especially DPS meters, or at least a combat log. I have no idea which of my skills/rotations are most effective which makes learning my class really hard. It's also very hard to analyse fights to work out what to avoid, which mob to kill first, what to interupt etc... 7) Guild storage. Sharing materials and items with guildies is a big part of a successful guild. Currently this is reduced to asking/offering in guild chat, which is pretty tedious. 8) Achievements. They were fun, quirky and added longevity to the game. A great way to spice up repetitive encounters and great personal goals for PvP. 9) Fishing. Great way to pass the ti.. nevermind, maybe SWTOR is doing some things right.
  6. The amount of CC is absolutely killing PvP for me. When I play a game, I like to be able to control my character's actions- the battle should be about selecting the right actions and responses, not sitting there completely locked down for a good section of the fight. Before raging at me to "go back to WoW", understand the reason people post here is because we want to enjoy this aspect of the game, which is pretty difficult currently.
  7. CC and stuns are so frustrating in this game (i play a melee class), especially knockbacks in huttball. It's not a rewarding challenge trying to deal with it, it's frustration. I am playing a game where I can only control my character for 50% of the critical moments. My solution: PvP here sux, worse than WoW even, so back to Battlefield 3!
  8. You get protection from skills like 'guard' that transfer damage from other players to yourself. This is primarily what you expect from a tank playing PvP.
  9. I agree that the huttball arena gives advantages to ranged DPS, there are so few ways to close on them. As a Sith Warrior, all I can do is use force jump. A sniper in cover is immune to that jump, and most classes have a knockback that kicks me right down again. If I get knocked back, there's a chance it's into an acid pool or a fire pit. I've played it a lot, but I can't work out good strategies to tackle ranged classes as a melee player in huttball, it's really frustrating. Especially because I know how easy it is for them.
  10. As a melee class, I find huttball really frustrating as there are so many traps/ledges that ranged can use. I've never seen a game where both teams score, it's usually one or the other (I've played about 15 huttball matches). It would be nice if people like me, and it's clear there are many of us, could choose not to play huttball. That is all.
  11. I really hate that the color crystal is only useful between levels 10-14. What a disappointing bonus, 1 week in and it's already forgotten about.
  12. To put it simply: I played instances in WoW all the time, loved them. Dungeon finder was amazing and improved my experience. I started off playing Flashpoints in SWTOR, but after the first one it is just way too hard to find a group and wastes too much time. Lack of a dungeon finder is taking the second 'M' out of MMORPG.
